I've tried out many of the cheaper, more affordable Bounty Hunter models, and have had the best luck with with the Tracker IV. You can get one on Amazon for $80, or Walmart for $89. I've actually had really good luck on Ebay, where I've purchased all mine in the past, with the exception of a few craigslist buys. I've won Tracker IV auctions for between $30-$50, and they all worked great. Some even came with headphones. The highest retail price I've ever seen them priced at is $150, but there's no reason you should ever have to pay that. As a beginner, I personally think this is an awesome metal detector. It's easy to use and is a great way to enter the hobby. It also teaches you how to search for specific things. For example, you might need to turn the sensitivity way down to avoid getting false positives from ground minerals or junk (can tabs). I've been detecting for years now, and still use mine on a regular basis.

My dad's a fan of the show so we got him this book for xmas and he really enjoys it. It's from the pre-Lugina days but it's an exhaustive summary of all known activity on the island back to the 1700's, and a thorough review of all the theories that actually adds some weight to them. Makes a great supplement to the fractured logic of the show lol

I can't figure out how to post a picture (?). But here is the link to where I got it.

Here is a link to the videos for the 4 part "Sweet Swan of Avon" documentary, where Petter Amundsen details his theories. They are in Norwegian with English subtitles. I believe this is the series that appeared on tv, before the full length documentary was made.

I have not found a video link for "Shakespearre: The Hidden Truth" yet, but will post here if I do.

He does have an ebook on Amazon. "Oak Island & the Treasure Map in Shakespeare by Petter Amundsen".

As a Canadian I have known about the mystery of oak island for many many years, I learned about it as a child. I have read several books on Oak Island, with different theories. I am following the series "The Curse of Oak Island" on the history channel. I would love to see the mystery solved, which is why I tune in every week. The show is repetitive, and geared to keep the reader in suspense. It is made for TV and thus it sensationalizes every find or new piece of info. But I don't really care, I want to see the mystery solved!

Featured on Season I episode 4 of COOI. This is a 2009 show. The show was updated in 2016 here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOXZS3mR1Ek

After appearing on COOI, he wrote a free ebook in 2017 on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Oak-Island-Treasure-Map-Shakespeare-ebook/dp/B007TUGKCQ?keywords=Oak+Island+and+the+Treasure+Map+in+Shakespeare&qid=1540673446&sr=8-1-fkmrnull&ref=sr_1_fkmrnull_1. I don't have the time to read it. Maybe someone else can. However, I would be more interested if the Amundsen hadn't moved on to writing fad diet books.

You might be interested in the book I just published last month which uncovers new proof of what actually happened on Oak Island https://www.amazon.com/Pour-Angélique-Proving-Story-Island/dp/0578403463

The eBook is on sale, Amazon is doing a $5 off promotion which the above book and mine qualify for if you spend $20, and I'm also giving away free copies on goodreads (see www.stirhaven.com).

I love the fact that for the amount of money that Marty supposedly has, he wears a $30 Timex Weekender watch. It actually says a lot about his character - he's not in it for the money, he's in it cause he cares so deeply for his brother. Check out the watch here:

If you are interested in this further, there is a great book that goes into the Hermetic study of the building of the Notre-Dame in Paris (as well as other Gothic cathedrals). It's called Fulcanelli: Master Alchemist: Le Mystere des Cathedrales. Here is sample page from the book. It does not go into scared geometry like your post, but it does decipher a lot of the artwork and stone carvings.

Sorry, I meant America Unearthed.

http://www.jasoncolavito.com/blog/review-of-america-unearthed-s01e01

https://www.amazon.com/Unearthing-Truth-Unauthorized-Commentary-Unearthed/dp/1489548238

JasonColavito.com reviewed each and every episode. I agree with the other post that Wolters is no more reliable (or fake) than COOI or especially Ancient Aliens. They are all just TV shows. It’s just that Wolters tends to spout more “facts” that aren’t true at all than COOI - who just put them in a “could it be?” -like question.

People like you are so strange. Here is what you said: “ No British military, just British militia.”

There is strong evidence that the British military built the flood tunnels on OI. A book was published about it years ago, although I think it’s out of print now. book

There is an entire book on this subject of tar production,

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00Y3BGVDM/ref=dp-kindle-redirect?_encoding=UTF8&btkr=1.

It was an interesting, although not academic, read.

A fascinating book to read on Templar history is: "Dungeon, Fire and Sword: The Knights Templar In The Crusades" by John J. Robinson, 512p, 2009
