Either small or medium should work fine, just get whichever are cheaper! I ended up getting this huge box:

But with nine, using 3 on each panel (the other ones stick to the wall), you really only need 27 pairs (for now -- you're gonna want to upgrade, trust me, heh). Looks like the best deal right now is $12 for two of the 18-pair sets from Amazon, and you'll have some to spare in case you end up moving them, getting more, etc.

I still need to set mine up -- be sure to post pictures of what you decide on!

I recommend the Command (https://www.amazon.com/Command-Refill-Strips-6-Strips-17023P-ES/dp/B000FCGS5Y) strips. They are SUPER good and one strip can hold around 3 pounds (I think a whole aurora ways less then that), so it should hold them pretty well, just use A TON.

So I have been thinking today, to consider a backup plan and alternative, incase the splitter method doesn't work. I ordered this super cool speaker a few weeks ago, it has a TF/SD card slot for putting in a TF/SD card with preinstalled music, so I think I can just put the songs I want to loop on it and play it at ambience noise level (Like not normal volume, just background relaxing music). The speaker also comes with a remote to control it from a distance, so I can control when to play it. My idea is, since my galaxy speaker is already going to be right next to my monitor (Here's a picture for reference, setup is still incomplete), and I'm planning to install the Nanoleafs right above my monitor, I could use the speaker as a catalyst for music reaction to the Nanoleafs, since the speaker and the rhythm module will be like 2-3 ft away from each other.

So what do you think? Using Light to react with more lights 😁

Haha yeah. But a decent LED grow panel like this pulls about 130 watts. Each triangle Aurora panel pulls 2 watts when it's white and max brightness. From an energy standpoint you'd need 65 panels. Plus the light is diffused and white light is not optimal. You'd probably need like 100 panels.

Not sure why this is reviewed so low but these are the step best double sided tape type things you can get. They don't sell the tape in rolls sadly but trust me. Once these go on, they're never coming off.

You'll almost definitely rip the paint off your walls when removing. But if you really want them to stick. It'll work.

They integrates well with Alexa. I've also bought the set below before and they work great. These are remote controlled rather than smart home integrated.

I know exactly what you're talking about. I don't think there is an easy way to do this. The problem is that Macs automatically change their built-in output to headphone output when a cable is inserted into the headphone jack. I just double checked Apple's Audio MIDI Setup utility, and you can't create an aggregated output device with both the built in speakers and the headphone jack in that application.

BUT what you can do in Audio MIDI Setup is create an aggregated output device between the built in speakers and a bluetooth receiver, so if you picked up a wireless bluetooth receiver you should be able to setup playing audio simultaneously from your Mac and the Rhythm. Another option that's a little easier to setup would be to use a program like Rogue Amoeba's Airfoil and a Chromecast Audio. I used this setup myself with my Rhythm for about the past year. Airfoil is a great little program that lets you sync up audio between your computer, Apple's Airplay, Google's Chromcast Audio, Sonos, Bluetooth, etc. It's like the Swiss Army Knife of playing audio from a lot of different sources.

Chromecast Audio is also still $15 at a lot of places at the moment due to on going Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales, so it could actually be cheaper than that bluetooth adapter I posted above (though you'd have to spend $30 on the Airfoil program as well to use it with a Mac).

Just keep in mind you need 6 per panel. 3 on panel, 3 on wall.

I just went to Walmart and bought up packs. They have value packs that were a better deal than amazon.

I'd also recommend trying the Outdoor Command strips. They're made of a bit sterner stuff and stick pretty well to porous walls.

Well… this little photography project is more complicated than I anticipated. If I lock the exposure on my phone to make the comparison, one photo is either very yellow or very blue, due to the crisp white of the Aurora vs. the warm white of the incandescent bulbs. Also, the shadows are weird from the overhead light vs. the wall-mounted Aurora.

Here’s what I ended up with: yellow one is the incandescent overhead light in the ceiling.

It probably makes more sense to use a light meter across the room from the light source rather than taking photos, but… I don’t have a good light meter. The gizmo on my phone tells me the overhead light is less than half the lux of the Aurora, which can’t be right (maybe it’s the effect of RGB white LEDs vs limited-gamut incandescent warm white?).

Anyway, if anyone has any advice on how to go about it, I’m open to suggestions.
