I have a few of these.
https://www.amazon.com/Electop-Chassis-Cooling-Molex-Controller/dp/B071KNT7FW/

Love them. Connects all fans to one fan port on the motherboard for speed control.
The only disadvantage is that all fans (connected to this device) will have the same speed.

> Antminer L3+

also - I did some calculations with nicehash and this price https://www.amazon.com/AntMiner-L3-504MH-Litecoin-Scrypt/dp/B06Y6KTH7P - and found the antminer to return its cost in 5 months - definedly something to save up for!

I use outlet meter like this
https://www.amazon.com/TS-836A-Energy-Voltage-Electricity-Monitor/dp/B00E945SJG

that is most precise way to measure power, software solutions are not reliable

The risers are these ones:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076KLJR2Y/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And I don't see why they wouldn't be compatible with my MSI 370A-Pro board...This board can support 6 risers according to MSI

Well a typical USB 2.0 port is specified to deliver 5W, so lets assume its a fancy keyboard with RGB and its using all 5watts. In 1 year it would consume 4.38kwhs, that times the US average of 12 cents per kwh gives us $0.52/year, or $0.00144/day

If you really want to know you could find out with one of these

Something like this can connect to your wireless network and provide access then via the single Ethernet port. Connect that single port to a switch and voila.

Tent I used was this one. 48x24x72 in size.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00WM9KASY?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_yo_pop_mb_pd_t2&th=1

Fan I am using is this one

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001JKYTLG

Rest of the duct work was odds and ends from Lowes. Those parts will vary based on the install. Total cost to get the tent setup for me was in the $300-400 range.

I personally think 6 pin risers are the way to go - here is what I use:
MintCell 6-Pack PCIe 6-Pin 16x to 1x Powered Riser Adapter Card w/ 60cm USB 3.0 Extension Cable & 6-Pin PCI-E to SATA Power Cable - GPU Riser Adapter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06ZY2R85P?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

You do NOT use the sata cable that comes with it- just plug into the 6 pin directly from psu (vga port on psu)

Yep, big pcie slots work just the same as the little ones

u/man_of_mr_e · 4 pointsr/NiceHash

Actually, there is such a thing as a 1x to 3x switcher. not sure if you can run all 3 at one time or not, but technically 2 pcie slots can be used with 6 cards ;)

The best way to deal with heat in my experience is to get it out of your house. To that end, I bought a 6" inline blower fan and some insulated 6" duct tubing. I placed the blower fan next to my PC, and it immediately sucks the hot air out of the case and shoves it out of my house.

I hooked up the tubing to an extra outlet vent I had in the house (which was an old furnace vent no longer in use). But you could also hook it up to your dryer vent or you could cut a new hole in your exterior walls, if you're serious about this business. Or you could just run it out your window?
