Unless you find some way to build an automatic scanner, or purchase a professional business class one, or buy a $430 semi-automatic one, there isn't any way to automatically scan a book.

Your best bet is to go to a library and use their scanner. It'd probably be easiest to do it in increments of like 30 minutes each day. I had to copy a workbook for a class from a library (to save $150) and it took awhile but was worth saving the money.

It really depends on the company. Most CS-Oriented companies will probably ask you questions about code, data structures, and algorithms. For these, I would recommend looking into a book called Programming Interviews Exposed. If you look hard enough, you can find a PDF online.

Other companies might ask behavioral questions. For these it would be best to recall a few teamwork or project situations you've been in and what happened. The companies that ask these questions are usually looking for answers in the STAR format (Situation/Task, Action, Result). Some examples would be "Have you ever worked with a difficult team member? How did you handle it?" or "Tell us about a time when you faced adversity in a project. How did you overcome it?"

You can definitely find tons of example interview questions by Googling around. If you interview isn't for a while, you can also go to the CCO and do a mock interview. I've never done one of those, but I'm sure they're helpful.

Just redid the math its $8, 190/24 is 190/24=7.91666666667, and I'm not trying to make a profit I just want people to get cheap engineering books and make sure I don't have 24 of them. On Amazon engineering pads are around $14-15 so around %50 of normal price I thought is cool. I'll edit the post.

Some PC builders used to put large expanding-foam bags inside already built systems (with graphics card and cooler installed) which would fill all the spaces and prevent anything from moving. Supposedly it was very successful, or so I've heard.

I use a couple Backblaze Pods stocked with 3 TB drives, though I'm trying to consolidate and I'm moving towards SuperMicro's Super Storage Server 6047R-E1R72L (72 Bay) stocked with 6 TB drives.

I used to use Windows Server OS, but then switched to FreeBSD (though I'm also considering FreeNAS).

As for management, proper naming conventions and metadata works wonders. Toss in a script for both of those, and management is trivial.

Honestly though, I'm planning to leave my main setup at home, and start anew at Purdue.

For a coat, go for one with down in it such as from patagonia. http://www.patagonia.com/us/product/mens-bivy-down-jacket?p=28322-0-GLSB

For boots, go for one marked as snow boots from brands like merrel.

Also, get a nice pair of wool gloves and wool beanie, can get lot of places.

Outside of the legal options, may I also suggest you purchase some pepper spray from Amazon for your personal protection? Obviously don't use it unless attacked, but I think it's a good idea for everyone to carry this on their person. You are allowed to carry it. My wife has this on her at all times.

For my Google mini, I used a USB and Ethernet-to-micro USB connector, and set it up first on a hotspot.

I rented on amazon last year, that book was 15 bucks or something.

Edit: okay, 40. Still not too bad though.

It needs to become socially acceptable to tell these people to move. Bikers should get a bell on their bike or something.

Only ten bucks.
