It's my pleasure! I jump at any opportunity to be able to talk about my favourite director and medium.

I'm actually an Animation student pursuing storyboarding/visual development in animated features. I took time off school to study and mentor under working professionals who have really given me the lay-of-the-land in production that have supplemented my college coursework. I'm currently studying at Harvard, where I've taken a few film classes in my department that delve deeply into analysis. I credit most of my analytic and critical film knowledge to Robb Moss and Eric Rentschler.

I wouldn't be exaggerating in calling Prof. Rentschler the pre-eminent G.W. Pabst scholar. His most well-known text is The Ministry of Illusion: Nazi Cinema and Its Afterlife. It's one of the books QT read that led him to correspond with Prof. Rentschler.

The first 65 pages are devoted to Reservoir Dogs with interviews with Quentin around that time period (before Pulp Fiction).

I'm talking about this original publication not the Revised and Updated version which devotes more time to his later films.

Thanks to foreign, H8 is about 100 million in the black minus marketing. I saw the road show and I am glad I did but I think it turned a lot of avg. movie goers off. For me the only theater was 40 minutes away. Hard for me to justify a second viewing until DVD.

In addition, I have a 60" at home. It is the rare film, that gets me to the theater these days and when I do I generally go to the local Draft house.

I just searched ‘yellow Hawaiian shirt’ and thought this one had the least amount of green/pink. But you can look around and compare for yourself. I feel like most people won’t know who I’m going as anyways so I can fudge it.

this is the version I have and the version i saw in theaters.

This. That disc came out late after people stopped buying discs, so many aren’t aware it exists. You can buy the original Grindhouse as shown in theatres on Blu-ray. It includes the trailers and fake theatre ads, just like when shown in theatres. It is missing the same scenes in Deathproof as well. It’s a riot.
