Sounds like what folks wear on St.Barts. Not judging, in fact I have been tempted by Vilebreqin swim trunks when I see them on sale. Although it’s certainly not a trad location, NYE yacht party hopping in Gustavia harbor was a pretty epic experience when I was a high school lad. I got my first pair of “real” sunglasses there in fact, looked similar to this

Got it for a great price, bought in a long even though I'm a regular, and length is perfect for what I want. Only the sleeves a bit on the longer side

Chance he would like a money clip? I have a small metal one like this that I put a couple dollars in and my credit card, debit, and license. Probably not a good option if he doesn't ever carry cash though.

Looking to get a watch with some Christmas money, but am pretty overwhelmed by all the choices. Probably leaning towards a silver-band with a black face, in the <$200 (could stretch a little) price range. Currently looking at:

honestly a great bag for that price. Mine has shown no signs of wear since I've bought it in September (I think)

Can I get some thoughts on this pair of Sebago Vershire Penny Loafers?

I already have a pair of gold cups, but I love the look of beefrolls, and I want something that can be worn into the fall/winter.

Is the lug sole too casual? It's the main appeal for me over a pair of weejuns, but I'm worried about committing some sort of mullet-analogy faux pas.

Hello! I assume you are looking to read Plato, unfortunately Socrates left us no written material himself. Stanford University maintains a brilliant and well documented encyclopedia of Philosophy where you can read about both the historical Socrates and the Socrates as presented in Plato's dialogues. If you'd prefer something written the most popular translation is John Coopers Plato the Complete Works.

Herschel makes good bags. I own one of their bookbags and it's held up really well. For a gym bag, the first thing I'd look into is wash-ability. If you're in it for a namebrand, or it's going to be a style piece in addition to a utilitarian bag, I get it. If you want something you can wash, bang up, get wet, etc - just go for something cheap that doesn't look so-cheap
