If he likes WWII nonfiction, I would recommend A Higher Call and The Hiding Place. I also liked this book on submarine Cold War espionage called Blind Man's Bluff.

That wasn't the description in this book I believe it was an eyewitness account from an embedded reporter. Big difference between a jet an an helicopter.

This might be a long shot, but does anyone here have any recommendations for books regarding post-war reconstruction of Japan?

I am noticing more and more similarities between leadership and management principles between Toyota and the US military. It's enough that it can't be a coincidence, but I'm not sure how to learn more (if it's even possible).

Edit: I might have found something, a bit pricey though.

Re: Gillette below, how do you guys shave? About 5 years ago I bought a double edge razor. That was about $40. Blades come in a 100-pack for $10. Actually, just checked, my brand of choice is $8 on Amazon. That's right, 8 cents per blade. I tend to use a fresh blade for each shave, but if you don't care about a perfect cut, you can re-use the same blade many times. It's not an exaggeration to say you can do a year+ on an $8 pack of blades.

I think back to when I bought the Mach-3 replacement packs and just smh. The amount of money I threw down a drain...
