Hey! Glad to see you want to participate! And I have a few answers.
First, right off the bat, I don't want the CPF to be branded as a "defensive militia". It might leave a bad taste in the mouths of otherwise interested and patriotic people.
I want a nation-wide presence. This of course will naturally require the cooperation and dedication of several teams from each province who are as dedicated and serious as I am. My team here in Ontario (central Ontario specifically) is working on getting stuff up and running for at the latest Canada Day 2017. This is good enough for me, as being in Ottawa on the national holiday should draw plenty of attention. The end goal is to have 15 branches in each province by 2025.
As for the uniforms, proper uniforms will be fitted and distributed to all members. But this is far down the road (+5 years at least). For now, the uniform will consist of black cargo pants , a grey dress shirt , a yellow necktie, and your rank patches sewn to your collar, so we all look the same. Rank patches will be mailed to applicants upon formal registration (coming later).
Once again, the best thing anyone can do right now is be interested, so thanks for doing that! If you can get things rolling in BC, there might even be something in it for you.
