For my beard I have been using this great beard conditioner. Smells a little like black licorice, with a woodsy undertone maybe a hint of leather. I love it my wife loves it my beard loves it. Win win win.

For shaping my stache I use this mustache wax. Works Geary has a little sweeter smile like coconut. Great for the rakish look with your mustache twirled at the end.

I had a white bell (or HJC) full face that was probably 150-200 new.. perfect.. I LOVED the white because it was easy to see on rainy days and darker nights.

Also, white is a pretty classic color, so if you get one that's got a pretty simple shape and style to it, it looks good. But that's all just preference. Honestly check on amazon for "motorcycle helmet" pull up full face options and sort by avg. customer review to find a good one. Reviews are the best.

I think this is the updated version of mine. this links to an xxl so don't just add to cart..

New boots came in! They're Chippewa Apaches in 9.5 with a coat of Obernaufs. Desperately trying to break them in while sick from home (walking out for groceries in them later, we'll see how that is). Fairly deep lug sole, the standard Chippewa 6" should look a lot less rugged in comparison but I appreciate the height boost this gives me. Yes, I'm standing on my coffee table to get the fit pic. I'll try to make a more detailed review of this in a post when I Have time.

Rest of the outfit is pretty standard, Levi's Rigids (just a week in and already getting slight fades), band tee covered up by black/navy Uniqlo fleece from last year.

The history of food and drink really interests me. One of the coolest books I ever read from the library was A History of the World in 6 Glasses by Tom Standage.

It traces the development of human civilization by what people drank. Starting off with beer and Egypt and Mesopotamia, then moving on to wine and Greco-Roman civilization. Jumping forward to British colonialism, it details the development of spirits and fortified wines, then moves on to tea and coffee, before springing forward again in time and talking about colas and soft drinks. Very, very interesting stuff.

I liked the book so much, I went out and bought my own copy, that sits proudly on a shelf of my bar, next to my scotches and bartenders guides.

I've got this Casio G-Shock. It looks great in a working environment as well as in a casual or business one. And it has all the benefits of a g-shock!

I'd recommend this to start: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001804CLY?cache=638891ad78f1a31080722956f5dddcdc&pi=SY200_QL40&qid=1408979087&sr=8-2#ref=mp_s_a_1_2

Basically it'll take a few minutes of work but good hand mills are cheap and produce a much more even grind, which is necessary for a French press. You also wanna set it to the finest grind that won't go through the press.

To go for electrical grinders that are worth a damn would be going to a much higher price range (I'm not too sure exactly but I could find out).

What a great post. This is the kind of stuff that your kids will look at in 15 years, and think... "man my dad was a badass!"

It makes me wish I'd have catalogued my long rides.

Have you ever read Long Way Round?
