If you're a fan of the games, I'd start with Sonic Genesis, simply because it follows the original games quite nicely in terms of level progression and style. Its nice to see the original 16BIT levels in nicely drawn comic art. This story was somewhat of a soft reset for the series so it's quite a good jumping on point. If that retains your interest, you can then choose to go back to see what lead up to the reboot or just keep reading on from that point.

Also, it doesnt hurt that you can buy it in a really decent looking hardback book

And tails was just a single figure. Knuckles and shadow were also singles but because of the clear sonic in the mix makes me think it was part of the double pack

I use to have them. They were sold at toys r us a lot and pegged warmed for a while. I don't think they are worth anything because they are still releasing sonic the hedgehog action figures. The one with the comic might be worth something due to the cancellation but not anytime soon

Alternatively you can get a Bluetooth controller for you phone/ tablet. I recently got myself a 8bitdo Zero controller so I can play emulated Mega Drive games on my tablet and it's brilliant. If you've large hands there are bigger versions available but at £10 it is totally worth it!

I'd be a little skeptical regarding the quality of the 2nd but it could be fine I dunno.

If you want the physical copy I could recommend the Archive books! Pretty small in size but beats reading them all on the phone which I did.

I moved to my own place last year and that made me reconsider all the comics I have. I had to put them all in one of those big black comic book storage boxes. And that made me realize that I'm good with issues and I switched to trades. Plus, trades usually include all the covers and I don't have to collect them individually.

Actually there is a collector's edition of Mania for PC. I managed to find one on Amazon too, just trying to decide if I'm willing to pay $125 AUD including shipping. I suppose it's not too expensive at that price.
