start with just the brush, a good amount of dirt will simply wipe off suede and nubuck

if it's still there, use the eraser. use a nice eraser from a decent mechanical pencil. stay away from those hard cheap ones.

if you use an eraser, there will be a bit of flaking left over. use the brush to get everything going in the same direction.

this will take care of most dirt/dust ('dry')
here's a good price on a kit with both: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000IBIIFK/ref=dra_a_cs_mr_hn_it_P1043_104?tag=dradis-20

if it's more like a stain ('wet', like mud or grease), you'll need a cleaner like jason markk

and yea usually always recommend trying the products and tools to be sure it doesn't fade your materials.

IRIS USA, Inc. 586430 IRIS Easy Access Men's Shoe Box, 4 Pack, Wide, Clear https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LZOJIGB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_-fuLDb8W2JKEE

These are a size 12 and fit perfectly inside. I also have fit a size 13 high top dunk in there and the top of the tongue justttttttt touches the lid but it doesn’t hurt anything though. For the high tops you could order the “tall” variant which look pretty nice but I don’t have any of them since I mostly like Lows.

For 4 containers it is $30 compared to $57 for 6 containers at The Container Store.

https://www.amazon.com/Sharpie-Oil-Based-Paint-Marker-Medium/dp/B00KGCOZ9Y/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1517510249&sr

The white paint is next to identical compared to the white boost. Oil-based so it's water and fade resistant. Also, works great on boost because the material acts like a sponge and absorbs the oil.

Start by giving the midsole a thorough cleaning with acetone (nail polish remover) and cotton swabs. Then apply. Great for hot spots or full coverage.

Amazon. Someone else asked and being out of it because it’s late and I’m out of it I screen shot it, loaded it to imgur and pasted the link, lol. But here’s the amazon link:

> Clean your turtle doves with the crep kit

This kit?

> then buy sole protectors

Is the Crep one good? This one specifically.

Thanks!

I swapped these laces in and it looks good IMO. Had to break up the grey a bit and cream colored laces work pretty well with this colorway. I suppose I should post a picture

I used a fabric shaver when I had a pair to get rid of the lint on the sock liner. Very safe to use and works great.

u/aaaaaustinnn · 2 pointsr/Sneakers

Here it is. Obviously I'll go with a thicker and stained wood, but I had some extra wood laying around so I figured it would help clear up my floor. These are the brackets that I used.

u/Nafarious · 2 pointsr/Sneakers

I use one of these

it stores my shoes pretty well but I have outgrown it, it is now 100% full of sneakers... I have a problem.

Anywho it is a great rack for shoes! The dropfront boxes people get from the container store are expensive and can break the clasp on them.

These are the women's Nike Free TR 6. Looks like $35-$40 is an average resale price for these.

I would recommend washing and brushing the shoes with Crep Protect and then buy a $10 white out marker for shoes. If the sole has been worn out, you should invest in some Parley Ultraboost', they are made from recyclable plastics. That way you can also help the environment!

Before you use any liquid based cleaner, try a suede eraser and brush kit.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01D1HU4N6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_GrXKAb5EVH0CB

Use the brush first to loosen up the material and get surface stains out and then lightly rub with the eraser to get the deeper embedded stains. If there is still discoloration left, use a cleaner like jmarkk or crep.

Suede brush?

Maybe something like this. Miscly Suede & Nubuck 4-Way Brush + Eraser - Premium Shoe Cleaner Kit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01D1HU4N6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_hlSLDbG3G8RMX

u/fpsdr0p · 3 pointsr/Sneakers

negative. check your local champs/finishline/footlocker and ask if they have a suede eraser for suede shoes. they should know what you're talking about. if not you can always check out NB's suede cleaning kit.

http://www.amazon.com/New-Balance-Suede-Cleaning-System/dp/B000IBIIFK

the eraser should have a side for suede and a side for nubuck. if you do decide to get it, the best way to clean suede/nubuck with the kit would be to brush > erase > brush again.

Yeah it says black because when the can itself is black haha. Its purple on he pic on amazon but when i got mine it was black

u/patcos28 · 2 pointsr/Sneakers

Crep Protect would be my recommendation. It’s $15 but it works well and lasts a while

u/drewrover · 1 pointr/Sneakers

Any particular one you would recommend?

I’m looking at getting this one: https://www.amazon.com/Miscly-Suede-Nubuck-4-Way-Eraser/dp/B01D1HU4N6

u/shtory · 1 pointr/Sneakers

Buy these for them. You'll thank me.

BIRCH's Oval Shoelaces 27 Colors Half Round 1/4" Shoe Laces 4 Different Lengths (37" (94cm) - M, Ivory) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J5Q0MBW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_g1SM5jDgempbJ

u/Renjayy_ · 4 pointsr/Sneakers

Yeah unfortunately they don't come out unless you paint them like stated before , here is the marker I use

u/AshtinKusher · 1 pointr/Sneakers

I wear a size 15 and I use the wide version of this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LZOJIGB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I turn the shoes on their sides and they fit. My Space Jam 11s poke out just a little but it basically still closes.

u/mister-bizarro · 1 pointr/Sneakers

Pick up one of those bar/brush sets (like this one http://www.amazon.com/New-Balance-Suede-Cleaning-System/dp/B000IBIIFK ) and try that out before trying any of the spray cleaners places sell. I've always had trouble with discoloration from the sprays.

Crep is ~$15 for a 5oz bottle and JM Repel is ~$17 for an 8oz bottle

Crep $3/oz, JM Repel $2.22/oz. /r/theydidthemath

Fuck all that, if I'm gonna do it I'll just do it right.

Brand | Price | Bottle Size | Cost/Oz
---|---|----|--
Crep | $14.37 | 5 oz | $2.87/oz
JM Repel | $16.72 | 8oz | $2.09/oz
Kiwi (Shoe) | $8.95 | 7.7 oz | $1.16/oz

  • [Tarrago High Tech Nano Protector](https://www.amazon.com/Tarrago-Hightech-Nano-Protector-Spray/dp/B003U47QBY/ref=sr_1_19? s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1498842954&sr=1-19&nodeID=7141123011&psd=1&keywords=shoe+protector+spray) | $9.69 | Written in Metric so idk ^^it's ^^8.45 | $1.15/oz *

All prices are when I checked it so if you're finding this later just do the $ amount/fl oz size of bottle.

Kiwi is the second cheapest and was vouched for by /u/thikthird.

Tarrago is the absolute cheapest (by 1 cent over Kiwi) and I have seen it vouched for several times, so if you got $10 pick Tarrago or Kiwi.
