Here's a link to earbuds with a microphone for less than $20 bucks and is Amazon Prime eligable. (they go for a little over $20 in Walmart)

I use these everyday for use with my iPhone. One pair has lasted me for over six months. I lose them before they break. They're extremely comfortable and noise cancelling.

So the first step is getting the controller to pc adapter, I have found one for a nice price here (you do not have to use that one, in fact you should be able to use any adapter, sadly there is no other way to do this without an adapter). The adapter should work right out of the box, the drivers should be preinstalled on your computer. There should be settings where you can change what gets controlled by the N64 controller. If it does not work right away, shoot me a pm and I will help yout get the software required to use the controller.

I used to get those same symptoms years ago, so I bought this

I just keep it near my computer and put it on whenever I play tagpro. If I play for more than a few hours at a time I still sometimes get tingling, but otherwise the brace has eliminated the problem.

And I still press the keys unreasonably hard to get that extra bit of speed.
