That is really awesome progress. Love how neat the desk area is, plus of course all the garbage cleared out.

Two relatively cheap suggestions for the next step:

  1. Decluttering paper can be hard because it's hard to know what to get rid of, especially if you're in school or at a job with a lot of potential reference material. This $11 file organizer is lightweight and easy to label, so you'll be able to find a home for a lot of different kinds of stuff in there

  2. Decluttering "stuff" is also hard because not everything has its own space and you want to be able to see things easily, so just putting it all into a single box doesn't really help. I've used this kind of boxes-on-wheeled-cart organizer ($27) as a way to at least find a general grouping of "stuff," and the boxes are shallow and clear enough that it doesn't take much effort to look through everything when I need to find a specific item. Plus the wheels make the home of the cart itself flexible, too!

    Just some ideas. Good luck!

360 wired and still works like a champ. Play it with Clone Hero sometimes. That's wild that ol' hunk of plastic is worth money.

I just looked it up on Amazon. Wtf?!

Fuck me, next time people take the piss out of Jordan Peter's 12 Rules for Life as being elementary or obvious; just remember this post.

Not having a go OP - we've all been there. But self care is very important for your overall well-being.

I tell you what is a big help once you've actually got this shit tidied.

Every day, just have "Five Minute Tidy Up Time" - just a little reminder on your phone (I like an app called Habits to help keep track).

Tell yourself you'll just do 5 minutes a day - even choose a song you play, and just tidy up while that is on.

When it's done, you can return to whatever important business you were doing.

Presumably this has been like this for weeks or forever - so slowly doing a little bit each day over the next week or to may seem weak to some, but it will get done, and actually get that habit started.

And make sure you have a storage space for everything.

A couple of those plastic boxes with lids are always useful, especially for that fucking foam shite. (I see you have one already, get more).

Get a proper rubbish bin.

Get a proper clothes basket.

You have empty shelves and books on the floor.

That can be your starting point.

Take the rubbish out.

Order them things off Amazon NOW. Fucking, don't tell yourself you'll get them cheaper next time you go tot he shops, just do it now.

Reformed ladynester here: the key to keeping clothespolisions curbed is multiple laundry baskets. One for semi-dirty "eh, I could wear this again" items, one for dirty laundry, and one for clean clothes (so you aren't putting restaurant grimy clothes in a basket, washing the load, then returning the clean stuff into the same basket.) I will also suggest getting a cat litter mat. This is the one I used before my kitty passed away. It isn't perfect but it curbs the amount of litter getting tracked around. As for cutting weed and cat box smells- grab a couple of boxes of baking soda. Put baking soda in the cat box (good couple of shakes at the bottom of the pan) and leave the baking soda boxes open. It'll help absorb the smells. (Source- former stoner, cat lover, fragrance fanatic.)

I mentioned this in another post, but I highly recommend getting this book. Really makes you rethink what you should toss and what you should keep. It is a positive way to look at all the "stuff" you have in your life.

I have had great success with this on my pet stains.

I used to drink several liters of diet coke every day as well, so I get where you're coming from. You should check your blood pressure though because if you drink that much, it will always be insanely high. It started giving me problems, headaches all the time, low energy, etc.

I still drink a ton of soda, but I switched to Stevia based soda instead. This shit, and this shit is the bomb! More expensive, but you can drink it all you want guilt-free.

In that case i am 90% sure its this [one. Its only $88 but that is just the frame no mattress.]

Edit: If you just want a bedframe where you dont need a box spring and like the metal look i suggest the Zinus platforms from Amazon. It is less than a $100 for a queen size and its high enough you can easily store stuff under it. And if you ever decide you dont like the look a $20 bed skirt will hide the frame and make your bed look nice.

Nice deal on sheets popped up today. Only grey but a good brand of cotton, more crisp than soft. Soft sheets you want microfiber or flannel.

Hey OP congrats on taking steps towards a healthier lifestyle. It can be really difficult to get out of a rut and depression eats you alive.. so I’m really proud of you and cleaning your room really does help with mental. Do you have a thing for anime and manga? There’s a manga I read that’s an adaptation of Marie Kondo’s Art of Tidying Up. The title isn’t just for tidying up your living space but also your mind.. personally I haven’t read the book yet but the manga really really changed my life. I highly recommend it https://www.amazon.com/Life-Changing-Manga-Tidying-Up-Magical/dp/0399580530

Bed in a box from Amazon. This is a full size for $250, I've had the queen size for just over 4 years and it's still going strong

I got mine at the Container Store over four years ago. I found a very similar one on Amazon and it looks good!

u/JinpingWinniethePooh · 2 pointsr/NeckbeardNests

I have this one well, not exactly, but same size and features with induction. It claims 12 hours guaranteed. I don't see temperature in degrees for the function, but I'm going to see if I can test it with a thermometer and post back.
