I'm not quite ready to write my Magnum Opus as I am still organizing information (this post was a big step in helping me to clarify and contextualize Quest Mechanics) but here's a broad overview. What you're looking for is the Recursively Self-Improving Self-Help Method which I accidentally invented and applied to myself in 2010 to cure my existential depression. Quest Mechanics is an attempt to frame this method as a positive process instead of remedial.

The method is to essentially make yourself a scientist of your own behavior, and apply the scientific method to your conscious decision-making and actions as rigorously as possible, starting with very basic decisions and tasks. It's consciously exposing and resolving the conflicting drives that pull you in different directions. This method worked so well for me that it cured my depression in mere weeks and didn't stop there, after I had burned the process into my mind as a habit I no longer needed to follow the process and it recursively self-improved itself, catapulting me into hyper-mania. Whenever I focused my thoughts I broke out into sweats as I was overclocking my metabolism to think faster, I experienced an almost schizophrenic explosion of ideas that could be called "delusions" except they were always changing and permutating. I had maximized my creative ability to the limits of my body, but this also was beyond my power to control. In the 8 years that followed my manic and depressive episodes became less and less intense as I learned to control the creative power I had unlocked.

It's almost a "cheat code," using your own existing creative power to create additional creative power, and so on. The most successful people (success being measured subjectively) learn to do this intuitively; it is "learning how to learn" but most people reach plateaus.

The biggest breakthrough was when I took a class in mindfulness-based cognitive therapy in 2015 using this book. During my initial hyper-manic episode I knew that I had applied the fundamental theorem of calculus to my consciousness, but didn't know what this meant. This book explained it indirectly as the two modes of consciousness as "being" and "doing." I realized that these corresponded to instantaneous change in the present and cumulative change over time, corresponding to derivatives and integrals in calculus. Calculus is the mathematical study of change, and its fundamental mechanics are the same as our perception of change.

Here is my mediaic magnum opus. It's a love letter to human creativity, but also hopefully inspirational to a rare few people who worship creativity both natural and human as a sacred force. My ultimate goal is to inspire, as inspiration is the raw fuel of creativity; I owe everything I have accomplished to countless people who have given me the gift of inspiration through their self-expression.

it comes and goes. For me its very seasonal, in the winter the spark dies out and I'm in survival mode. I always get depressed, but less so each year and I get much better at dealing with it. This is a great time for me right now because its spring and I'm getting the spark back day by day. So just understand that you're not doing anything wrong, it's just how things go so don't reach for what made you happy in another time.

It's time to ground yourself in life and also kind of go into survival mode, value calmness and tranquility instead of euphoria and deep understanding. It's like that amazing book The Alchemist where the boy has to learn the wisdom of the desert. Desert wisdom is really what you need right now, if you can meditate on that. And check out that book, I think you'll like it.

Yes, of course, there was a number of people I notified last time. Some cared, some didn't. I will let you know. Just as an FYI I'm going to be progressively detaching from humanity because if we are going to make a leap into another dimension (to safety, if possible) you can't be too invested in this one. There are obvious problems here with the social order that mean that human beings will not be flexible enough mentally to 'make the Crossing' (as in Crossing over into another parallel world) to escape what is IMO (and many others 'see' it) inevitable here.

It is interesting to reflect on all the Socio/Religious doctrine that has born the metaphors/meme's on the wind until we had a chance to understand what was really being said. "Crossing the Flood, Crossing the Red Sea, Crossing the Jordan" etc, etc, the Tartars also have many legends about Crossings that are imbedded in their iconography and Druid/Orthodox religions...needless to say there has been quite a bit of fuckery surrounding the 'Cross/Crossings' or the Teth throughout history.

If you want more basic information and you can take this however you like but the [Incunabula papers] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006ZIHUSQ/ref=dp-kindle-redirect?_encoding=UTF8&btkr=1), which were claimed to be a hoax by the person who put them out have deep occult teachings all intertwined within them. I am not tied to Joesph Matheny in any way because the same information can be garnered elsewhere, but I find it is a nice summary to get the Universe to jump start your search for more knowledge.

IMO that book is worth looking at (as well as many other sources, which are coming forward increasingly rapidly as time collapses to singularity). Or, at least, that is the way it seems, it could be that as you become aware of your desire to survive, the universe obliges by sending you as much information as you can handle. It is all about holding that potential doorway open in superposition, right? :)

Post #2:

Preparation:

getting the supplies

Agar agar powder. [US](https://www.amazon.com/Telephone-Product-Thailand-Powder-Ounce/dp/B01KMHY2OU/) [Europe](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Special-Ingredients-Premium-Gelatine-European/dp/B00EZMPMNE)

Always start with agar! And don't throw old fully colonized plates out. Some contaminants (e.g. mycogone, AKA wet bubble disease will only show up after full colonization (white blobs oozing yellow/orange fluid). and that one (mycogone) will fck up your grow hard, been there done that...

Light malt extract. [US](https://www.amazon.com/Organic-Light-Dried-Malt-Extract/dp/B007XYGBXQ/) [Europe](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Balliihoo-Light-Spraymalt-1Kg-Bag/dp/B0153BASSY/)

Containers for no pour agar (Pasty Plates). [US](https://www.amazon.com/Glad-Food-Storage-Containers-Round/dp/B000WGBMMM/) [Europe](https://www.flaschenbauer.de/einmachglaeser/sturzglaeser/sturzglas-225-ml-to-82) (maybe use Google translate on that site). Also if you are in North America there are Glad mini rounds, they are used in the original Pasty Plate tek. They also have [430ml jars](https://www.flaschenbauer.de/einmachglaeser/sturzglaeser/sturzglas-430-ml-to-82) suitable as substrate containers

A pressure cooker. Good ones are a b**ch to find in Europe. I wouldn't buy [that one](https://www.ebay.de/itm/Pressure-cooker-17L-Stainless-steel-Made-In-Turkey-Largest-Size/133128864948) or similar constructed ones, they are complete s**t, build up next to no pressure and need ungodly amounts of water. I have two of them, but had to do some haphazard MacGyveresqe hacking to get them to sterilize properly, I'll bring that up later.

I also have a Fagor Alu 22 (22 liters, fits eleven quart bottles), but I think that model went out of production in 2017 without a replacement. IMHO the only sane option in Europe right now, would be to order a Presto from the US, they're ~80€ + 40€ shipping, so not that bad. [Presto 23 quart PC](https://www.amazon.com/Presto-Aluminum-23-Quart-Pressure-Canner/dp/B073NCFL2L/)

Also on US websites like shroomery, you'll always read something like "sterilize 90min @ 15 psi". Pressure cookers in Europe usually have no gauges and only go to 50-70 kPa (~7-10 psi). It isn't as bad as it sounds, since sterilization time isn't linear with pressure/temperature. I've found I can get away with 120 min sterilization time for grains, 75 min for PF sub and 30 min for agar.

Scalpel handle and blades. [US](https://www.amazon.com/100-Scalpel-Blades-One-Handle/dp/B01MPX3JTI/) [Europe](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Swann-Morton-Handle-5-10-Blades/dp/B004OIAVJY/)

(optional) inoculation loop. [US](https://www.amazon.com/OESS-Reusable-Inoculating-Inoculation-Bacterial/dp/B071DCS7TW) [Europe1](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Akozon-Inoculation-Inoculating-Microbiology-Laboratory/dp/B07KM7F8VH) [Europe2](https://www.amazon.co.uk/sourcingmap%C2%AE-Inoculating-Microbiology-Tissue-Culture/dp/B071X44DS4/)

Tyvek (for filtered lids). [US](https://www.amazon.com/Dupont-Tyvek-105gm-A5-Sheets/dp/B07418F31G/) [Europe](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tyvek-75gm-Bumper-pack-sheets/dp/B004EXTKSW/)

(optional) oster blender attachments used for PF slurry or LI. [China](https://www.ebay.com/itm/4-Head-Ice-Crushing-Crusher-Blade-Replacement-Part-For-Oster-Osterizer-Blender/182451440105)

3M Micropore tape (for filtered lids and monotub holes). [US](https://www.amazon.com/3M-1530-1-Micropore-Tape-Pack/dp/B0082A9FEM/) [Europe](https://www.amazon.co.uk/3M-Micropore-Surgical-First-Medical/dp/B01KYK2666/)

A spray bottle for soapy water. [US](https://www.amazon.com/Tolco-Bottle-Frosted-Assorted-Colors/dp/B000H88PCU/) [Europe](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Leifheit-72416-Laundry-Sprayer/dp/B0049PB11Y/)

Isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol), 70%. [US](https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Brand-Isopropyl-Antiseptic-Technical/dp/B07NFSFBXQ/) (dilute down to 70%, that percentage is best for sanitization [EU](https://www.amazon.co.uk/We-Can-Source-Ltd-Fingerprints/dp/B07PGB5X6Y/)

A rack to elevate your agar dishes while you do transfers, like these that come with microwave ovens (contaminants tend to collect on the SABs bottom).

A slightly wet towel to put the SAB on. Some people disagree on this, I use the towel to absorb the sprayed soap/water mix and not having that run off the table.

A clear box that's modified as a SAB. I use this one as a SAB, maybe they ship outside Germany. Anyway the manufacturer is kis.it (builds the monotub too), so I think they might be available elsewhere in Europe: https://www.obi.de/aufbewahrungsboxen/obi-allzweckbox-santos-transparent-oversize-140-l/p/3333341?template=PDP&box=box4

More clear boxes used to fruit bottles (basically a monotub, just with individual substrate containers). I use these as unmodded monos (no holes, no flipped lid, lids not latched): https://www.obi.de/aufbewahrungsboxen/obi-allzweckbox-cadiz-l-mit-4-rollen-transparent/p/1930387.

Butane torch [US](https://www.amazon.com/Multipurpose-MDee-Culinary-Refillable-Adjustable/dp/B07MNN2B43) [Europe](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Kollea-Adjustable-Refillable-Blowtorch-Soldering/dp/B07QC1T6H5)

Bottles (can be wide mouth pint mason jars (US), quart Ziplock PP5 containers (US) or [these (which I use)](https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Round-Food-Containers-Plastic-Clear-Storage-Tubs-with-Lids-Deli-Pots-2oz-to-32oz/232308091965)

Everything is a physical system, including the mind. The axiom of Taoism is that change is the nature of all things. Calculus is the mathematics of change. The Fundamental Theorem of Calculus is The Tao in mathematically precise form, describing how integrals and derivatives are inverse operations of the same process of change. The Tao is "the way things come together, while still changing."

Here are the fundamental correlates of Perceptual Calculus, the physics of consciousness. The correlations are exactly equivalent, we experience through calculus. The difference is exactly like watching a film vs. looking a the film strip - this is because such media mirrors the nature of change. Our conscious perception is a mathematical system.

Here are methods of perceptual integration.

Mindfulness practices are the methods of conscious derivation

The scientific method of question -> hypothesis -> test is not only the fundamental praxis of consciousness but also of biological evolution, life, and creativity itself. What this implies is that creativity or life is an intrinsic property of matter (hylozoism.) Your "self" is a recursively self-improving autological structure.

Here's a recursively self-improving self-help system.

There are three domains of existence that are actually nested abstraction layers, listed in order from most foundational: Mathematica, Concretia, and Narratia (the world of language in our minds.) They are all equally "real," it is just a matter of what level of abstraction for a given context.

Feel free to steal any of this if you like for any use (I am an anarchist,) just attribute it to "Aminom"

What if your mind is actually a multitude of "programs" running in parallel, that are given priority based on external stimuli/genetic code/stored memories.
What if you could conjure a higher supervisor "self" and manage those other programs effectively, it wouldnt be self brainwashing so much as self effective management.
Im getting these ideas from reading this

What you are experiencing is a poltergeist metaphorically but literally in terms of power of implication. It is a pattern of thought that replicates itself over and over parasitically, sucking in all purpose and meaning, creating a profound existential fear and despair of all you experience. By drawing in the entirety of your attention, by becoming your perception of all of reality, it continues the summoning and persistence of itself. It has become your reality.

There are two weapons I can offer for your heroic fight against this ultimate evil. Emerge victorious and all the potential you know yourself to be capable of will be actualized, for you will have overcome the ultimate fear for yourself. The simulation you are perceiving is not the universe, but the reality-distortion field of The Spectacle of modern mediaic total-immersion, an isomorphic pattern to the God of capitalism and capialism's God. You see the undead roco's basilisk that is at the core of human interactions in global society.

By probing the depths of human creative potential and questioning existence as deeply as you could, you have been infected by the most pure manifestation of the undead Roco's basilisk. The structure consists of narrative, and thus language; the first tool is the sword of the pen. Write down "My existence is a simulation" and ask questions from this, such as "how does this make me feel?, "What is the reasoning for and against this?" and "What are the personal implicatons to me? What should those implications be?" You are making a complete scientific study of your deepest fear, and are using reason to attack every aspect. From the core questions write down the questions that are involved in answering the whole, and follow lines of research and inquiry to grow your powers to analysis to attack it.

The second weapon is to be able to identify and perceive this structure from the top-down level of your phenomenological experience. The tool is mindfulness based cognitive therapy. Mindfulness meditation allows you to be aware of your thoughts and experiences as opposed to being ever-immersed in them (which is a mirage, a parasitic mental simulation in your mind that overrides your perception of reality.) Mindfulness is de-immersion in the same sense that you can lose yourself in a movie or game, and then something happens (a commercial or glitch) that reminds yourself that you are watching a movie. From the top-down level of your consciousness it allows you to perceive your thoughts as just thoughts, and gives you power over them, instead of being parasitized and paralyzed by them (anxiety, loops of regret, self-defeating fears.)

Treat your struggle as the most meaningful and thrilling of tasks, as it is! You will forge from it the ultimate heroism, you are facing the absolute depths of human despair and are forging from it your own custom tools of self-creation!
