I used to play rhythm games for long periods of time, a lot. One time I did a 40 hour marathon challenge (with a few naps), so when it comes to vision, blinking, and such, I can understand a concern.
Foremost what has had the greatest beneficial effect for me was using a nightlight filter. A real one- ones that require root for to install for app permission or the built in ones for both iOS/Android. There are a couple issues with this though. First, it's something you'll have to adapt to. You'll likely hate it at first as with most people. Second, for rhythm games in particular, there will be a small (within ms) screen delay). Huge issue if you hit notes primarily through your visual senses. Personally for me, with SIF I don't have much issue because my.reflexes are mostly internal rhythm judged. Besides, I have -26ms offset and the "judgement" line for this game is already so off from center.
On Android, rooted CFlumen on a proper phone does not have latency as I have personally confirmed. However, the colors are not as accurate as F.lux (which is probably the best filter out there). I haven't tested iOS night light so I can't confirm if there's latency or not.
Anyways, I'm off on a tangent right now; my apologies. For vision/eyes, I drink a single gulp of water after every song; and blink a bit right before a song starts. Pretty simple so and I'd recommend anyone make it a habit.
Vision doctors claim that for around every 20m or so, look in a straight direction at something (I believe 20ft) away for 20 seconds making sure you blink often during this period. You can also do 30ft/30s.
Another very helpful change I made was adjusting screen brightness to levels around my surrounding enviornment. Generally, the method I use is to have the brightness as low as it can, and make small steps up until you can just barely begin to see stuff. I also do this in a similiaf fashion with Flux, except instead of brightness, it is with ambient color temperatures.
I also use eye drops, but I'm not sure how effective it is. I don't want my eyes to rely on them. However when I do use them, I drop them into an eye, look at 4 corners of that eye, blink a few times while in process, and then repeat for the other eye. Afterwards, I repeat the exact same process with both eyes open at the same time
As for supplements for healthy vision, I still need more research on that. Omega fish oil and Vitamin A? I don't remember. I've tried this in the past. However since there are so many factors contributing to healthy vision, it was hard for me to evaluate
Warm towel on your face helps a bit.
I think what can help the most is to simply do something else temporary that doesn't require narrow vision. Like looking at the sunset is a good one because it's kind of a mix between a couple paragraphs posted above. Helps your eyes non-tunnel as well as helps your brain recognize changes of natural color temperatures.
Anyways that's all I can think for right now. If you are having hard stress on your eyes mid song make sure you're breathing as fluidly as much as the amount of mental pressure you are projecting, if that makes sense.
Oh also, SIF deals primary with colors and shapes during gameplay. Make sure to read text on frequent occasions during the week. This may sound like I'm pulling stuff out of nowhere, but believe me on this one, if you can.
Also one more- good posture. Try to maintain good eye level on your phone. Honestly though, one should aim for good posture not just for eyes, but all your other muscles as well (this includes a good symmetrical grip on your phone as well.)
Here's another one. If you have a lousy phone, I'd prioritize getting one that can maintain stable 60 fps Often, you don't notice lower framerates than intended until you experience the difference yourself.
Oh, here's another one- glasses/contacts. You generally don't want to wear your glasses all the time (although this is debatable between Optometrists).(Contacts you should never wear 24/7 unless they are designed particularly for it). Don't always play SIF wearing glasses. Split it into sections like, half of it with, and the other half without. In my biased opinion, I'd try to play without glasses as much as possible until my natural vision within phone distance becomes just as good as with glasses.
Y'know, it's kinda obvious that you could find an answer on /r/LoveLive, but I'll help you out anyway. :3c
There's different versions of the 1st Live footage - Blu-rays and DVDs exist for each day separately, along with the monster package of the Blu-ray Memorial Box. AFAIK most people are opting for this last one because it includes the following:
Sites where you can ship this directly (rather than using a middleman) include AmiAmi, CDJapan, and Amazon Japan. You can also buy this from overseas retailers, but since direct shipping options are available, I'll mainly cover those. I'm going to be linking to the Memorial Box BDs, by the way, but you can navigate your way to the solo BDs or DVD versions of 1st Live through them if necessary. Or just skip to the end of this guide for links. :)
1. CDJapan: X
Their price is listed as "18000yen (19440yen Tax incl. in Japan),
US $164.35", which is the standard price for the Memorial Box. CDJapan tends to have merch up the fastest.
2. AmiAmi: X
At the time of writing, the price for the Memorial Box is ¥15,500 (I assume this figure is before taxes...?). AmiAmi is a little slower than CDJapan at getting merch up, but on the other hand that 20% discount sure is nice.
3. Amazon JP: 1, 2
The first Amazon version (which has "【Amazon.co.jp限定】" in the title) comes with bonus items:
At the time of writing, it costs ¥19,440 (before taxes).
If you're not interested in the extra stuff and just want the memorial box, you can go with the second version I've linked above, which costs just ¥14,697 pre-s&h and is thus the cheapest option.
Note that the longer you wait, the more the price will go up - when I placed my pre-order on Amazon back in mid-August, it was ¥13,386 plus ¥950 shipping & handling for a grand total of ¥14,336.
Overseas retailers
I'm not even gonna bother covering this fully because direct shipping options are available, plus the bonuses that Animate and Gamers offer are pretty much Japan-exclusive and have already expired (i.e. pre-orders had to be made by mid-July). If you're interested in checking out some limited-edition merch in the future, prep the proxy service of your choice and head on over to the /r/LoveLive merch guide for links.
Sources: /r/LoveLive thread for the 1st Live BD, comment about the Amazon JP special edition box on another thread.
tl;dr: Check the first source for basically all the links you need (the AmiAmi link is in the comments because as stated before, AmiAmi is a little slower at posting merch). It also includes links to the non-Memorial Box BDs and DVD versions of 1st Live. Feel free to browse the LL subreddit in general for all your merch needs.
Rock Maki would be easier, due to the more basic nature of the costume. Most of the items could be found via thrift stores or local places. A suggestion for the pattern on the arm
It's very cheap, easy and fun! Particularly for this design, where you can just type up the words and print them at the appropriate size. For the weathered look, using a sponge will make it look more grunge-y.
Red skinny jeans will probably be a little easier to find that red plaid punk pants, but worth looking around. Other than that, you'll need a long pink t-shirt, button down white shirt, a plain blue neck tie, and a black cardigan. (Like this one, maybe?) Or similar. Buy a size up if you want the baggy look, but a sleek look will look cool too!
Absolutely invest in a wig, it'll make your cosplay a lot more fun and polished. A lot can be found on ebay already styled, make sure to read the user reviews. And if you have a big head, be extra careful and read reviews. (I have a big head and I tend to get my wigs from Arda or Epic Cosplay just to avoid the difficulty. :P But it isn't necessary to invest that much)
Consider your skin tone when picking a red wig too. (Here's a wikihow with the basics of determining your skin tone)[http://www.wikihow.com/Determine-Skin-Tone]. At least for me, it always feel a little safer to choose a darker/maroon-ier red rather than a bright tomato red. It photographs nicer and looks a little more natural. I usually also wear foundation or at least concealer when wearing any red/pink wig, because at least for my skin it emphasizes any blemishes. (Am girl, tho. If you aren't comfortable wearing concealer, it's all good! Do what makes you feel most comfortable. Cosplay is there to have fun with!)
This is a link to an Amazon page that has a variety of scrolls. That's where I got the Maki one. It shipped pretty quickly (I think they give a huge estimate, because I got mine like 3 weeks ahead of when they said) and it's pretty good quality in my opinion. Would recommend
If you're an amazon prime member, this actually looks to be quite a good deal if you only need a temporary substitute. If you scroll down and look at the "compare to similar items" section, you can check out other tablets in the same price range.
The thing to keep in mind is software version. Android is currently up to 7.0, and this tablet is running 5.0. If I recall, SIF doesn't support under 4.0 anymore. This is important because if you pick up a tablet running Android 4.0, it might not be able to run SIF after whenever the next SIF update is.
I read your other comment, and if you prefer iOS and aren't actually looking towards an android device, I'd honestly recommend just keeping your money in your pockets. It's honestly not worth picking up a low end device if that's not what you're specifically targeting.
Just my 2 cents, but ultimately your decision in the end. Best of luck~
Buy yourself some rubberized shelf liner. It's lightweight but pretty grippy. Does a great job of preventing my phone and/or tablet from sliding all over the place.
What's a good Android Tablet to use now? I heard Samsung Galaxy S2 is good here's a link But I'm not sure if that's true.
Good to hear, thanks for the input! I'm getting this one off Amazon so I hope it doesn't cut down on the sensitivity +_+ https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01415QHYW/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=AG8AYSVS7E5IO&psc=1
Show questions:
1 - Oh boy, here we go:
Keep in mind they have a lot more music than what the anime shows.
2 - Only 2 seasons. 2nd season finished and movie was announced earlier this summer. Still no details yet.

These make watercolors a lot more approachable. I've even gotten people who don't draw/paint at all to play with watercolors thanks to them.
I always play with anti-slip mats. I'm doing fine with slide notes on sukufesu or deresute.
I can't wait for this album to come out in less than 2 weeks.
For anyone interested in ordering a copy: limited edition and standard (CD only).
Ah I believe you are right. I got my colors mixed up. Your box should look like http://www.amazon.com/Weiss-Schwarz-Volume-English-Booster/dp/B015QVLN4Y
If you're talking about the upper middle, it's the Blu-ray collection of Season 1 of the anime. Amazon link if you're interested.
