Yep, grains cause inflammation in the body. Its pretty much a proven fact. Consistent results in lab mice, and anyone who honestly pays attention to their body can tell a difference. Don't get me wrong, I still eat bread and grains every once in a while, and thinks there's a place for them in an active persons diet, but there's no denying grains cause inflammation. This guy http://www.drperlmutter.com/ thinks all carbs, including grains, are bad, which is a bit overboard if you're an athlete or a moderately active person, but his book is quite interesting https://www.amazon.com/Grain-Brain-Surprising-Sugar-Your-Killers/dp/031623480X There's a lot of pear-reviewed data about carbohydrates and inflammation in the book. A super interesting part of the book is when he started doing research on India, and noticed a large portion of Indian diets consists of carbs, but they have super low incidences of inflammation based diseases (Alzheimer's being the primary disease focused on), he finally made the connection that people in India also consume a huge amount of turmeric in their diet, turmeric is pretty much the best natural anti-inflammatory in the world. I could go on forever about diet and diet-related research. Anyways, glad you've made a connection with grains and your inflammation. If you noticed the dramatic difference as you stated, you very well may have a legit gluten intolerance. Maybe get tested? Here's the catch-22: if you keep going down the rabbit-hole of reduced gluten/grain intake, it will make it worse and worse each time you try to go back to eating bread/grains.

I’ve since learned a lot about mastic gum. It has anti-microbial action against multiple bacteria, as well as yeast and viruses. All of these micro-organisms form biofilms which allows them to evade your body’s immune system as well as some anti-biotics and antiFungals. The great thing about it is that it seems to do this while having a neutral effect on beneficial commensal bacteria like bifidobacterium and lactobacillus. You may want to try the mastic gum even if your test came back negative for h pylori

If your problem is a true Candida overgrowth then you should look into Lauricidin , or Monolaurin. Coconut oil contains lauric acid, which your body converts into monolaurin. It was discovered by scientists looking into the components of breast milk. From the ages of birth until 6 months you have very few commensal bacteria in your gut to function as an immune system. The lauric acid in breast milk has strong anti-microbial properties to prevent you from getting infections. This extract is extremely potent against Candida as well as certain bacteria and viruses. Like the mastic gum, it should have very little effect on you beneficial commensal bacteria. Amazon carries it. Oregano oil extract has similar qualities. I have since added both of these to my supplement stack and it has helped tremendously.
Just because I had h pylori doesn’t necessarily mean that it was causing my problems. Perhaps it was Candida or another bacteria that relies on biofilm for its defense. If I were you I would definitely experiment with those supplements a bit.
In terms of diet, the best diet you can follow to lower inflammation in the digestive tract as well as the rest of the body, is called the low FODMAP diet. It reduces certain carbs that can cause inflammatory problems.
If I were you I would encourage you bto experiment with those things.g

Saw palmetto helps lots of people with that. I've some success with this (2 in the morning, 2 at night): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009TUKSO - which combines saw palmetto and a few other supplements thought to help.

This also helps me, but I notice the impact sort of wears out after a while... so now I take it for two weeks (2 in the morning, 2 at night) and then cycle off of it for two weeks. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001F0R0DY

Good luck!

it's too expensive for what it is. instead i take those two which, when combined, gives you the exact same content but much cheaper. And yes, it works marvels:

Find a pelvic floor PT. Some urologists don't even mention them. Some will. Depends on the doc. Either way, find one, either in your medical network or private ones. If you find one in your network, ask/tell your doctor to refer you to that one. If they won't go to another doctor. Or...not sure where you are posting from, but there are private ones to. I never knew that until I looked...go figure. You may be surprised. Good luck!!!

Read Pelvic Pain: The Ultimate Cock Block by Dr. Susie Gronski. It and she is the no bullshit, straight to the point perspective on pelvic pain. Honestly, do it. It'll help get your mind right.

And...stay off the internet. Ha.

I went to a urologist and went through a few cycles of anti inflammatory and anti bacterial medications. They had no effect. I'm seeing a specialist in prostatitis tomorrow after school. Hopefully he can get me some answers. I was also referred to this book by someone else here to see improvement.

And regarding coping for me its hard. My pain is like a 5/10 perpetually. It is sometimes overshadowed by all my other perpetual pain though. Not to get overly personal but ALL of my sexual interests are pretty much cut off because of this, as I rely on my prostate for my sexual pleasure. So I can't have or enjoy sex. Which sucks cause I've never even had sex before lol. I may sound really calm and collected but this actually makes me quite sad.

Well after so many doctors and so many antibiotics i found a doctor who i think of every single day because he introduced me to the wise anderson protocol and lent me the following book which is a must read for everyone with chronic pelvic pain.

a headache in the pevlis

After a year without pain i sent an email to dr Wise thanking him. I never got a response but the next time i visited my doctor he told me that he had received an emotional email from one of his patients (me), and that they should finish the translation of the headache in the pevlis in my language (after i remarked in my email that the book is not translated in my language and many people i met in forums cant read English).

That sucks. But there is still a lot that you can do. I' d recommend you to read Headache in Pelvis first and start doing streching excercises described in this book at least 3 times a day, as well as diaphragmatic breathing and yoga in general. Try to sit as little as possible, and when you are sitting try to do it correctly in order to relieve strain on your tailbone. Fix your posture when you are walking. Avoid involuntary kegels.

After several weeks, you will be able to see whether there is some kind of progress or not. If you see some progress than you can be sure that you have some kind of PF dysfunction.

I've had prostatitits for 20 years, current age 36 (got it at 16).

For you, considering your age and that you're not interested in sex, I'd be inclined to give it my go ahead. On top of the inflammation, your prostate is going to also grow (it has already started to years ago, of course).

That said, before you get my endorsement:

-how long have you been suffering with this? Anything less than 3 years would be a no.

-have you explored all basic treatment options? That's includes: getting a culture done to test for bacteria (currently looking into microgendx testing for myself-- may be revolutionary in finding pathogens in prostate)

-have you done a long term stretching and relaxation program designed to combat pelvic pain syndrome, twice a day, for at least 6 weeks? You may have seen popular routines in this forum, including this routine:
https://youtu.be/J6tueuGlo1Q

-The new growing consensus of nutritionists is that a plant based, whole foods diet is the best diet for a variety of reasons, including reducing inflammation. Have you tried this for at least a month? Resource:

How Not to Die: Discover the Foods Scientifically Proven to Prevent and Reverse Disease https://www.amazon.com/dp/1250066115/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_.OVADbFPSRGHN

-have you tried twice daily internal prostate massage? I do it twice daily, without which I wouldnt be able to function. Would simply have to pee top often, but its quite manageable with doing it.

-have you gotten an MRI done of your lower back including tailbone to check for nerve pathway issues

-have you seen an osteopath to check your spine and pelvic alignment for nerve blockage issues

-have you tried regular deep tissue massage in the pelvic area by a trained practitioner who's familiar with your condition

If you have tried all of the above, or have tried at least some of the above but refuse to try the rest, then I say go for it considering your age (it's just going to get worse when adding in the inevitable BPH) and lack of desire for sex.

If you do it and end up finding you still have pain, you'll know you didnt properly explore the above treatment options because that'll mean your prostate was fine, but you had surrounding nerve/tense muscle problems that caused your prostate to be inflamed.

Edit: I'll note that light incontinence will be the lucky end of the spectrum. You're not elderly but you're getting up there my friend, and with your age you may end up with medium to full on incontinence. I'd advise getting into very good shape with immaculate nutrition prior to the surgery to maximize your healing phase post surgery. It's all about how well it heals in the following months that will determine your quality of life afterwards.

I buy the NootropicsDepot one - here's a link to it on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HFN5Q3A - you can get it for a bit cheaper on the website https://nootropicsdepot.com/palmitoylethanolamide-pea-400mg-capsules/

Lots of studies for it in pain, seems to help in many cases.
