I have tears, what a beautiful story. Congratulations to your son on all his hard work and success! That’s amazing! My husband and I make Santa and reindeer tracks with a real deer foot(donated to us yearly by a hunting uncle) weird I know but I wanted it to be realistic 😂we mix mud(it’s usually pretty muddy/slushy in MI on Christmas) and put the tracks on wood floor from our front door to the tree where my husband leaves a gnawed carrot and cookie crumbs like Santa brought Rudolph in with him. Our daughter absolutely LOVES this tradition, she’s 16 now and still loves it. She’s never called us out on the rare Christmases when there isn’t any mud at all for Santa or Rudolph to step in either.

What you’re offing is wonderful and so generous. I am am already excited for the child wins this, what a wonderful surprise it will be for them! Lily’s dream gift is her very own chromebook/laptop book. We used to share a laptop but it bit the dust last year. It was so good to us for 12 years but if finally could handle no more and we had to retire it. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to replace it for her and now that we have so many medical bills it will be a few more years before it’s even a remote possibility. I’m fine without it as I can do everything I need for work and home on my phone but Lily needs something she can do homework on, like type papers, access her teachers classroom boards online. I can’t forget to watch all the YouTube videos she loves. She really likes to watch cooking videos yet she doesn’t like to cook, I think its a bit strange but it’s a lot better than what she could be watching online! She’s been really great about utilizing the library at school for the last year with minimal complaints. It’s would make her decade to have one that’s all hers. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas!

This is awesome ❤️❤️❤️ thank you❤️❤️

I would like a book for my mom. She has been rock my entire life but definitely since I got sober on 3-6-16. She is a social worker so a book about helping others would suffice.

Edit: I don’t know what kind of art that would be when folding books. A heart maybe? Just the word mom maybe? The word caring?

To spoil myself I would choose this off of my wish list to hand up all the beautiful post cards I have gotten from Reddit.

Funny story? My SO and I were at an AA meeting tonight and we went to pray at the end of it and he RIPPED a fart in the middle of the prayer. He started cracking up laughing, but needless to say not many people found it funny. He apologized and explained he thought he could hold it until he walked outside but dang! I mean, in the middle of prayer!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣 I laughed so hard my side hurt.

i've seen book folding before and have NO IDEA how you guys do it, but it all looks so beautiful! i'd like to enter to win one for my stepmother. it's hard to shop for her because she's very simplistic, and buys anything she needs, but she definitely deserves a unique and awesome gift! she loves dolphins so i would choose that if i won.

i'll enter myself as well just because i'm here, and it's cool to say spoil me! :) i would love this hat because it's adorable and the company has a good rep for comfort and warmth with their products. thank you!

Oh my goodness... This is my kind of contest! Even before I ever had kids of my own, reading has always been the number one priority with any children I worked with (I was a nanny).

As soon as I found out I was having a baby, I was all about the books. My baby shower was a book baby shower, asking for books instead of cards so I could start his library.

His birth announcement pictures were all about the books. His nursery is book themed (with a touch of woodland animals). Since day one, we have been reading to him and letting him read to himself. Charlie LOVES BOOKS!

Of course, all of those pictures are from when he was not able to go grab a book by himself. Now he is 16.5 months and will gladly sit and read by himself at any time of day. Even when he's supposed to get in the bath...

As you might expect, his wishlist is full of books I want to read him.

Here is a video of him last week. I was spying on him with his baby cam, and just loved his little reading process. He did this for about twenty minutes, getting books off the shelf, reading them on his chair, then putting them back. :)

I guess what I'm trying to convey is that if we won this contest, the books would be well used and well loved.

As for the other part of the contest- what books would I recommend? That is a very loaded question...

I guess, on the 3 year old end, I would recommend The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore. It was actually adapted from an Oscar winning short film. It's a book about books, and the journey they can take you on throughout you life. The art is captivating, and the story is magnificent.

Moving on to the older child, I would have to recommend My Side of the Mountain. It's a classic book about coming of age and independence. I find this is a good book to gift a 8-9-10 year old reader, as it is one that will really immerse them in an adventure they want to relate to.

Since my final book would also have been "Le Petit Prince" (LOVE the French version too!), I will defer to The Giver. It seems like such a gimme, but it really is a book that every child should read.

I know books are available for free at the library, but, like you said, there is something different about owning your own. I understand if I am precluded from this contest on the grounds that we already have "enough books", but in my world, there are never enough books. Also I really wanted an excuse to share all his cute baby book wall pictures!

Thank you for this fabulous contest!

TL/DR: I'd love to enter my son Charlie in this contest. We love books! :)

Thank you for such an awesome contest.
Interesting fact:i had scarlett fever at 32 weeks pregnant. I didnt even know it still existed and thought nothing of the rash until an elderly lady came in and told me i needed to go to the hospital then left. Had to give son meds to prepare for early birth and he was born 2 weeks later. I am still so thankful for her to come into my store that day. ♡♡♡♡

spoil me! - i would love to have a cold brew coffee maker. Currently just have a regular coffee maker but my favorite is cold coffee and this would make my life easier. But really would love anything from my wishlist. As moms we tend to overlook our self and so little indulgences like this are very special to my heart. So thank you again for this contest.

I notice that you have a GTX 970 on your list.

If that's just a shooting for the stars item, then fair enough. I have a 980 on my list which I never expect to be bought.

In case you don't know though, that's really overkill for what you want since you're on a budget. Even the GTX 760 is more than is needed, though it'd make a nicer machine. Most modern games can actually run decently on a HD 6870 or better, though not necessarily on the best graphics settings, but as well as they would run on a 360 and usually better. Could be an idea to add more options for GPUs.

I usually see the two you've chosen touted as particularly good ones though, on /r/pcmasterrace and similar subs for really high end gaming.

That's a really nice CPU! I'm surprised you got a fairly high-end CPU, then a graphics card which really isn't for gaming at all. Both and GPU and RAM seem to be the issue. Most games these days require about 4GB RAM. Some really new ones (and an older Call of Duty) require 6GB+.

I'd also suggest adding a budget keyboard as an option if your current one is missing keys. You've only chosen gaming ones, but even something like this would work and be better than the current situation. You don't need a gaming keyboard for gaming, as nice as some are (and some are just regular keyboards with 'Gaming' slapped on them, maybe a design feature and a price increase). It'll be nice if you get the more expensive one, but often gifters have limited budgets, so options are good.

As you seem to have signed up today, I'll also point you towards /r/lowendgaming - you can find game suggestions that should work on your current PC if not upgrading.

Anyway, those are just suggestions. Feel free to ignore.

Thanks so much! Just wanted to make sure. Also, your story is so beautiful, I teared up a bit! What a lovely family you have! <3

Kay (7) loves singing. She's believes she's a princess, & can sing to solve any problem. lol She sings Frozen songs at least a couple of times a week, since 2015! At this point, everyone in the house knows every word to every song. xD She really wants a karaoke machine.

Eugene (6) is recently getting into video games, particularly Minecraft. He's also loved cars since he was little(r). He has a bunch of little Hot Wheels that we got from the dollar store, & he'd be so excited to get a track for his cars.

Little Lizzie (4) is obsessed with Minnie Mouse. When we asked her what she wanted for Christmas, she said "Minnie." Then we asked if there was anything else she wanted. She said "Pink Minnie." lol She also loves to play with my old play food from when I was a kid. She would be thrilled with this Minnie Mouse play kitchen.

Asking mainly for Kaleope and Kevin. Not sure if I can be gifted for Joely so asking for a second opinion. There was someone trying to buy them more, but it didn't go through for some reason. Technical error I guess. So Joely does not have the thomas container (it was marked purchased) and an item it said Kaleope had, a puzzle, she did also not receive. I deleted received items because I thought I was supposed to, but you can check the comments posted and I can send any order #s I have so you can check those if necessary. Just making it clear so you know I didnt lie. I didn't see anything in the rules about not deleting purchased items and I didnt know at first that they came off the list or showed on their own that they were bought. I am mainly worried about Kaleope since she is the oldest and more aware. I would also like to get something for Kevin if possible. Joely has only a couple small wishlist items but he also did get gifted that communication device so Im not sure if I should be gifted any regular toys or anything for him or not. Is the original price important? It was gifted used, but it is very expensive to purchase. If not he only has 3 items even with the device. I dont want anything for myself or Sylar obviously because we have too much as is. I didnt even expect to win the other things. I entered for fun and won. Thank you for this. xo Happy Holidays.

I would like to enter my girls. My twins are turning 8 and my youngest is turning 6. They’re obsessed with Barbies and playing house. My youngest has been asking for a Barbie dream house for a year now and I keep telling her that I’ll add it to her list. However, the Barbie dream house is expensive for such a small size. I found a doll house that works for Barbies on Amazon that is bigger in size and is MUCH less money but I’m stroll trying to figure out how to make it work to make their dreams come true. Here is one I found and here is another I found.

I’m entering my girls because they’ve been through hell these last two years and they’ve not complained at all. One of my twins is going through some health issues right now and is looking at surgery. I would love to make their dreams come true this year and get them the thing they can only dream of.

Thank you for considering my girls. I hope you guys have an amazing holiday season.
