This is the one I have. Another might suite other people better but I like having a large spout to sip from and have it maintain its temperature pretty well. My gf and I started doing this about 3 years ago. I couldn't tell you how much waste we have cut down since doing this.

We use a water filter pitcher at home and I have one at work also. If you do this, make sure you only put water in the bottle and wash it about once a week. I've left iced tea in for a few days and it can get pretty rank quick. So I recommend sticking with water unless you rinse out daily with other liquids.

I'm not an actor, but I love accents. I bought Accents: A Manual for Actors by Robert Blumenfeld, and I thought it was amazing. He doesn't use IPA, but he does have a consistent and understandable system that's similar, and there's an accompanying CD.

Former professional actor here. Had several years of IPA in college. The key is to have a proper baseline for the way that the characters are actually supposed to sound. It all well and good learning what the symbols are supposed to mean, but if you're teaching yourself, you have no real reference. This is all about sound. You can't just do without hearing the sounds pronounced correctly. That said, if you're really interested in learning more, the definitive textbook is Edith Skinner's Speak with Distinction. Granted, it helps to have studies the works of Kristin Linklater to put a lot of this stuff in context.

these. I bought them recently, have never been into flossing, but now I can't wait to do it before bed. Makes your mouth feel infinitely better and more satisfied than just brushing.

Here

They are $15 and are unanimously reported to have the best sound quality in the low-price range.

I own a pair and could never possibly go back to something like traditional iPod earbuds.

You should really try something like this. The one I linked to is much more expensive than the one I found at my local pharmacy (around $4--same brand). The floss on the heads never break, and it's much easier to maneuver with the long handle. You can rinse the floss off and reuse the heads a few times before replacing them. It really helped me start to floss regularly.

Your slides should be aids to your presentation, they shouldn't be the presentation.

I would recommend reading Presentation Zen (and his website: www.presentationzen.com)

I wish that I could find some actual research to back this up, but what I read was in a 'book'. (Cradle to Cradle http://www.amazon.com/Cradle-Remaking-Way-Make-Things/dp/0865475873). Anyway, bottled water, soda, etc, is put in bottles that aren't really made for reuse (washing, bending, smashing and unsmashing) so the plastic degrades pretty quickly. You're then drinking plastic gas, more or less.

Nature- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Warrior Soul- Chuck Pfarrer

You might want to read "How to Analyze People on Sight" if you're in to public psychology.

Totally! There are a ton of translations, but I'm partial to this one (or here, if you would prefer to buy it). Some scholars say that it's not a very scholarly translation, but it's much more accessible and poetic than a lot of the other translations out there. This translation actually speaks to me; others, I'm like, wtf is this about...

Here's the book with option to view inside to learn more about HVS but it doesn't show the "good breathing" section.
I think we're aiming for the same thing, it's just when I hear deep breathing I imagine people taking in too much air and making themselves dizzy. For instance a common "anti-anxiety attack" method is to take big breaths which sadly makes things worse for the patient!

I focus more on the out breath and relaxing my neck and shoulders whilst breathing from the stomach area rather than chest. Also nose, not mouth!
It's a very interesting read for anyone considering it, have a look at the preview which exlpains the "system in stress" idea.
