I play on the One X and it runs pretty smooth for me. Grant it I don’t like the new looting UI/system but the game is good and fun. I started playing Fortnite only to outweigh the cons when I start to get frustrated with pubg. Some advice for you guys.... if you are playing with the OG Xbox one/s buy an external SSD and format it and install your game on there. The loads times will improve as well as your rendering problems with be slashed in half! I have 3 Xbox’s in my home and one x in my battle station. It works great.

Personally I use the old Astro Mixamp RX with Audio Technica AD700s and a MicMod. Been using this set up since MW2 but most of the items are discontinued.

I've been hearing a lot of people suggesting the HyperX Cloud's though. Good headset for the price. I suggest spending at least around $100 for a decent setup. You'll be better off in the end than buying some Turtle Beaches for $60ish. Having a good headset will seriously change the way you play and enjoy games.

Sennheiser GAME ZERO Gaming Headset- Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KNPYAEY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_0NoZCbD64ASBJ

These in my opinion are some of the nicest headphones for the price. High quality microphone and clarity. The sound is just impeccably clear and has a flat response. Not too much bass. Easy mute and volume controls.

I bought them and everyone in my circle all bought them after trying them. These particular headphones are used in game development and you can easily tell the difference. Highly recommend.

Turtle Beach These will do fine

they go on sale once in a while, I got them about 2 weeks after the game came out for $43. Like stated above, they are game changers. I never liked big headphones in the past but these are really comfortable. Nice short cord to the controller, easy button set up for muting and adjusting volume.

I went nuclear and ordered a full fledged SSD (480 gigs), partially because I plan to build a gaming pc sometime in the future and justified the cost by saying I'll use it with my pc. Here's the one I got-

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00M8ABFX6/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And here's the enclosure-

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00JQTO8TU/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1

That's what I'd got and it's worked good, but the part 2 to all this is that you can get a SSHD for cheaper and it's likely to work just as well. That's what my good friend did and he tells me he has 0 pop in issues now. Someone in the r/xboxone subreddit did some SSD vs SSHD tests and found the differences minimal, so the SSHD is what I've been recommending to others. Here's the one he bought-

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01IEKG484/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1522166973&sr=8-2&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=Seagate%2Bfirecuda%2Bsshd&dpPl=1&dpID=51Q5JsfaKQL&ref=plSrch&th=1&psc=1

So, less money for more storage and basically the same performance. He doesn't know what enclosure he got, he got whatever generic one the store had for cheap.

Edit- just because some people have had some confusion about it, these aren't dedicated "external hard drives." They are real hard drives that are turned into external hard drives with the use of the enclosures (saves you money, with the added bonus that they can also be used in your pc should you ever need it). Here's a video that goes over it a bit more.

fair enough

As for your question, I very nearly got an SSD last payday but as I am on an X I decided I didn't need it and got a 4K tv instead.

It will be cheaper for you to get an External case for an internal SSD and buying an internal SSD to fit in it.

A case like this - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00OJ3UJ2S/?coliid=I2XJWC89JAYSO2&colid=26Y94U6JP79W9&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

With an SSD like this - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0784SLQM6/?coliid=I7WS62APTUVY7&colid=26Y94U6JP79W9&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

This is a 500GB internal SSD, you can probably get a smaller one if you wanted for cheaper.

I have this one and love it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074PK4R2H/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

If you want the best picture a TV is a better option but monitors tend to have better reaction time.

I bought this one recently. Its a little expensive, but its an official one made for xbox one by seagate, so decided to spend the extra money to get it as i had gift cards i needed to use anyway.

If you want one thats much cheaper that should work just as good, get this one:

This is the one I've been using for about 2+ months and it's pretty amazing! Samsung C27HG70

I'm just copy and pasting my comment for you. :)

If you're willing to spend money but don't want to reduce available space due to limited slots this was what I bought to upgrade from having 2x 2Tb external hard drives.

Samsung T5 Portable SSD - 500GB - USB 3.1 External SSD (MU-PA500B/AM) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073GZBT36/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_1E8SCbJVJBRNQ

Considering it costs 100$ just for a 500Gb, I definitely wasn't about to buy a 2Tb. So instead I bought this too.

Silicon Power 4TB Rugged Portable External Hard Drive Armor A60, Shockproof USB 3.1 Gen 1 for PC, Mac, Xbox and PS4, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GFDRFSR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_qJ8SCb6H93SBR

For another 100$ I bought this 4Tb, for 30$ more you can buy 5Tb. Easily beats paying 350$ for a 2Tb SSD as long as you just put games that need the boost on the SSD and dump the rest on the regular external.

The cheaps ones suck.. there is a reason they're cheap.

This one is the best you'll get for a reasonable price.

I ended up getting:

With enclosure:

Just like the guy who posted his setup before me, I 10/10 recommend. Its actually insane how much of difference it makes

u/sirdiealot53 · 2 pointsr/PUBGXboxOne

Pretty sure that's a DRAM-Less SSD. I'd go with an 860 Evo.

I am sure the introduction of the $125 XIM Apex is making k&m input a lot more accessible to a larger number of players.

Microsoft says to use an external drive, it MUST BE 256GB or larger.

He’s the one I use.

I have a very similar setup. If you havent looked into curved monitors, I would suggest it. I debated on 4k monitor vs curved, because they are priced very similarly, and ended up going with curved. Although it isn't 4k, the Xbox One X detects it as so along with HDR and the monitor has freesync and 144hz refresh (along with a huge amount of settings built it). I have absolutely zero regrets and would highly recommend.

The monitor I bought: https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-LC27HG70QQNXZA-C27HG70-27-Inch-Monitor/dp/B06XSQ5QN8

u/FIFA16 · 1 pointr/PUBGXboxOne

The Samsung 860 Evo is probably the best on the market in its price range:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B078WQJXNF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_XmT-Ab9B5MN9F

For around £10-15 more than the cheapest, I feel it’s worth the extra for it’s almost guaranteed reliability. But it’s hardly faster (if at all) than the cheaper £55-60 ones. Any SSD is better than no SSD.

250GB gets you at least 4 of your favourite games installed on it. No need for larger in my opinion, prices are constantly reducing anyway.

You just need a USB 3.0 2.5” SATA enclosure. Many other people have been linking them here. Should cost no more than £5-10.

Does it work? Yes. So much evidence on this sub alone. Most retailers such as Amazon will refund it no problem if you’re not happy anyway.

Idk if posting this is not allowed but here is the 4 k 1 ms monitor I purchased.

My only gripe is there are no display ports on the one Xbox. Any way around this?
