There are quite a few screen protectors that work, very cheap too. If anyone wants a screen protector that does not cause this fault for under a tenner, I have this one:

I also had the Wonanse one which also did not cause the phone to unlock with any fingerprint other than authorised ones.

I'm in the UK, but I assume there are plenty of options elsewhere too.

As the other guy pointed out the handle just folds in on this one. But they do have collapsible silicone bowls with a metal bottom. X-Bowl
