I just buy 5lb bags of smarties from Amazon instead of glucose tabs. According to some quick googling, a roll is 7g of carbs, across 15 tablets, so I'd think you'd be able to dial it right in if you wanted.

I always overtape mine from the start (and I use skin-tac under) and I don't have trouble keeping them stuck down. I've used a variety of different tapes, and my preference is either Simpatch or the patches from The Sugar Patch - both of them have adhesives that stay stuck to my skin really well, but it's a bit of trial and error to find what might work for you since everyone is different.
