I mean, honestly, I would like something like this that allows you to hotswap the layout of all 4 components.
In the current gen, I think the PS4 controller is the most comfortable and has the best buttons, but the XB1 has the best control sticks and the most practical layout, but I love the WiiU pro for classic games because using the DPad and the buttons makes it feel like a SNES controller.
>but then wouldn't you need a separate power source to keep it all from draining your phone too quickly?
True. Nintendo could turn this into a selling point though: portable chargers (here's an example) are gaining popularity these days. The NX could double as such a device, especially if it has a large battery. Is your phone running low on juice? No problem! Plug it into the NX's USB port and charge it while at the same time playing your favorite Nintendo games!
>Why build so much hype and base the future of your company around something you can do for $30 and an emulator right now? There's already a Gamecube emulator working on Android phones today. Yes it runs slow as hell right now, but phones and tablets are getting more powerful every day.
Also true. Perhaps Nintendo doesn't care about the emulation crowd, or they believe they can sway them with NX due to competitive pricing, convenience, or a combination of both. Steam won over many would-be pirates on PC, so maybe Nintendo seeks to do something similar in the mobile space - provide an official way to play Nintendo games on your phone (and with physical buttons!).
what was said about being interpreted literally, but for the shape as well.
What I think a more realistic version of this would look like is a cell phone, in the shape of a classic controller pro, with 2 thumb pads similar to the 3ds's. I personally think it's an awesome idea.
Add these together then put the zelda pic on it.:

this tech actually exists - versions of it that work well cost a couple hundred, but I've set them up for clients a couple times.
I've used and been pleased with the aries brand:

So not only does nintendo have the tech it used for the wii u to draw from, but a lot of other new research and production with widi, other wireless HDMI implementations, etc.
Additionally, taking the "wii u" half of the wireless display into a dongle and swapping in the wireless display hardware into the console itself makes a lot of sense, and should function well. Just have to hope they can nail near-zero latency, or they offer us a cabled option when latency matters... for smash bros with your bros.
the original PSP could also be played on the TV, just need a cable for it.
If I'm not mistaken, that's a real product. It's called Gamevice or sth.
This one's not white tho
usually, UK is cheaper than Germany/Austria. compare those packages.

Personally I wouldn't use anything other than this.
I don't think SD cards are too small.
I think the people who would need more than 500GB are in the minority, and that most people would be fine with that much. The PS4 and X1 both have 500GB HDDs and you don't see very many people complain that it's not enough and get a bigger one.
Wait, what? Where did you hear that? Because Nintendo and Amazon had some issues in the past?
Other than that I can't think of a single reason. Here's "proof" that you can indeed pre order consoles that are not out yet:
https://www.amazon.com/Sony-PlayStation-4-Pro-1TB/dp/B01LOP8EZC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1474697100&sr=8-1&keywords=ps4+pro
And on Amazon you actually get the damn console compared to gamestop where they can just say: "Ooops, we sold out."
I think you're confused. PSTV is a small box. It's not handheld system at all. https://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-TV-vita/dp/B00KVMHSUM
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Super-Smash-Bros-Controller-Nintendo/dp/B00ZUNOX9G
They were on Nintendo's Official Store, but randomly disappeared.
Just a PDP Fighting Pad variation.
There is no need for disk based media. Blu-Ray disks for PS4 hold about 50GB if dual layered. 32GB memory sticks can be purchased in bulk quantities for incredibly cheap. Amazon.com sells this 32GB memory card for $6.75. Meaning that the cost to make it is probably less than $1.25. Considering that the NX will be somewhere in between PS3/Xbox360 and PS4/Xbone in power, 32GB should hold all the graphical information just fine. And if needed for exceptionally large games, 64GB cards can be had for not much more. So there is no need for disks at all.
