To be fair, a sea sponge is an organic item--it's an animal! As such, it will disintegrate in your shower eventually, just like any other organic item would, including, eventually, a natural brush (and just like a typical loofah definitely will NOT--since they're plastic :).

You may try a Konjac Sponge, though they're not meant to be used with soap, and they also disintegrate since they're plant matter.

Another alternative is a true loofah, though they are not particularly soft like a plastic loofah.

Or, if you really don't want to try something organic (plant or animal), you could get a recycled plastic loofah.

I would also suggest an essential oil diffuser in addition/instead of a kit.

I recently got mine and I love it; if just for the great smell.

You can find many on amazon for fairly reasonably priced.
I bought this one...But any will work.

You can also find kits like this.

They are not super duper high quality but she can find EO's she likes then invest in better quality ones.

Generally if your hair is static-y your hair is probably really dry. What kind of oils were you using? I use dry argan oil spray - http://www.amazon.com/Organix-Renewing-Moroccan-Weightless-Healing/dp/B00CQ7S4B2/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1415029883&sr=8-5&keywords=argan+oil+spray+for+hair - particularly this brand. Make sure not to spray it directly onto your roots. Spray it on the length of your hair, then use your hands to work it to the ends and then run your hands over the top of your head (keeps the frizzies on top down). I generally do this after I blow dry my hair and its worked wonders. Also, there are anti-static brushes for your hair that you can use, but I've never had to use them once I started putting argan oil in my hair.

I did try the argan oil that comes in a gel-like consistency and it made my hair super sticky and gross. Hated it. Love these sprays - I've also tried other oils in this weightless/dry line from Organix and I love them all.

I really do believe that artificial hormones really f with our systems (joys of being a woman). I have a friend who had to go back on birth control because, like you, going off made her skin freak out, and I got a hormonal IUD a year ago and have only just gotten my hormonal breakouts mostly under control.

I was suffering from cystic breakouts on my face and back (ow!!). My saving grace was sulfur soap - it made everything vanish within weeks. I don't get those painful cysts anymore!! It's super cheap, and the bar lasts for a while. I use it in the shower every day. It does smell but I find it doesn't linger after drying off (and the results are worth it regardless). I first learned about it from some obscure comment after hours of digging on r/SkincareAddiction and I wish it was more well-known because it really changed my skin.

Ayyy! Bump it for skin care professionals <3

I don't actually have a rosehip brand im loyal to yet. I was using Essentially Kate but i couldn't use it fast enough and it was spoiling on me. This is what I've got now and i like it much better. It seems smoother.

I just got this & I’m pleased with it so far. I’m a super stinky human, and have tried at least 6 others with no real joy. Weleda spray on rose is pretty rad too but I want to say it’s close to $20. I also spray myself with salt water as soon as i get out of the shower.

NEW! Honestly pHresh Magnesium Roll-On - Tropical Nectar https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01G6LWLQM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_w8rVCbCM9XG4K

My favorite, use post-shower:
Hempz body butter

Also just bought a high end humidifier because it's so dry where I live. Helps a lot!! And drink water. Often.
My body wash is super mild too, Alba lavender body wash.

Check out SheaMoisture . They’re certified organic & fair trade, cruelty free, sustainably produced, and the list goes on... They have a ton of different products and are affordable. I have at least 10 of them in my bathroom right now (and all are amazing)!

For shampoo, I use a combo of their baobab low porosity shampoo (scalp) and coconut+hibiscus curly shampoo (all over). I have naturally curly hair and have tried countless high and low end products over the years. No others have worked as well on my hair.

You might want to check out their two porosity lines (high and low). That could make a huge difference in the weight you’re experiencing with your current products. More info about porosity here.

A recent discovery that has made a huge difference for me - replacing conditioner with straight jojoba oil. No weight and my hair lasts longer between washes. I’m currently using some by Leven Rose that i got on amazon . Bonus: they have a lot of coupons and offers available as well.

Hope at least some of this helps!

Dr. Ohirra's Probiotic Soap. If you're prone to acne, this is the best product I've found, bar none. Taking probiotics internally (especially by the same manufacturer of this product) is a HUGE help.

Second these great suggestions.

I also use 'Aunt Flo Pain Relax' which has all natural herbs to dull PMS and cramps, is vegetarian and definitely boosts my energy:

I found it and bought it at Whole Foods in the supplements section.

Thank you for this!

I would like to add Burt's Bees Spray Deodorant. I've been using this for a few years and really enjoy it. It does sting a little if applied right after shaving though.

One other thing, are there any solid deodorants that are baking-soda free other than the MoM? I found a recipe, but have yet to try it and would like to know if anyone has tried this or what their thoughts on it are?

To answer your question about tea tree/lemon/lavender they are those oils like peppermint that should be diluted if skin is sensitive. The others should be fine, of course, but if you are sensitive to them, dilute. As for ratios, I highly suggest the following book: http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Book-Essential-Oils-Aromatherapy/dp/0931432820 . Valerie Ann Worwood is a heck of an expert. Additionally it's a great reference book in general.

I love Herbal Armor. I actually found it at Target last summer. It worked really well for me. I had one friend who's skin wasn't a fan and he was all itchy but.. that can happen with any skin product.

I've been using this for the past few months, and it's worked great for me. I can get two applications from one bag, and it's way cheaper and easier to use than the stuff from Lush.

Ok, so, you definitely need a toner a products that will penetrate to the dermis. A basic regimen is cleanse, tone, moisturize every morning and every night.

Cleanser, Toner, Moisturizer (daytime), Moisturizer (nighttime),

For your wrinkles to stay throughout the day, even as fine lines, you need to be using peptide formulas (nighttime moisturizer) and be better about recognizing when your skin is dehydrated. Also, it would benefit you to buy a series of microderms (really inexpensive on groupon), Series of at least 4, one week apart. After the series, I would do them as needed. The breakouts and pinkness will subside from the regimen alone. The pores will get smaller, too, but pore size and wrinkle reduction takes more time than the breakouts and pinkness. You should start seeing a difference in the wrinkles and pores after a month (especially alongside microderms), and they will continue to go down with time. The microderms will refresh everything, and they'll help combat the fine lines.

If you're still pink after a 2 weeks of using toner, you'll need a serum to control that area Serum

Tea tree oil is a potential. I'm using this shampoo currently, it has helped my scalp. I have very sensitive skin and am prone to dandruff. It's not cheap, but I have been happy with it.
