I have a J-ship scale with a 150kg/330lb weight limit. Thing works great for me, had it for years.

Also, the reason your hands are ripping is because you aren't taking care of your callouses. You need to shave them down with a pumice stone regularly so they don't stick out from your palm so much. Some people use a metal callous shaver but be careful--it's easy to go overboard. Most people who train hard will eventually rip a callous but it shouldn't happen frequently.

I use [Winnie's Rip Fix]
(https://www.amazon.com/Winnies-RipFix-1-5-oz/dp/B00QFRBP0Q/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1480445859&sr=8-1&keywords=rip+fix) on the rare occasion I rip a callous open and moisturize my palms with it once or twice a week in the winter.

I bought this for my gym a while back. It is surprisingly sturdy.

> What do you guys do when you're feeling the grind?

From a guy that's been classified as morbidly obese for half his life, and loves to squat, knee sleeves & stick roller helps me a TON. I use this one and go crazy on my quads which always seems to help with any knee pain. It squeeks as it rolls which can get a little annoying but eh.

Edt: added a &.

I made these so I can pull from 13 or 18 inches. I used 2x6s for the vertical part and 2x4s for the horizontal part. I had those metal braces from a shitty squat rack I had but someone (I think maybe u/bparsonage) made a similar set up with more wood instead of those brackets. If you do the math before hand you can get the pieces of wood cut to the size you want at home depot of lowes or you can do it yourself if you have a saw. Then you just need a drill and a 2" hole saw bit.

They probably used the wrong sealer. The ones we did recently have already seen some heavy action and are still beautiful. Super Seal 2000 is the stuff.

Why do you need a second dumbbell?

I got a couple of these set screw collars that are awesome for keeping the weights in place. They use a 1/4 inch hex key which is mildly inconvenient.

u/MythicalStrength · 7 pointsr/Strongman

Thoughts on zercher yoke to prep for a husacross carry event? I'm already doing keg bearhug carries and plan to bring in the sandbag too, but figured zercher yoke might answer the mail too. Anyone ever give it a try?

u/iLiftHeavyThingsUp · 1 pointr/Strongman

I bought some nordic lifting heavy duty wrist wraps the other day. 50% off. $20 total. Though they were on a flash sale at the time and actually got them for $13.

u/exlaxbros · 1 pointr/Strongman

BTW, if you don't have one already, theracane

u/bparsonage · 5 pointsr/Strongman

Can't say for sure, but most likely these.
