Well, I like your list. I don't know that Rode mic in particular but Lefty had two different Rode mics during PKA and they both sounded great.

I'd personally point you toward the RE20. I love mine and you don't have to be right on top of it to sound great. I also love my Shure SM7B but more than one person has mentioned to me that they can hear me breathe so I'm either going to switch back to the giant foam pop filter or to the RE20.

This package is $500 but it comes with the mic, shock mount, cable, boom, etc. http://www.amazon.com/Electro-Voice-Microphone-Shockmount-Two-Section-Broadcast/dp/B00U1S4YY4/ref=sr_1_2?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1457378551&sr=1-2&keywords=re20

I don't like your audio interface. In particular it's analog and in my experience if you turn up the gain on an analog mixer you get a hiss. It's not a subtle hiss you think you hear either, it's a real problem. (Or maybe the one I had was just extra bad?)

Anything in the scarlet focusrite series will do, this one is $100: http://www.amazon.com/Focusrite-Scarlett-Solo-Compact-Interface/dp/B00MTXU2DG/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1457378874&sr=8-3&keywords=focusrite

For $150 you can get two inputs: http://www.amazon.com/Focusrite-2i2-USB-Recording-Interface/dp/B005OZE9SA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1457378874&sr=8-1&keywords=focusrite

Let me know how to sound wedges do. I typically just count on curtains, shag carpet, oil painting and furniture to break up the sound.

lmao def would check it out if I had the ability, sounds pretty decent.

Also I have a few more questions if you don't mind..

So I was also thinking about a certified refurbished 4k TV from Amazon, just not sure about that.

And then I found two 4k TCLs that are both 2018 models but I'm not sure the difference, can you tell what the difference is?

TCL 43S425 43 Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart Roku LED TV (2018) ($250)

TCL 43S517 43-Inch 4K Ultra HD Roku Smart LED TV (2018 Model) ($300)

Probably because one is Smart Roku and the other is Roku Smart lol /s

I also forgot to ask for TCLs is the Contrast Control Zone (CCZ) worth it? The TV would be in a bright room with lots of windows and glare.

It's a beast, prepare to be playing ever game you own at 1080p/high/ultra with great framerates. I use a GTX 760 as well, but paired with a much worse CPU. (AMD FX 6350) and i still get great performance.

Enjoy, and subscribe to /r/PcMasterRace

PS. I'd try to get a different version of the 760, like EVGA. Not many people buy Zotac cards, and i'm sure theres a reason for that even if it's slightly less expensive. http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Dual-Link-Graphics-02G-P4-2763-KR/dp/B00DHW4HS4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1393702730&sr=8-2&keywords=EVGA+760

This is the exact card i have with the ACX cooler that EVGA uses, i get about 23-25 Degrees Celsius on idle, it's extremely quiet and it looks fucking beautiful. For a few bucks more, might as well get it.

First off, I'd like to confirm that this is your motherboard.

http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4305#ov

If it is, you can see from the page there that the socket is AM3+, so you'll want to find a processor that fits this socket. If you look at pcpartpicker, you can easily find processors that fit these specification.

http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/cpu/#k=4

(hopefully that link works, it should processors that fit the AM3+ socket type, make sure that is checked on the right side of the screen)

Ok, so here comes the recommendation. I highly recommend the 8350, as it is one of the processors that rivals intel's chips most commonly used for gaming. You shouldn't have any problems playing any games on it, as your GPU will most likely be the bottleneck.

I'm also inclined to ask the wattage on your power supply, and who the manufacturer is. You wouldn't want to put a more intensive processor and risk everything because of a power supply that isn't adequate. You should be fine, seeing as you currently have a 660 installed, but please do a check to make sure you'll be ok installing a new CPU. I would recommend any power supply made by a well-known manufacturer, above 450-500 watts.

Audio-Technica ADH AD700x are also great. I have a pretty big head and there's still room in these for plenty more. Super comfortable and lightweight as well

I don't have much personal experience with butt pads, but here are some examples that look suitable. Check out some reviews and don't spend too much.

You definitely want to wear running shoes, simply because the foot stretchers are sized to accommodate bulky running shoes. Plus socks won't give you the traction or the support that you need for a consistent stroke.

Good luck!

I've had Nalgenes for a while, but I only used them for camping, backpacking, and stuff like that. I decided to buy a new one that wasn't old and beat up because of Woody and now I carry one around at school and at home. Also, if you do buy one, those easy sipper caps that go inside the lid are pretty cool especially if you don't like the wide mouth.

They are only $11 on amazon! How could you not buy one?

i am reading these two books, http://www.amazon.com/In-Search-Schr%C3%B6dingers-Cat-Quantum/dp/0553342533 and http://www.amazon.com/Erwin-Schrodinger-Quantum-Revolution-Gribbin/dp/1118299264. i just ordered this book (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0983358931/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1KIF2Y9A1PQYE) like 3 days ago and am gonna start reading it soon. also i started playing wow in early sept so i will skim the official mop strat guide just as some extra help once in a while. in school we just finished catcher in the rye and its pretty cool and mind altering.

They have the Radix One wallet found here.

I personally didn't hear it mentioned on the show, I think I may have missed it, but after seeing it on the sub I believed it and bought one and it's fucking great.

It's like 1/4th the size of my wallet & it's smaller than you'd think. Only issue I guess could be that if you don't have enough cash there is a chance it can slip out, I had 2 5's slip out in my pocket somehow. So I put a couple extra 1's in there to make it harder to slip out. OR you can put cash in with the cards, I'll probably do that next time as it looks cleaner too.

edit: Also I might try one of these soon.

u/LolFishFail · 1 pointr/PKA

This is the one I have, assuming you're US.

It holds one litre of water, is easy to clean and doesn't make water / juice taste like plastic. One of the best value purchases I've got, since I used it every single day and cost £10.

Hey Woody, if you happen to read this; I have a suggestion for bluetooth hookup... There are devices you can get that will connect to your phone and to a certain signal on the radio, which will let you call and listen to the music on the radio, through your phone. An example would be the Motorola Roadster.

Maybe you've considered this already, but you didn't mention it in the video, so I thought I'd put in my two cents. My family has had one for several years (the original, not the pro), and it works well if you want to make calls over a stock radio in older cars. Just a thought :)

P.S. Coincidental, but my family also just purchased a 5 cyl 2006 VW Jetta. I guess it's not super uncommon.

Edit: The version I originally linked didn't have radio connectability. The first two versions of the Motorola do, though, so I changed the link. :)

They sell it on Amazon for $25. Well worth it in my opinion as it really is better than every other option out there. I don't use it everyday but do use it frequently if I'm going out and want to make sure my breath is perfect.

u/Smagooginpoop · 1 pointr/PKA

Slim fit. Link below. These have some stretch to them, too. Be sure to wash them before wearing. Otherwise, some of the dye may rub onto your shoes.

Side note: Thursday Boot company is another great option for nice boots.

Thanks. FYI to anyone trying to filter water please don't use Brita filters they are crap. Take some time and save up a little cash and invest in a filter system that has a ceramic filter in it, way better and last alot longer. here is what my family use

The stock cooler generally does fine, but the best cpu fan on the market IMO is the cooler master hyper 212 evo, which you can get for $20-30.

Seriously Woody, get a splitting wedge and a maul. Like you, I'm no woodcutting expert, but changing from an axe to a maul made everything so much easier! You become much more efficient, and those big logs aren't a problem with the wedge. And you don't get the problem of the axe sticking into the log. I sincerely suggest that you try a wedge.
