Features:

It'll run it but the screen quality in this laptop is very bad. The picture is washed out and it isn't good at producing dark colors. The difference between a good display and a not-so-good one is easily one of the most noticeable things, and you can certainly do better.
For gaming in particular a poor quality display can be considered to defeat some of the purpose of buying a gaming laptop: to make games look better. For gaming, I would make your priorities: Good GPU + Good Display. You will notice those the most. CPU will matter less since both the i5 quad and i7 quad are plenty for most games when paired with a GTX 1050 or Ti, RAM is easily upgradable, and SSD is easily upgradable.

One of the best values right now is the $899 Eluktronics N850HK1. It has:
Eluktronics may be less well-known than Dell, but it's one of a number of resellers who buy Clevo laptops in bulk, configure them, and sell them. Perhaps a more well-known reseller is Sager, but Sager's version of this laptop costs $100 more.
EDIT: Model I linked is the $899 1080p+1TB model which is currently sold out. Currently redirects to the $999 4K model, which uses a PenTile not-true-4K display. I would recommend waiting until the $899 1080p+1TB model comes back in stock. There's also a $999 1080p+SSD model.

> Is 800 dpi and 7 ingame sensitivity a good choice or should i lower it?
That's almost double the sense I have. Its worth noting that I'm playing on a huge ass mousepad (Steelseries Qck+) with a Razer Deathadder Chroma, so my mousemovements are pretty solid.
You might wanna look into finetuning your settings and lowering your sensitivity, also you can practice aiming / tracing aim quite effectively inside Overwatch, on the practice course. 20-30 minutes a day of tracing/snapping aim practice will help your aim a lot more then playing 10-20-30 hours more... since you just keep going trough the motions, but repeating stuff will never improve your aim (I've got 1800 hours of CSGO, I'm pretty sure about 4-500 is just raw aimpractice.)
This is a very in depth drill guide for Tracer, where the guy goes over mouse settings and etc. trough actual, demonstrated drills you can do to improve your aim.
I would highly recommend watching + trying it out. If you can aim well with Tracer, you will surely get better at in in general, because you have to improve a lot at both tracing a moving target, and flicks in general. It improves both parts you need to work on to get a better aim.
What price range are we talking?
If you have some money to spare, I would recommend Razer gear. It's some of the best out there.
The Razer DeathAdder costs 50$ and is probably the world's most popular gaming mouse.
The Razer BlackWidow costs 70$ and has mechanical keys. I love this because you have a noticable "click" when pressing in the keys which makes more very dynamic and precise gameplay.
In addition to this, you need a mousepad. It doesn't have to be a good/expensive brand, but make sure it's LARGE. It recently bought a huge mousepad and it is sooo nice being able to play without being scared to roll over the edge. Lower DPS improves your aim, so you may have to move around your mouse a lot from time to time. This is a gamechanger.
If you don't have 120$+ to spare on equipment, just go on Amazon and search for "gaming mouse / gaming keyboard". Most results will be very affordable and still cheap.
For example, I am currently using this gaming mouse for only 14$. It's perfectly fine in my opinion and quite nice.
Just an FYI this is what is on Amazon's site right now

>Release date announcement: "Overwatch" will now be released one day early, on May 23rd, 2016. Servers go live on May 24th, 2016. Product availability is subject to change and limited to stock on hand. Date and time playable subject to change.
> Screenshot
I am speaking with a rep now to see if that means anything about shipment, however unlikely.
It does appear that they seem to think (from their Blizzard contact I am guessing) that the servers will still go live on May 24th meaning only training would be opened in the game?
"Going live May 24th" is still ambiguous given times zones...so we will see.
Conversation with Amazon Rep:
Me: Now that it appears this game is releasing a day early is Amazon at least going to attempt to have it delivered on the 23rd vs the 24th?
I see this note on the amazon order page now:
Release date announcement: "Overwatch" will now be released one day early, on May 23rd, 2016. Servers go live on May 24th, 2016. Product availability is subject to change and limited to stock on hand. Date and time playable subject to change.
However it is unclear if Amazon is going to ship it earlier so it can be delivered on the newly scheduled release day.
Just wondering and thanks

Amazon Rep: Hello, my name is
removed. I'm here to help you today. Please allow me to review your concern.
Me: no problems take your time
Amazon Rep: I have checked on the item and see the release date is still by May 24, 2016 may I ask where are you seeing it with a updated release date?
Me: There is a "release data announcement" on your front end site
Please see the link I offered above
Amazon Rep: Please let me check.
Me: Ok thank you
Amazon Rep: Oh I see yes I can see it, checking on your order I can see here that your order is till under a delivery date of May 24, 2016.
But since the order is eligible for a release date delivery you can still expect it to update but I'm not guaranteeing it Sir.
Me: Ok that is good enough information Amazon Rep thank you.
~~
As you can see in the screenshot above Amazon already changed the date to May 23rd. PS4 too. As of 9:10am EDT the Xbox One pre order page still says May 24th. I expect that to change whenever Amazon is allowed to do so.
Same here, I climbed most of the ladder with Zarya.
I came across this the other day: https://www.amazon.com/Art-Overwatch-Blizzard/dp/1506703674
I don't know if you celebrate christmas but if you do and you're looking for a nice easy present. The above I think any big OW fan would love.
Good on you for taking an interest in your son's hobbies!
TL;DR - Buy this card, put in computer, play game.
Thanks to the link to the Amazon seller page provided by /u/probartlett155, we now know the following:
According to the seller, this motherboard does in fact have an open PCI-E x16 slot available. This makes things a bit easier. A discrete GPU is available, though with the current configuration, not a top-of-the-line one. I like the suggestion from /u/PapayaPies to get a GTX 1060; alas, that is not possible currently due to the underwhelming power supply.
Cheapest, easiest solution: EVGA GTX 1050 Ti SC from Amazon for $140.49USD (plus S&H).
While there are two cheaper options, I'd recommend the EVGA variant as my history with them has been rocksteady reliability (I still have a system built pre-i3/i5/i7 that runs on an EVGA motherboard and video card). I consider this option the cheapest and easiest as all that is required is the following:
While we could go with other options; they're more expensive and require a new power supply at the very least – adding not only $50 to $80 to the total cost after the video card; but time spent rewiring power connections, as well.
It is important to note that this particular video card is bus-powered only; and does NOT need an additioal power cable running to it to perform its function.
With this configuration, a reliable gaming experience in Overwatch and other games can be readily achieved with minimal downtime and risk to the components. I'm sure this is not the way some Redditors would do things; but again I remind you, we're trying to get him playing Overwatch as quickly and as cheaply as possible.
Comments
Whomever these sellers are that are selling “gaming computers” with just an APU and not a discrete GPU need to be punched in the babymaker. While I understand they're a business and trying to make money; they're flat-out lying about the capabilities of these machines. They're nothing more than office workstations with a fancy chassis. I'm sorry, /u/probartlett155, but I feel like you got scammed. :(
Windows 10. It is also worthy to note that for some damn stupid reason Microsoft includes as part of its OS something called “Xbox Game DVR”. This comes ENABLED by default; and without an account with Xbox Live, requires you to edit the registry to disable. Why disable it? It is poorly coded and causes a significant drop in performance. In your situation, we need every drop we can get. Steam has a howto on disabling it via registry; but I'd wait to muck about in there until after the GPU has been installed and performance can be assessed (yes, I'm looking for trouble here, I know, I'm sorry).
Recommendations
If you find the above solution acceptable; then I would recommend going ahead and buying the video card and getting things going. I would NOT recommend spending any more money on this particular rig, though. Mosey on over to /r/buildapc and poke around a bit; start saving money for a newer gaming rig that you can call your own.
Final Thoughts
Sorry for your troubles, man. Hope you can get into some Overwatch, I personally love the game. Also, without further adieu – welcome to the PC Master Race (#PCMR, /r/pcmasterrace).
May your framerates be high and your temperatures low.
Happy fragging!
going to need a price range before I can give any real recommendations. the basics are simple though...
yeah you won't be playing at maxxed out settings or even high-ultra but you'll be playing a very acceptable looking game at a nice framerate.
---
now the other option, which I highly recommend looking into, is building a custom rig for $500-$700 and just grabbing a chromebook to take to class. This is assuming you have a budget around $800-$1000 total but will definitely get you the most bang for your buck. Especially if you are going into a CS degree where you will be doing any kind of programming since you can install a light copy of Linux onto the chromebooks for all your IDEs and actual assignments since Linux and basic IDE's require next to no horsepower to run. If your parents are coughing up the cash for you and would be willing to spend ~$800 on a laptop but think it is out of the question to spend that on 2 systems, just try to explain to them that by doing so you
A) keep your expensive system safe in an enclosed room where nothing could really happen to it like drops/spills/theft/accidental damage/etc and at worst only the cheap chromebook takes the brunt of those things.
B) Doing so ensures you have a system that can easily perform respectively all the way through your education at uni unlike a lot of systems out there which will be slow/chugging along in only 2-3 years without proper maintenance (if they have PCs ask them how well their laptop from 201X runs compared to the day they bought it). Desktops tend to hold up longer in terms of performance than laptops and are much cheaper to maintain/fix if something does go wrong.
---
quick edit: something like this Dell may actually not be half bad for your situation
https://www.amazon.com/Dell-15-6-Inch-Quad-Core-i5-6300HQ-Processor/dp/B015PYYDMQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1465753364&sr=1-1&keywords=gtx+960m
It definitely would, although you should look to find it for less depending on where you live, as I see it on Amazon for $250. The 1440p Asus I ordered was $300 also, but I don't know if I'll like it yet, and it would possibly force me to upgrade my GPU, as a few of my games wouldn't be able to hit 60fps without lowering settings with my GTX 970. (Witcher 3 and The Division for example, although Overwatch would be able to hit 60fps at 1440p with a 970 pretty easy)
One of my friends actually got the Asus VG248QE at the same time I got my AOC, and they both actually have the same panel, so I can say that it looks really good as I've been basically been using the AOC version of that monitor for over a year now.
The main difference between the Asus you're looking at and the AOC I have is mine came with the G-Sync module installed and cost $200 more at the time (although I've seen it on sale for $350 new or having been sold for under $300 on eBay recently), while the Asus is capable of having the module installed but they no longer sell it (the module) unfortunately.
But yeah, as far as 144hz TN panels go, the Asus VG248QE is very good, especially considering it's 24", as I prefer 24" to 25", so the pixel density stays tighter. That's why I'm iffy on moving on to a 27" monitor, too big for me, which limits my options by a lot.
Because your in Indonesia this advice might not apply too you, but I'll share it just in case.
If you have amazon prime you can get Overwatch Origin for $47.99. So it's only $8 more than if the basic version. For $8 you can't beat all the extras.
Amazon Prime: Overwatch Origin
If you can't do that. I don't think paying $20 more, for in your case, just one skin would be worth it to get Origin. So just go with basic.
Normally I wait for a price drop on games, but this is the first game in a long time I just went ahead and bought it. It takes a really long time before you see price drops on Blizzard stuff. And the amount of fun I think I'll get from this game is well worth the cost.
Hope that helps!
This one can handle it pretty well: https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspire-Gaming-GeForce-VX5-591G-75RM/dp/B01N12YZ7B/ref=lp_8588812011_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1500309381&sr=1-3
It has a good processor and gpu, it's good since overwatch is a processor heavy game. It also has 16 GB of ram which is good for ex. editing. It comes at a price of 1000$, but I think it's a fair price considering how good it it. Also it has an SSD for a fast boot.
Hope I helped!
Edit: If you want more than 256 GB storage you need to by a second hard drive and the kit for it, more information in the amazon page.
You could try to buy a copy from here. Unfortunately, it's not a digital copy, but it's on sale there for $37.01 USD. Additionally, I'm not sure if Overwatch is region free, but the American Amazon has it on sale here.
I'd keep an eye out here too. There's a possibility that it'll go on sale for much cheaper than $79.99 CAD.
Beyond that, you could always file a ticket to Blizzard to ask them of this. They're really friendly and are super helpful. :D
I will tell you how I do it. I am likely in the minority though. My left hand controls wasd and jump and a few emotes. I have a gaming mouse that I use for push to talk, reload, ability 1, ability 2 and ultimate. I use a Logitech mouse that is now unavailable but if I were buying a new one I would get
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019OB663A/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I37CKR4WOT3RB1&colid=2SCF7FGFGR21R&psc=0
My thumb controls Ability 1(bottom side button), 2(top side button) and push to talk(back top button). My index is ultimate(front button on the side of left click) and reload(tilt scroll to the right).
One way of thinking about sensitivity and dpi is to just multiply them together. So a 3 sens at 800 dpi is about the same as 6 sense at 400 dpi. The smaller the number the less the screen moves compared to how much the mouse moves. If you google you can find a converter that will give you combinations and how many inches a particular combination takes to do a 360. In the end you will need to experiment on your own and see what works for you. I would either slowly work your way down from the default or set your sense really low and then work your way up.
Do this on the practice range and find something that is comfortable. Then play a few matches. Then go back and adjust a little if needed. It might take you awhile. But it helps a lots.
Well, there is no 40$ physical version available. 40$ version is only available digitally. So if you want, you can buy the digital version so that he gets the preorder skin. If he really likes the game, he can always upgrade to the Origins Edition version whenever he wants.
If you are interested in buying the 60$ version (Origins Edition), then I definitely recommend Amazon UK Exclusive Edition which is giving away an Overwatch Badge and a Metal Coin with it. It is only 2GBP extra for the Coin and Badge.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Overwatch-Origins-Memory-Exclusive-Amazon-co-uk/dp/B01BGL2W9S?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE
Though depending on the country this person lives in, there are probably easier and cheaper ways to get the physical version.
It's not really hard if you are handy. I followed a you tube build based on the case I used, a cooler master elite 130. People on r/buildapc are very helpful. Another great choice is buying a decent computer and upgrading. There is an i5 acer act 780 refurbished for 370 on newegg.com or brand new for 400 on amazon.com that can take a smaller gtx 1050 ti.
Video on how to do so. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=yXkL5GZgTnU
The evga gtx 1050ti is on sale for 140 on amazon right now as well. https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-GAMING-Support-04G-P4-6253-KR/dp/B01MF7EQJZ/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1492185554&sr=1-1&keywords=1050+ti
This is the PC and it's quite a good deal IMO.
https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Desktop-i5-6400-Windows-ATC-780-AMZi5/dp/B01K1INXJK/ref=as_li_ss_tl?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1481359319&sr=1-5&linkCode=sl1&tag=tecdea0f-20&linkId=5626d92dcf87c228314bc9376299f738
Just make sure to unplug the PC and touch the power supply to ground yourself to the PC before touching any internals.
> better use of the $600
Absolutely.
I assume the reason he doesn't want to build isn't the cost (you can do it with $600 easy, including Windows) but the time expense. That's actually understandable, though perhaps not to college students who haven't learned to value their time.
In that case there's still a much better solution than buying a laptop.
Blizzard games don't have a gift option (they really should offer it, but never have)
Best you can do is buy battle.net gift cards and give those as the gift to the person so they can use them to buy the game on their account.
Gift cards are available from other retailers, like Amazon.com: https://www.amazon.com/Battle-net-Store-Gift-Card-Balance/dp/B012JMS4W2?ie=UTF8&*Version*=1&*entries*=0
Bro these things are amazing. I have this one. Can't go wrong. Just make sure to unplug it and plug it back in every few days to flush the lines. Otherwise its a godsend. Pure sorcery though. Whoever thought of the ability to send internet through powerlines.. sorceror.
Have you considered something like a powerline adapter?
https://www.amazon.com/TP-LINK-Powerline-Adapter-Starter-TL-PA4010KIT/dp/B00AWRUICG/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1478127137&sr=1-3&keywords=powerline+adapter
I play using one of these and it works just great. =)
144hz monitors are awesome. However, they're also pricey, and the improved smoothness might not be worth the $230+ pricetag, unless you're receiving it as a gift.
Here's the order in which you should upgrade, if you want your game to feel smooth and responsive:
The monitor will definitely give you an advantage, and make your overall computing experience smoother and more responsive. But with the pricetag, you might want to consider other upgrade first.
I'd recommend this Used it for a while, Feels great and works great
I've got an Amazon balance I was hoping to burn, but it looks like the base game and digital Battle.Net Gift Cards are all out of stock. I don't really have much experience with Amazon Games / Blizzard, so realistically how long are we talking until they come back in stock?
I don't know much about laptops and which brands are the best (specs matter)
https://www.amazon.com/Dell-Inspiron-i7559-763BLK-Full-HD-GeForce/dp/B015PYYDMQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1446674861&sr=8-1&keywords=960m
A post in a thread about great laptops for gaming recommended this.
lol I think you're thinking about the move motion, i'm using the [move navigation] (https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/G/01/videogames/detail-page/B002I0K6X6.01.lg.jpg). I use an analog stick to move around but I still aim with my mouse. I know this is unconventional but it's really comfortable. and I can press keys on my keyboard while still holding it. That's how I make it look like I'm doing both things at once
You can get a Visa gift card from pretty much any retail store, but depending on the store it can be difficult to buy if you're under 18 (can be used for money laundering, so lots of places ID). It also usually has a ~$3 activation fee. You can also try finding a Battlenet gift card, or even an Amazon gift card, which you can use to get Overwatch origins.
With the laptop bellow wich I owns, I can play on high settings.
Its is a amazing machine, you are not going to get a better price for the specs anywhere.
http://www.amazon.com/Dell-15-6-Inch-Quad-Core-i5-6300HQ-Processor/dp/B015PYYDMQ
Big mousepad helps a lot.
I use the qck+, I play on 1.5 @ 1800 dpi (equivalent to 3.37@800). I rarely have issues. With the big mousepad I can still play a mobile class like genji and not be gimped by my sens.
The regular Blizzard gift cards can also be bought digitally for your friends via Amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/Battle-net-Store-Gift-Card-Balance/dp/B012JMS4W2
You can send the digital codes to your friends as gifts - no need to even buy a piece of paper for it!
Here are links to Amazon for the NORMAL and LIMITED EDITION versions. Also, if you like the comics, here's a link to the Anthology Volume 1.
I figured I'd provide the links after I saw searching that for "Art of Overwatch" turned up some slightly risque images of Overwatch's female heroes. =P
If he is like me he is using the left hand of the move controller, the one with the analog stick on it. I use that + mouse. FInd it much better than KB and mouse. https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/G/01/videogames/detail-page/B002I0K6X6.01.lg.jpg
I'd personally stay away from g-sync and free-sync for high level gaming as I head that using the technology can add some input delay. After reading some of the reviews, it appeared that the monitor was decent. The colors are decent at best, apparently it's very bright, and some people say they get dead pixels within a couple months. Customer support seemed to be lacking, so if something goes wrong, you may be out of luck. I'd personally stay away from tech companies that I'm not too familiar with (AOC vs Asus). I think the standard 144hz monitor that a lot of people use is the Asus VG248QE (https://www.amazon.com/VG248QE-1920x1080-144Hz-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B00B2HH7G0). It costs about $50 more than the one you have but the reviews overall are very positive.
I am very confused. If I purchase through amazon here http://www.amazon.com/dp/B017L187YG is that a physical copy on a disc that will be sent to me? Or just like a code? Because it is 12 dollars cheaper on Amazon and I'd like to save if I can.
Just use a controller in the left hand and a mouse in the right.
Edit : https://www.amazon.com/Playstation-Move-Navigation-Controller/dp/B002I0K6X6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1481780592&sr=8-1&keywords=Playstation+Nav+controller
This is what I use in my left hand, and a Logitech G602 in my right.
Fine movement controller; Precision aiming.
[This] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HTK1NCS/ref=asc_df_B00HTK1NCS5265595/?tag=hyprod-20&creative=395033&creativeASIN=B00HTK1NCS&linkCode=df0&hvadid=198100405651&hvpos=1o2&hvnetw=g&hvrand=16827737033858485731&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9060118&hvtargid=pla-318320084306) is the mouse I use for overwatch. Had it for about 2 years now (I think) 3 sensativity settings weighted bottom 2 side buttons and a scroll wheel. For well under 20$ it probably has some flaws I'm not aware of but I've gotten tons of great usage put of it.
I'd recommend a SteelSeries QcK+. I just got one a couple weeks back, and it's working out great. For only $15, it seems like a no brainer.
Head over to /r/beermoney and make that $60 before the 24th. Many sites pay in Amazon gift cards. You can buy battlenet credit HERE in increments of $20 with your amazon gift card balance.
Much of the stuff you'll find in that sub takes a while to pay, but some sites like instagc.com will pay same day.
Tech tip, try getting a power line adapter for gaming if your PC is not beside your router. Easy to set up, plug and play. Only limitation is if your router outlet is on a different breaker than on your PC which is quite uncommon in a typical home
I'm using [this](https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-Powerline-Adapter-Starter-TL-PA4010KIT/dp/B00AWRUICG/ref=sr_1_4?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1523006269&sr=1-4&keywords=powerline+adapter
) right now and almost as good as straight up ethernet.
I'm a fan of my Logitech G502. I'm only just getting into PC gaming and it's a great mouse.
I'm getting physical release on PC for the sweet sweet physical goodies?
HYPE
Origins edition cheaper than through blizz + coins and stuff
I use the Logitech G502 which probably doesn't look as "professional" as you'd like but it definitely doesn't look like a spacehip. The only issue I have with it is that the button to change the dpi setting is right next to the left click button so you'll probably be changing the dpi constantly. I fixed that by putting only one dpi setting per profile and just change the profile as needed. It is a little pricey but I think it's worth the price.
My first mouse I bought was the Razer Imperator which is probably more of the look you're going for.
I would also suggest not getting a mouse just because it has high dpi, since you'll probably never go up that high anyways.
Hi, I did the same switch so welcome to PC and I hope you have a great time.
I strongly recommend the Logitech G502
paired with a Steelseries Qck+ Mousepad as it's versatile and accurate. I like the extra buttons, I have Shift and E on Mouse 4 and 5, Melee on Sniper button. Very comfortable mouse and highly customize-able.
For Keyboard I use a laptop equipped with Steelseries but If I had to buy one it'd be the SteelSeries 6Gv2 as it's similar to what I use and is very low profile.
I own 2 http://www.amazon.com/Asus-VG248QE-24-inch-Ergonomic-Back-lit/dp/B00B2HH7G0
It's a bit cheaper, but It is amazing, at least to me.
Why is that one so much more expensive?
If you buy from a retailer they can't be used and if they can't be redeemed you can contact blizzard support but if you still don't want to do those amazon would be safest
https://www.amazon.com/Blizzard-Entertainment-Overwatch-Online-Game/dp/B01FUZ1BOS/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1467788649&sr=8-2&keywords=OVerwatch+digital
You should try doing a ps3 move controller with mouse combo. It works really well, the only problem I had with it is that the ps3 control drivers eat your bluetooth so i had to do a system restore after every session. Other than that though it combines the best of both worlds
Thanks for sharing this! I just got the limited edition for $54 down from $100
I know Amazon sells things like These but,
1.) I don't know if they can be used for Microtransactions
2.) I don't know if I can just buy the code for them online without needing to ship the gift card.
If you really want to give love to the art team, might I suggest pre-ordering the following, set for release on Oct. 24:
The Art of Overwatch
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1506703674/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
https://www.amazon.com/Overwatch-Origins-PC/dp/B017L187YG
Edit: alternatively, I'm not entirely sure how xbox works, but if it has anything like a built in store, you should be able to purchase the game straight from blizz or through the xbox store for $60
I'm pretty sure the only version available for consoles is the Origins Edition. Here on Amazon it lists the contents of the Origins Edition. If it says "Origins Edition" on it it should contain all the skins, card backs etc.
It got changed for PC as well! I got my e-mail a couple days ago.
http://www.amazon.com/Overwatch-Origins-PC/dp/B017L187YG/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1463626569&sr=1-1&keywords=overwatch
The page says release date May 23 so it should be good
i use a combination of these headphones and a clip on mic for a headset. the only thing i don't like is that that particular mic is very sensitive and picks up pretty much everything. it's also excessively long, but you can just tie it up.
also, if your PC is like mine and only has one audio jack, you can use a usb sound card to plug in both
QCK+ is great https://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-QcK-Gaming-Mouse-Pad/dp/B000UVRU6G
I've had this mic for a year now. I talk almost nightly on it to friends. They don't complain about how I sound. I clip it on to my headphones.
In general, I recommend this mic and a set of headphones in place of a gaming headset. In general, you'll pay more for a gaming headset than you would for an equivalent mic+headphone.
Edit: I seem to remember having some trouble with this mic getting along with my realtech audio driver. I solved that issue, possibly by using the default windows driver.
Its like £10 off the price here in the UK. Our physical prices on PC are dirt cheap. Also £38 so 3 pound off but still a good saving for a legit copy of the game
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Overwatch-Origins-Memory-Exclusive-Amazon-co-uk/dp/B01BGL2W9S/ref=sr_1_1_twi_cd__1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1464174734&sr=1-1&keywords=overwatch

There is a good price on sale right now. I got me an etekcity mouse worth $80 for $11 and that's what I'm currently using. It is ridiculous how much the price of something is boosted by the word "Gaming"
$700 dell laptop ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015PYYDMQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_cs5nybB2EEAXR ) this is one of the lowest price points for a gaming laptop. But, you can check jet.com for others anything with a 960m or better will be just fine. Also on jet.com there is a special 15% off coupon.
I need help with paying for overwatch
Do anyone know how to get a blizzard account when you’re not in or around any countries that sells blizzard prepaid cards?i don’t have a blizzard account yet so I can’t ask people on the blizzard forum. I haven’t set up on because I heard the blizzard gift cards does not work if you’re outside of the US which means if I buy it online it would be a waste. Does this mean I will have to set my location to the US if I want to buy this blizzard balance card
Amazon link to the blizzard balance I want to buy
So update:
Ping went from all over the place on my hotel-like wifi connection to a stable ~65.
Speeds also *drastically* improved. See before and after.

Very pleased with it.

This is what I ordered - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AWRUICG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1.
Very very simple to set up. A lot of reviews say not to plug into the same outlet that's occupied by whatever, but I've got both of mine plugged into outlets that both have powerstrips for laziness/cable length sake and it's working just fine. Tested it out on outlets not plugged into anything else and there was no difference.
You can also just buy it on Amazon, and then give the code on May 24th.
http://www.amazon.com/Overwatch-Origins-PC/dp/B017L187YG
Which might be more reliable considering their customer support is going to be swamped on launch day.
Amazon UK (Idk about worldwide) has their own special edition: 1
Here german Amazon link for germans! Pretty cheap imo.
The Art of Overwatch Limited Edition https://www.amazon.de/dp/1506705537/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_0Dugzb57P2FTC

Buy a battle.net gift card?
Yes there are. Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop from a few quick searches.
Also, this announcement isn't PC-only, it's all copies of the game.
I tried this a year ago when the game first came out using a playstation move controller. I couldn't get used to it and I hated trying to find rebinds for lots of little stuff like 'tab' and voice comms, also using abilities didn't feel right.
Its a cool idea in theory, in practice it probably takes a while to get used to and I don't think it really does anything to help you.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Overwatch-Origins-Exclusive-Memory-Bundle/dp/B01BGL2W9S/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1458567080&sr=1-1&keywords=origins+edition+overwatch
looking at it now - it looks like its exclusive to that specific origins edition.
This it the mic I'm using right now. Good quality for how cheap it is.
https://www.amazon.com/Zalman-Zm-Mic1-Sensitivity-Headphone-Microphone/dp/B00029MTMQ
If anyone is looking for a good deal on a last-minute preorder, Amazon has the Origins edition for $49 ($48 for Prime members).
he uses one of these:
https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/G/01/videogames/detail-page/B002I0K6X6.01.lg.jpg
to move around, and like normally a mouse to shoot.
so becuase he uses a 3rd party controller he can bind his whole keyboard to sounds
Mine was around $180-200CAD (after taxes), if I recall correctly, and assuming that's what you're asking.
EDIT: $195CAD - just checked.
EDIT2: Aww. If you're from the US, you can get it for $150. Lucky you guys D:
https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-GAMING-Support-04G-P4-6253-KR/dp/B01MF7EQJZ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1484274677&sr=8-2&keywords=GTX1050ti
No idea, the minimum graphics card for overwatch is the Intel HD 4100, it runs the game on low at 30-50, if yours is better than that it could potentially run the game at stable 60
This is the best I could find that still qualifies as "budget"
This one is much cheaper and should be able to run OW on medium-tweaked high at 60
Also if for any reason you are not satisfied with your GPU's performance you can drop the render scale, the game will render at a smaller resolution and then stretch all pixels to fit the screen, it's like negative anti-aliasing, everything will look somewhat blurry but with the render scale at 50% even a dinosaur should be able to run the game at +200, given that you are not CPU limited.
This is how the main menu looks at 50% render scale http://imgur.com/a/zMhTg
Ah, I don't personally use a SC, I've just heard from people on Blizz forums that do that they have the same issue. I'm actually using one of these and a mouse, it is how I play every shooter on PC.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015PYYDMQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
That one will play it, 60fps at 1080p on high. It's the one I have for when I'm on the road
Funny thing is that most of the time the physical copy of the Origins Edition is way cheaper than the digital pre-order.
This does not happen everywhere but for example in the UK, the digital preorder is 45 pounds while the physical one is only 35-36 pounds, or 38 pounds if you want extra stuff ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01BGL2W9S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ).
I've just chcecked UK amazon and it's cheaper to get Origin Edition with them than it is via Blizzard store, plus you get physical copy. I'm still not sure about widowmaker skin, do you know anything about it?
overwatch on amazon uk
Hey, so ive been looking into the 1050ti and I found this.
https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-GAMING-Support-04G-P4-6253-KR/dp/B01MF7EQJZ
My pc runs a 250w power supply, but do you think my pc can handle this even though it is recommended for a 300w power supply?
I was looking at that! My only issue would be is that I plan on plugging in my PC, Xbox One, And PS4 into this since I game with everything at my desk, and that one would allow for my PC and one HDMI. Of course I could just switch it around.
What are your thoughts on this one?
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B2HH7G0/ref=psdc_1292115011_t1_B00ITORITU
I am pretty sure there is no Canadian store.

Does the amazon pc version of Overwatch come with a dvd to install the game or a key code? For reference https://www.amazon.ca/ACTIVISION-72984-Overwatch-Origins-Edition/dp/B017L187YG/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1463720259&sr=1-1&keywords=overwatch
If your focus will be gaming, you can get 144hz monitors for 300$ or less for sure. This one for example.
I've bought this from Amazon for a friend's birthday, what they do is give you a digital code which your friend uses to add a $20.00 balance to their battle.net account. edit: should note that there's no physical item that goes along with this, it's just a digital purchase.
I´ve tried a lot of different razer mice and some noname stuff. Right now im using the Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum RGB and it is by far the best I´ve played with yet. There is nothing I could complain about, but maybe I was just unlucky cause all the razer mice I had broke in some way after couple of months.
oh and its on sale on amazon right now :D

Yup yup. Open mic is the way to go without a doubt. I have a $8 Zalman mic. After playing with the thresholds it only triggers when I talk, flick a lighter, or drop something on my desk.
I know this is from 2 months ago, but now you can. Here. Just announced today.

I've also got the G502. Quality mouse. If you're looking to buy the same version, Logitech released a newer version, the G502 Proteus Spectrum, with customizable lights.

http://www.amazon.com/Battle-net-Store-Gift-Card-Balance/dp/B012JMS4W2/ two of these should do the trick.
Nope. I just checked Amazon and indeed Overwatch Origins is still in stock, costing what I was expecting from a two-year-old game:

For a recommendation that is less than $10
Seriously though this is an underpriced mic... 4 years in use.
So I can’t tell if this specific problem is because of Overwatch or my mouse/keyboard, but I’m leaning towards that it’s on Overwatch’s end.
This bug regards to specifically Reinhardt, Torbjörn, and Mercy.
The mouse I use is the Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum and the keyboard is just any old, regular Logitech keyboard, not a mechanical.
Whenever I play Mercy or Torb, I’m not able to switch weapons (randomly and often too). Even when I press the 1/2 buttons on my keyboard, it switches and goes back to the weapon I was using previously. For example, if I switched to the hammer to fix my turret and wanted to go back to my gun, I would have to constantly scroll or press for a good 10 times before it actually changes. I’ve tried plugging the mouse into a different USB port and updating it, and the computer is up to date as well. I only have this problem with Overwatch. Another problem is that I have a sensitivity button on my mouse and all of a sudden, it’s connected to the “thanks” voice line. Due to this, I’m not able to change my sensitivity and I don’t know how to fix it.
As for Reinhardt, whenever I charge into an enemy or ult, I completely do a 180 turn and then charge or ult. This happens 95% of the time I play him. I don’t jolt my mouse or anything and I make sure I’m facing the right way. Is it because my sensitivity’s too high or does anyone else have this problem?
Pretty sure there hasn't been an official announcement unless I missed it. A dev tweeted saying 4PM PDT on the 23rd but people were unsure if that meant the time for physical release or servers going up because of the notice on Amazon that says:
>Release date announcement: "Overwatch" will now be released one day early, on May 23rd, 2016. Servers go live on May 24th, 2016.
EDIT: was just pointing out that there is still some confusion, not saying that myself or anyone else should believe Amazon over a dev tweet.
alright... I was about to rage at you fine stranger, I hate when people show me their mouse and it has 15+ buttons... you dont need that at all, 2-3 buttons is fine like what mine is lol
This is my mouse.... I know I know it's probably bad :(
Right, with enough time and practice you will get used to stranger controls.. I tried putting jump on my mouse but i've literally used space to jump ever since I started playing games, so that's something that won't change

If he can't buy these gift cards and give you the codes, something is wrong.
This information is obsolete. Ethernet, if incapable to connect to router from the room the PC is in, can be connected via power by purchasing an adapter on Amazon.
