I got this wrap last week https://www.amazon.com/Baby-Wrap-CuddleBug-4-Postpartum/dp/B00OJVNSFA and it's really great and easy to use. The ergobaby is too big for a newborn even with the insert. She doesn't like it. She loves the wrap though and sleeps the whole time she's in it!

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N1S7B60/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_wfAWzb10HY1CE This night light. It's rechargeable. You just tap it and you can dim it. Also has two light settings. A warmer light and a whiter light. Perfect for all those night feeds!

What else... A billion burp cloths. Mats for the changing pad so we don't have change the cover as frequently. Thicker receiving blankets for swaddling rather than the muslin ones. They're so much easier to swaddle with because they're smaller and thicker. The muslin cloths are good to have around for other things though.

That's all I can think of for now besides the obvious stuff.

Ohhhh me me!!

I have this dress in a large. I am currently about 165ish lbs, 5 foot 1, with large (DDD?) breasts. I love it, and look amazing in it. I wear a shrug with it to work to cover the racer back.

I also have this one also a large, and while it's a little long I also love it.

This one I also have in a large, and I would say it's the one I like least. You can see the color of my bra through it. Maybe in a darker color or larger size it would be better.

So far I have not had to return anything.

Hmm, we also have a large dog (100lbs) who will be sleeping in the room with us. DD will be sleeping in a pack n play at first which is pretty large and sturdy and just a bit taller than the pup is so I haven't been too concerned, the pack n play will also be beside me which is on the other side of the room from where pup sleeps.

Could you use half of the play yard to just surround it on one side? (not sure if that makes sense) Or something like this?

Edit: Also no judgement for wanting your doggies in the room with you. Our dog gets really stressed out being separated from us, so its best for all of us for him to sleep in the room with us. The kitties on the other hand, they got kicked out of the bedroom when we found out I was pregnant so they could get used to it :) lol.

Sorry that sounds frustrating. I love to do other things, but I do feel like walking and squats are the ultimate pregnancy exercises. This is also a super great DVD https://www.amazon.com/Suzanne-Bowens-Toned-Prenatal-Workout/dp/B008X7JBPM maybe try dvds from the library or I've noticed Amazon prime video has a few things too?

I got some compression thigh highs for flights and exercise even before I was pregnant (I have bad veins, yay). The good ones are a bit pricey but so worth it. I flew with them when ~15 weeks pregnant, and it was even more worth it.

Also, I got a little soft shelf you can clip on the table in front of you to put your feet on. Best purchase i've ever made!! Idk if it would work with a huge stomach, but it was amazing at 15 weeks.

I'm registering for a monitor, and for now put down the Hello Baby. I didn't do any research...I just know that my friend used it with her baby, and I liked it! Haha. I do like that it is wireless.

We live in a small-ish place (1200 sq ft in the shape of a square, so not spread out), but I like that I can look in on the baby when she makes sounds and see if she's actually awake, or is just being a noisy sleeper. I think it'll help us not jump up to see her every time she makes a sound.

Plus, it'll be nice when we go swimming/hanging at family's/friend's homes and she's napping. We can hang outside without worrying about her being inside!

My personal opinion is to always bring water with you. Even more so because we are pregnant. For two reasons: 1) you don't want to actually get thirsty. Staying hydrated consistently will help with your performance. 2) if you suddenly get overheated you can spray the water over your head, face and neck.

I'm not a fan of carrying anything either. Someone suggested a camel back which is a great suggestion or you can get something small that doesn't feel like interfering. I'll leave a link below to what I've used that didn't feel like a pain in the ass. What I also like is that it has a little pouch where you can put energy chews which can help if you get a blood sugar drop and get light headed.

Just like normal, listen to your body, warm up first and enjoy it! You'll have to let us know how you like the belt! I've never got to talk to anyone who has used one.

Just finished [The Liveship Traders] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J7QKYZ4/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_s.KPzbCTZ7ZAK) which I absolutely loved!

I always recommend The Kingkiller Chronicles if you like fantasy, and Wool Omnibus (dont start with the prequels!!) if you like sci-fi. :)

Me too, I really like these for comfort and support. I'm a 36DD prepregnancy, and even with a good deal of enlargement, they are still my go to. Champion Women's All Day Sports Bra, 22W Black/Metal, Large https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00857SSKE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_2j7GybGMF3Y7V

Fisher Price makes a rock n play bassinet that someone bought us for our baby shower. That could be a better option because baby lays flat, and it's only a little bit lower than our bed so baby is closer. Our bedroom is teeny and with this bassinet it's a bit cramped, but not as cramped as with a Pack N Play. Also someone gave us one of those bassinets that goes into your bed so baby can safely co-sleep. Will something like that work?

u/Jenn215 · 2 pointsr/Septemberbumpers2017

Glad you posted this!! Some great reminders for STMs too! Staying hydrated is so huge. My husband was my dedicated water person- he made sure I always had water nearby. I would get insanely thirsty the moment my daughter latched (learned it's a hormonal thing). I got a 64oz mug similar to this one and it was wonderful. Stayed cold all day basically and I didn't have to keep refilling it.

Come to think of it, nursing bras are just regular bras, but with a special clip where the cup and the bra strap meet. This might be a worthwhile DIY activity to do before the baby is born. Thanks for the idea!

Edit: I found some nursing bra clips on Amazon! I'm going to convert some of my old bras into nursing bras. It beats the over-inflated price of nursing bras.

I am normally a thong wearer as well but these have been super comfy to sleep in or lounge around in, I love how low they sit in front so that they don't bunch up or have to be pushed down at all.
