we're software engineers / growers of pilea + succulents. have tested most of the LED lights on the market. most aren't great - main stat to check with lights is photosynthetic active radiation (PAR) - i.e. how many photons emitted in the spectra where the plant can consume it for photosynthesis. we've tested many lights with PAR sensors to validate quality; good value for money is galaxyhydro: https://www.amazon.com/Galaxyhydro-Spectrum-Indoor-Greenhouse-Plants/dp/B00INM0DSG/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1506741458&sr=8-2&keywords=galaxyhydro. many have purple light because chlorophyll is most efficient in blue & red spectra of light though some research supports whiter light. If light held >12" away from the plant, the heat shouldn't be a problem. hope info is helpful - absolutely love science of growing so happy to chat much more on subject :)

I've been feeding at every watering (about once a week) Foliage-Pro diluted by half the recommended dosage, and Maxicrop Liquid Seaweed diluted by a quarter recommended dosage every other week since most of my succulents are young and I want to promote root growth and I was told kelp extract does exactly that. I'm still new to the gritty mix, so I'll adjust according to how the plants respond. I've bought a TDS tester to make sure I don't burn the plants by being too enthusiastic about the fertilzer.

the lights go off every night, sorry about that i tried to edit it out but could not figure it out :(. They are under two luminus 17w 16000 lumen 5000k bulbs (, I fertilize with miracle grow liquid fertilizer and fish poop water.

(the editing program i tried editing with is called davinci resolve could not find out how to select and delete parts of the vid)

I added half a miracle grow plant food stick (6-12-6) and an LED light from Amazon (Lighting schedule is six hrs/day plus natural light from the east facing window)

The leaves are greener and the leaves that used to be yellow or now perkier with a bit more color. It’s only been 4 days since adding the light. My other plants have also benefited from the light.

I have this bulb right above my heart leaf philodendron at work and it’s thriving. I just screwed it into a desk lamp. It should screw into most lamps just make sure it’s facing down and directing the light to the plant. LMK if this ends up helping!

This is awesome. I'm about to get a pilea peperomioides. I think I'll try and grow it first with window light - and then with any babies I'll try using artificial light. I was thinking of this light - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IVQ96KY/. Not sure if it would be overkill...

I saw them once in a plant book. I bought the bows from a local thrift store and made the wooden stands myself. A fellow redditor found them on amazon :

I got mine on Amazon, thriving little guy until I over watered but that's obviously my own fault. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0719QHBHC?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
