What do you think about two of these with an EVGA 550 GS power supply? Are these things plug and play, as I know that if you try something like Corsair sleeved cables on an EVGA PSU it can break some parts, and vice versa etc. Are extensions safe to use?

EDIT: Just read up on it now, apparently it's compatible with all PSUs. Just a little cautious just in case lol.

From what I've gathered I think I may need this adapter here http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EDT0072?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_1&smid=A1AMUYYA3CT6HJ but I am not sure so I'm hoping someone who knows for sure can help. :P

Just get one of the 6 to 8 pin adapters the 2 extra lines are returns, any recent & decent power supply will handle that over its wires. The 2 x 6 pin to 8 pin adapters are on ebay though if you want to play it safe.

I had forgotten I ordered this adapter, and I received it today. It worked perfectly, my monitor is now picked up and I have 3 monitors working together.
I had an HDMI to Displayport adapter already that I bought a few days ago from my local computer supply store, but it didn't seem to work.
The one in my Amazon link did, however.

I think it's this one

So I can't use an adapter for 6/8 pin? and I have to buy a whole new PSU?

Yes it should, that's what I have. Though if it's a cheap 600W then it can gives you some issues. I have this one right now https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-Bronze-100-B1-0600-KR-Power-Supply/dp/B00EON40CS

I had bad experience with a TV, so for now on I will always stick with PC monitors, way more better. If the resolution is not the same then you will see blackness. For example I tried two TV's they were 720p, if my resolution in Windows wasn't 1366 x 768 then I couldn't see anything no matter what I tried. If your game your are playing isn't the same resolution either, it will be black too.

It's still worth a shot, it could be a driver issue, maybe there's a malware or errors in Windows that makes your driver crash.

To me I would say it's your TV that cause those issues, if it was the power supply's fault you would have seen weird colors on your screen and maybe artifacts.

About the error Dwm.exe, it doesn't seem safe http://www.errorboss.com/exe-files/dwm-exe/
