The method the MC is using here is the coffee drip/pour over method. The glass heating containers on the left are the siphon coffee makers.

When you're picking up coffee as a hobby, remember that you're going to go through a lot of batches of coffee that aren't good until you master your technique. You're also going to go through a lot of beans which just don't have the taste you're looking for (these make great gifts for other people).

For online subscriptions, I recommend https://one.mistobox.com/

For good coffee equipment, I recommend checking here.

If you want to do it like in Leblanc, then go with pour over coffee equipment.

You'll want to get a gooseneck electric kettle such as the bonavita model shown here.

Why a gooseneck like the one in the screenshot above? The gooseneck shape is very useful for limiting the amount of water coming out of your kettle while also allowing you to be far more accurate with how you pour your water than over a standard kettle. This is very important in the pour over method as how you pour does determine the taste of your final product. I also recommend electric kettles because having precise temperature controls is very important with trying to figure out the exact temperature at which to make your coffee.

If you want the pour over coffee method, you'll need one of the drippers/filters here.

Pour over method requires precise aim to ensure a good cup of coffee. Here you go!

If you want to do it through the siphon coffee method, I recommend this.

People love a good cup of coffee and becoming a master of such a skill will make you well loved by your SO. Its also a great topic and skill to teach others.

Proper coffee is drank black without milk, sugar, or cream (though depending on your culture you may add milk and cream). The reason for this is that these extra ingredients are typically used to cover up the taste of bad coffee. If you get good coffee beans and treat them right, you will be fine. Make sure you're using filtered water as well as bad tap water will heavily alter your taste with extra "flavors" you aren't looking for.

Head over to /coffee subreddit and they'll get you hooked!

Coffee making, like tea, is a relatively cheap and easy hobby to pick up while also being useful and a great topic of conversation. Its a useful skill as well and an easy way to impress a date or friends, though if you really want to impress people, learn to cook. Learning to cook is NEVER a bad idea.

Also make sure to buy a good UV-coated and airtight container to store your beans.

Some extra guides if you want to be super serious about coffee. 1, 2, 3.

Exactly! A lot of authors, especially new ones, hide behind being dark and edgy to avoid being creative and actually develop characters. Most of the time there is only one personality that all characters share in a dark and edgy story.

You can be edgy and genuine, but not many people are. It takes a lot of work to pull it off and people generally aren't willing to put in the time necessary.

And yes, the Naoto and Kanji situation is incredibly deep, more so than pretty much any P3 character. I too love how it is left ambiguous. Is Kanji gay or just can't accept himself as having a feminine side. Will Naoto become more girly or is she more comfortable as a male? Who knows, who cares? Wherever they end it will be by their own choice and they would be completely accepting of themselves.

You can also easily be silly while being dark and edgy. Even down right hilarious. My favorite example of this is Shakespeare, yes a very cliché especially for an English major but hear me out. The play Titus Andronicus is Shakespeare's darkest, bloodiest, and most violent play. But it also has some really funny lines and exchanges. It can also be played to be downright hilarious. If you want proof check out The Globe's production of it, I highly recommend it: clip; to buy

And yeah, I went on a bit of a rant there. Sorry.

> Systems aren't easy to find except used

That's odd, I can find them pretty easily on Amazon for a fairly decent price. The PSTV and P4G together would be like the price of a new game right now which is much more appealing to someone than asking them to get a PS3 or emulate if they're not into that.

> but getting a Vita/PSTV now is a pretty terrible idea.... P4G is just about the only game worth playing on the system

That's not true, I'd argue the Vita/PSTV is a really great console for JRPG fans (which I'm assuming people who like Persona 5 are). Surprisingly the Vita sold pretty decently in Japan, and survived by porting a bunch of rpgs to the West. Got a few myself like Tails of Hearts R, and it's pretty fun ngl.

Xcostume Persona 5 Shinya Oda Hat Get Smoked Red Cotton Cap Cosplay Accessory for Daily Use https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GFN9TFV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_bt.CDbNWC8EKF
this one looks pretty well made, and looks pretty accurate to shinya’s hat in game. it also has amazon prime, free returns, and a good review on amazon. hope this helped :D

Actually you would be surprised at how snazzy those headphones really are. I got a pair from Amazon on a whim and the sound quality was actually really good.

The hang over your head just like in the game as well. Made me feel pretty cool walking around (although I probably won't admit that in person).

The only problem is that they are a little fragile. If you're not careful they can break pretty easy. But after I realized that I never really damaged them again, just wear them sometimes not everyday.

Curry is super easy to make! Just get the curry sauce base and add in whatever you like. According to Wikipedia, House Foods brand is the top brand in Japan so you could start there. Traditionally it's onions, carrots, and potatoes. And rice. For extra protein you could add pork or chicken cutlet. Or add whatever you like! It's a very hearty and tasty dish, so beware the waistline.

You can get curry off of Amazon. Or most large grocery stores will have at least a small section of Japanese curry roux.

  1. Not sure how you would do that. There is an Amazon link but since it's supposedly an NA release it might not be available in the U.K. You would have to go to someone else, PM someone to arrange a purchase and shipping of the game to you, or look up an alternative store.

  2. Regular version is $50 for the PS3, $60 for the PS4 on Amazon.

  3. Presumably, yes. I can't imagine why.

  4. The trend for the past Persona games has been that Atlus releases it in the EU a quarter to a third of a year after the NA release. I would expect an EU release of Persona 5 somewhere in June of next year. If you can't wait several more months for it, just import it.

  5. Apparently the PS4 is not region-locked, nor does it require games to be region-locked, so I'd say that that is highly unlikely.

  6. Presumably, yes; however I don't know what their plan is regarding DLC, as DLC is a new venture for the recent Persona games (Persona 3 and 4 had FES, P3P, and Golden, but those were more like second edition releases rather than DLCs).

I got the Art of Persona 5, and it's pretty awesome. It includes info, concepts, final artwork, and notes from the designers/artists for just about everything in the game, aside from the palace interiors. I'd definitely recommend it.

u/O_Apples · 1 pointr/Persona5

Lol, you describe Vita Remote play in the list of things you wish.

Something that really helps Vita Remote Play

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01ERA94BY

No matter how much I tried I could not get used to the back touch pad for remote play. It really helped adding physical buttons that can be pressed.

u/LadyAnnPanther · 2 pointsr/Persona5

Sure! I'd say they fit true to size but also the waistband is stretchy elastic so there's some wiggle room unlike the ones that zip up 😄 Urban CoCo Women's Elastic Waist Tartan Pleated School Skirt https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M303J3D/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_e4fKzb631GVDW

u/kodamun · 3 pointsr/Persona5

You can get both games from Amazon for $15-$20 each new.

Persona 3 FES

Persona 4

If you have a Playstation 3, you can also buy digital versions from the store and they run great. I played both (well, all 3 - Persona 3, Persona 3 FES, and Persona 4) on a PS2 but after getting an LCD TV it was a lot easier just to play them on my PS3.

u/_SonGoham · 3 pointsr/Persona5

The bundle with all three is on sale for 50 bucks on Amazon. For that price, I can’t recommend it enough. It does feel like P3D and P5D are half a game respectively, so I’d be kicking myself if I spent 60 on either. But I got this deal and I feel like it’s absolutely worth it for all three titles.

The packaging and soundtracks are what sold me in importing them, especially this edition. AmazonJP is surprisingly fairly priced with not bad shipping options. Mines just got shipped out and hopefully you'll also join the party!

I highly recommend ordering from Amazon Japan. I live on the west coast (US) and regularly get my orders two days after placing them. I believe there's a link on every page for an English version of the site.

Edit: Wow, it's actually sold out right now. Apparently it was #1 on Oricon daily at release.

u/Intensional · 1 pointr/Persona5

It's a legit recipe. I've made this one many times, and it is delicious. It calls for brewed instant coffee and cocoa powder.

If you want to save a lot of time, you can get bricks of Vermont Curry in most grocery stores. It is a very close approximation of scratch made Japanese curry.

u/SSSkies27 · 3 pointsr/Persona5

Amazon's got both games through 3rd party sellers:

P3FES: Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 FES - PlayStation 2 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0014CN2H6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_iW1yCbVM0ATF2

P4: Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 - PlayStation 2 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001C6GVI6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_RW1yCbQSB9984

I ordered P3FES from DealsTavern through Amazon and the game came on time and in good condition. I haven't ordered P4 yet, but if it's backed by Prime and you have it, you should be okay.

Buy from Amazon JP. They have an 18% discount off MSRP and deduct the tax for overseas buyers. The shipping is also cheaper than most other online retailers.

^(edit: the 18% off is only for the edition without Amazon's PS4 bonus theme downloadable from JP PSN)

u/Omega068 · 2 pointsr/Persona5

https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201380120 This is the pre-order policy. Looks like it's based on release, so unless they somehow get unfinished copies you should be fine. :3

Edit: Also it's April 4th on the actual page now. I'd imagine it saying Feb 14th on your tracked orders is just an oversight. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GKHJPAC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

The soundtrack is available on Amazon if you want : Amazon US. Seriously the packaging and CDs are sexy, I don't regret buying physical. Just sad that I can't read the booklet as it is in Japanese, there's commentary on certain tracks. Maybe in 10 years when I'll know enough Japanese.

u/UrufuKaze · 23 pointsr/Persona5

Support Meguro-san and buy the soundtrack?

iTunes | Amazon | CDJapan

Or just download it off the internet, I guess...

u/Albinobird · 5 pointsr/Persona5

If you want the actual CDs, Amazon has them - Amazon.co.jp & CD Japan also have them for slightly cheaper, but I bought it off of Amazon so I wouldn't have to wait several weeks for delivery. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N1HXZLI). Otherwise, you can get it on Itunes (https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/persona-5-original-soundtrack/1226945984).

u/Black_rose1809 · 1 pointr/Persona5

You can actually purchase a PSTV and play it cheap.

Vita @ Gamestop: $150

PSTV: $57
https://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-TV-vita/dp/B00KVMHSUM

Golden: $20

u/Valyrious_ · 1 pointr/Persona5

Preordered this when it was $50.

Believe me when I say, seeing this made my day!

Edit: Concisely, it is $23.99 (down from $39.99) on Amazon.com as well.

u/aquaka · 5 pointsr/Persona5

I got mine from amazon. If you have a PS4 or PS3 controller, it will be $50 for the PSTV and $20 for P4G. If you don't have a controller, there is a PSTV bundle with one for $80.

So basically, if you have a controller it will be $70, otherwise $100. Links below:

No the OST that came with the JP collectors was the 20th anniversary Persona album (20 tracks from each persona game). The one in the picture is the full OST which I got from Amazon here

u/Shadaroo · 4 pointsr/Persona5

The actual artbook that comes with the game is on Amazon via resellers I think, [but here's a full one coming out in a few months] (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/0744017319/ref=ox_sc_sfl_image_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER)

u/WelcomeToJazzClub · 1 pointr/Persona5

[It's on Amazon.co.uk for nearly £60, and is frequently out of stock there.]

You can also find it for about £40 on otaku.co.uk.

But these are both CD. There doesn't seem to be any legal route to get it in the UK digitally.

u/StaticzAvenger · 7 pointsr/Persona5

That's so awesome, Amazon delayed my order by 2 weeks but if anyone really wants a copy of the collectors edition it's up on Amazon again for now.
https://www.amazon.com/Persona-PlayStation-Take-Your-Heart-Premium/dp/B01GKHJPAC?th=1

u/monoblue · 5 pointsr/Persona5

It's available on Amazon. It's literally the first result on Google.

u/jonhohle · 1 pointr/Persona5

In case you didn't see, Amazon US has it back in stock - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GKHJPAC

English Artbook Link

It's discounted rn for preorder! They don't even have the final cover up yet ;_; but if you really want it you can get the Japanese Artbook but import costs are a bitch. Japanese Artbook should be in related items
