I personally own a pair of V-MODA Crossfade M-100's with a BoomPro mic and the XL Ear cushions.

Put simply, they are absolutely amazing and would not go with anything else for gaming or music listening. Now, I'm not going to lie, it's very expensive for just a headset, but I'm an audiophile and want the very best out of my sound. If you want something that is amazing but won't kill your wallet, go for the Crossfade M-80's. Biggest bang for your buck.

As for audio quality, my old turtle beach headset couldn't even compare to these. Everything about them is just amazing. They are better than a pair of Beats and most "gaming" headsets. The 3D soundstage makes playing this game (or any game for that matter) an absolute joy with unparalleled audio quality. Wouldn't go for anything else for the price. I cannot stress how good these things are.

As for comfort level, they're pretty good, but you will definitely want the XL cushions. I can play up to 6 hours on end with only two adjustments on my head before my eyes are like "we're done here." Needless to say, they stay very comfortable for extended periods of time.

The BoomPro mic is nice, but not entirely necessary, because the in-line mic that comes with the cable works just fine.

TLDR: If you have the money, BUY THESE HEADPHONES!! And if you're broke go with the M-80's.

I use the ($60) [Logitech G430] (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104847) w/ Sennheiser Splitter cable, it really needs a splitter as audio is too low without. As for features, it sounds like any other headset nothing special, but it is more comfortable with it's softer earcups. I heard of someone using an adapter from turtle beach to get full 7.1 out of them as they are advertised to offer 7.1, but only on PC. I've never tried adapter on PS4:

But, I also heard alot of good things about HyperX, I think this is their first gen pair($68)

And last but not least the PC fav,Kraken($70)

A bit of advice on any headphones you choose(if you plan to use microphone function), you would do well to have some audio splitter cable as audio improves dramatically. For example, my G430 came with an adapter that ran through USB, but audio was so low it was worthless. Also, pretty much any headphones should work on PS4 with an adapter or Splitter cable, but splitter is a better solution, just stay away....far away from anything branded "StarTech" as they are usually recommended or shown "bought together" on Amazon, they seem perfect cuz their cheap, but I used a splitter adapter from them and it was DOA.

Although not one of the options you listed, here is my suggestion. I had the Sony Pulse headset, and thought those were nice, then I bought these (which are repurposed entry level audiophile phones with a mic) and never looked back.
They're cheap, but they sound better than my Pulse. They're very very clear (nearly too much so), but the bass are also full and present. The directionality is very precise. Extremely durable too. I've had mine for a few years now, and they still feel new.

I sound like I'm marketing but they're really good (especially compared to most gaming headsets I had). I just had to spread the word.

I have a pair of Hyper X Clouds, work with the PC and PS4 and sound great. Not too expensive either.

According to their website it's pretty much instantaneous.

>How download codes work: You’ll instantly receive a download code, which you’ll redeem directly on your console or online through your console’s website. This code will be stored in Your Games Library on Amazon if you need to access it later.

The only major complaint I hear about the PS4 is the shoddy soldering job on the HDMI port. My friend who works at an electronics repair shop gets them in regularly for this issue. Just be gentle with the HDMI when you plug it in and remove it and try to minimize the amount you mess with it and you'll have no issues.

Everything else runs fine. If you're worried about heat, get a stand with fans in them like the one in the link below. I have never had issues and I sometimes forget to turn on the fan.

I ordered Kontrol freaks edge and strike pack, hopefully that helps.

Strike pack just for the paddles as I won't be using any mods.

I have an old wired mic and headphone Gamecom headset I still use when I forget to charge my wireless. You can buy a Y adapter off of amazon for 5 bucks to make it work. Dont blow a bunch of cash on something that you wont make a difference.

Did you know, you can use any set of headphones as a microphone? Plug your headphones into the mic jack on one of these bad boys [because if you use the controller jack it'll only work as headphones], then plug it into your USB port and boom you're talking. It doesn't sound awesome quality, but it works.
