OG Vive with TPCast here too!
You'll need to use "Open TP Cast" to have wireless Mic functionality.
It's what I use and more importantly it also has huge performance benefits over the normal TPCast software.
Basic Guide:
1.) Buy a $5.79 16GB Class 10 Micro SD card from Amazon then download and load the latest TPCast software onto it. Also, install the latest OpenTPCast Drivers from the same site.
2.) Use a small Phillip's head screwdriver to quickly take apart the receiver from your TPCast and swap the SDCard out for your newly loaded one. (Keep your old MicroSD, in case you ever need to go back)
3.) Download VirtualHere and pay the one time $25 for your OpenTPCast key(which you will get in email afterward). Open VirtualHere and paste the key you bought into it.
4.) From now on (to start VR) you just start "VirtualHere", wait about 5 seconds until it connects to your TPCast and shows your Vive and controllers "In Use"(if they dont show "in use" you can right click each one and click "Use"). Start SteamVR and play as normal. ("VirtualHere" just takes the place of your old "TPCast" software which connects to the TPCast/OpenTPCast prior to starting SteamVR).
Benefits:
Note: Front facing camera still doesn't work, as normal with TPCast
P.S. Do NOT "Backup and Flash" the original SD Card from your TP Cast! (Save your old one which can be swapped back into it at any time.) The software on your original Mirco SD is specific to your device and can NOT be retrieved/re-loaded to go back.
The new $5 Class 10 16GB Micro SD is a cheap zero-risk choice and also performs better giving you a better experience, no slow-down of framerate and gets rid of "grayscreens" or loss-signal crashes forever.
Here's the full guide I used which will walk you through it in no time at all.
If you have any questions, shoot me a message and I'll help walk you through it.
Ceiling cable management helps a lot as well. MIDWEC 6 Packs Cable Management https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XY5WKXW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_Xyq4Ab6G916W6
Hi there. I'm pretty well known by this game's community and very active on the official discord. I develop maps and do some programming to improve the game. I own and work with multiple VR headsets and prefer the WMR ones over the others for a number of reasons.

This is the device that I use primarily:
https://www.amazon.com/Dell-Virtual-Reality-Controllers-Compatible/dp/B077R65C4D

Advantages of this device over vive / oculus: higher resolution, easier setup, comparable tracking quality.

Pros and cons regarding tracking balance out...

For 499$ you get an oculus rift with two sensors which results in deadzones galore and height problems (aka: your player model is too tall to pickup an object / gun / bomb off the ground so you are basically screwed any time that this is required to win)...

For 230$ you get a Dell Visor with higher resolution and much more reliable tracking so long as your hands are reasonably within the bounds of your visor's detection zone. You can turn 360 degrees and not lose tracking which is impossible with the 499$ rift setup.

For 600$+ you can get a Vive, which is still a first generation device, lower resolution, and we all know second generation devices are right around the corner....

tl;dr unless you're a millionaire -- dont waste your time with the vive and oculus at present. The low resolution screens on these devices look really bad. The dell visor is also way more comfortable and has a vastly superior "flip up" design.
In case you are wondering, Pavlov works fine with WMR.
PS. I did my research on WMR headsets, the Dell Visor is second only to the Samsung.
If you have questions talk to me on discord if i dont reply here.
