At least 5 hoodies/cardigans/sweaters Hoodies and sweatshirts are gonna be your most casual bet, followed by crew sweatshirts and thicker cardigans. Thinner cardigans and vnecks are gonna be more smart-casual additions to your wardrobe. Colours like navy, grey and dark grey are gonna be your best bets year-round.

At least 2 pairs of jeans* Gonna be the most used and versatile item in your wardrobe, stick to slim fitting jeans in dark washes and black for starters, then branch out into lighter washes. Avoid pre-distressed jeans like herpes.

At least 2 pairs of chinos** I suggest getting them in khaki (beige), earth tones, and grey or navy.
***
At least two pairs of shorts** Slim fitting, flat front shorts are the best option. At or slightly above the knee works best. Stick to lighter colours since you're mainly gonna be wearing these during the summer.

Before buying any clothes learn how clothes should fit.
Then look at the teen basic wardrobe guide in the sidebar.
Look at a lot of inspiration albums at MFA and figure out what you want to look like. There are some fashion sites like edwardshair.net which will help too. Build your wardrobe slowly, maybe one or two items at a time that way you won't suddenly come to school dressed weird and won't make as many bad purchases. After you have the wardrobe it's a whole other thing to wear the clothes right so check out MFA, look at albums, read the threads, and post in WAYWT. Cheers mate.
Edit: Cut down on some more stuff. Get the basics then expand by reading guides and looking for yourself.
I cut some of the things I don't like in the guide and the pricier or less nice options for simplicity.

The color you get shouldn't be based solely on what you like; the best thing to do is match your shoes with the majority of your wardrobe. For example, if you wear a lot of blue denim in the fall and the beginning of spring, then black leather might not be the best color/material for you. Also keep in mind that your shoes should match your belt. If you do wear denim (which, lets be honest, most teenagers do) then a lighter color would look better (it would give you good contrast). I would recommend CDB's in the 'Dark Brown' Color (which look more tan). But, like someone said before, CDB's aren't really winter shoes. I have friends who, in high school, regretted wearing CDB's because they were freezing their toes off. Get a pair of something like these or these combined with some good woolen socks like these and your feet will stay warm and dry.
Should probably go in cop or not but I don't wanna wait.
Should I get an SJ4000? It's a GoPro knockoff that's supposedly really great quality for the price. I can get the camera, case, helmet mount, two extra rechargeable batteries, and a 32 gb memory card for ~$130.
I mainly want this for cycling, as I've heard so many horror stories of cyclists being hit or any sort of stuff and only winning cases because they had footage of the act. Plus, I lead a relatively active lifestyle between rock climbing, cycling, swimming, soccer, frisbee, etc. I plan to do even more of this at college, too, so I feel like this would just be nice to have.
But then again, I am about to go into college so I really need to save my money. Or should I buy it for myself as a graduation present. Idk. Fuck me someone help me please
I'm constantly trying to keep my fits on point, even when I sleep. Hope it's up to par:

Got the shirt at a Gavin DeGraw concert. I never understood why my dad let me get an XL, but it's really comfortable combed cotton.
Pants r dockers and they got a sweet houndstooth detail that makes em that much more panty dropping worthy
Socks r Punto cashmere socks. Do yourself a favor boys and invest in a solid pair of cashmere socks. Well worth the money if ur girlfriend doesn't steal em.
Slippers r L.B. Evans Mens Loafers
My colors don't coordinate, sue me.
Be careful about H&M clothes, some of it is high quality, but some of it is really cheaply made. That button down looks a bit cheap to me personally and I would rather spend a bit more on a button down for formal occasions. but if you meant something geared for more semi-formal events then I think it works.
I really like Dockers Alpha khakis, which are cheaper on amazon. They basically run the same price as Levi's but sometimes can be cheaper and I think they look better. ive wore them to formal events and they look great. I just buy the same size as my Levi's 511s. the colors are pretty nice too. I have the colors new british khaki and steelhead (because school dress code fml)
If you go to cotton on, they have a lot of cheap clothes there. I buy cheap button downs from there and wear a shirt under them (not buttoned) to look more casual, but thats just me. I dont really mind sticking out that much. My school dress code is polos and khakis so i dont really have much off a choice.
I'm new to TeenMFA but I've been lurking MFA for awhile, first off, lose the vest. I'm a strong believer that vests can look good, but alas, I don't think it does here. And I also think a [tie](http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nMC8cMI-iWc/T6iT19OQMsI/AAAAAAAABUU/QqNUAzJt1y8/s1600/taylor-lautner-fitted-shirts-twilight05+(1) without a jacket can look good, but you have to be confident and the fit must be impeccable. I don't want anyone ending up like Milton
The shirt fit looks decent as I can't really tell with the vest, and I would lose the undershirt or pick up some v-neck undershirts.
Can't get a good read on the black jeans, they look a little green too? might be lighting. The shirt and pants are a little too monochrome for me. Maybe lighter shirts? or blue jeans?
Black converse are alright. I don't think the black jeans and black Cons would look good IMO.
You seem to have a decent idea of fit though which is key.
Awh shiet, my time to shine, maybe.
I'm a watchmaking student. I've said this in another thread around here. If you're looking for quality for a cheaper price, go for a Seiko 5 or a Citizen Eco-Drive, both series are awesome and offer a huge variety. If you're looking for something a tad bit more expensive, I recommend Victorinox, they're simply one of the best companies out there.
Streetwear watches are a very sensitive term, IMO. You can wear any watch you want and most of them will match your outfit. If you insist on wearing a "modern type of "streetwear" watch, like the rubber ones, which I think are utter garbage, go for it. I can't stop you.
I mostly wear this Victorinox and have a couple of other very reliable watches for different occasions.
Ask me anything, too, I guess.
Stop taking in sugar and drink more water, actually ditch everything besides milk and some juices for water. Gaining weight can burn a hole in your wallet depending what you get. Eating more vegetables and fruit help a lot. That's just me i gone the healthy way of eating since august 27 and have gain like 15 pounds. I'm going to start taking in http://www.amazon.com/Optimum-Nutrition-Serious-Chocolate-Pound/dp/B000GIPJ0M/ref=zg_bs_6973717011_2 and the 100% whey gold option to get bigger tho the serious mass only is going to last me 2-3-4 weeks and its around 45$ and is highly recommended for slim to skinny people trying to gain weight.
Yo, I really like the look of retro running trainers (NBs, Nike Internationalist) and they seem pretty fashionable too, but I (Mr no job) don't want to blow £50-£80 on some shoes I don't like. Here's my typical outfit, usually similar to this, but adding a hoodie or removing a shirt depending on the weather:

I think I've managed to narrow it down to a few pairs I like though:

Sorry about the huge links! Thanks in advance :)
Might be too small for most people, but I got the Kenneth Cole Risky Business messenger bag, and I'm very happy with it.
I haven't put it through too much heavy use yet, so I hesitate to recommend it too strongly, but it should be worth considering.
Opinions on cargos? Kinda interested in these from Levis or these from H&M. Comments? Inspiration albums? Anything would be awesome
Bass buckinghams? They have black but I'd go with Navy or brown since they're much more versatile.
CDBs/Bushacres are okay too, like the guy below said, it's debate. Nobody's going to really care.
-wear them with any kind of long pants. Good chukkas fit everything from biz caz to caz caz.
-I'll break down some options:
cheap tier: sigh Clark's Desert Boots in Beeswax, $120
mid tier: Cole Haan Winter Colton Chukka Boot, $228
expensive tier: Red Wing Heritage Men's Beckman Chukka, $320
I show them this picture. I usually use this and this, but today I used this gel, with this spray. The method I used today holds much better, but at first it gives my hair the look that you would expect from a gel.
I think he could use some Clarks Desert Boots here is a purchase Link Beeswax is the most versatile color. youre welcome
the shirt is too casual for a banquet. try getting an ocbd to keep it a bit casual, but still formal enough.
the pants you have aren't even chino. they're styled in a 5 pocket design and from the looks of it, looks like jean material.
these are cheap but still suitable for a banquet. even if you don't have a banquet, you can still wear these. versatile.
also no bowties unless this is an extremely formal event.
Chuck Taylors - high vs low in white? My friend says I need to get high but I really want the lows. Also, opinions on these in grey?
