https://www.amazon.com/Swiss-Gear-Friendly-ScanSmart-Backpack/dp/B002OHDIWY/ref=mp_s_a_1_8?keywords=swiss+travel+backpack&qid=1566031002&s=gateway&sprefix=swiss+trave&sr=8-8

This bag is pretty good. All Swiss travel backpacks are optimal for week stays at places imo.

Edit: They do have cheaper bags. That’s just one of the ones that I know work good. I enjoy Swiss bags a lot because they have a lot of pockets to store extra stuff in like souvenirs or small things you need. It really just depends on how you travel!

I'm toying with the idea of downsizing bags for underseat carryon. I didnt know they made a porter 30. Its 120.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00IMXS82Y/ref=pd_aw_sim_468_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=P39GXKEFJQGYDQVFN2ZT&dpPl=1&dpID=81SZZ810koL

If you can pack light maybe even consider the samsonite underseater large. I believe this model meets spirit and frontier personal item limits.

Not sure how much u plan to travel but Osprey bags will last and totally worth it. I think they even got lifetime warranty. I would recommend staying away from the cheap stuff because you're going to end up buying something else down the line and end up paying the same amount. Maybe try to score one on eBay or Craigslist.

Good luck!

it all depends on your priorities. hostels were a base and a mattress for me, so i didn't care much for cleanliness or services. location was key. if you ask fellow travellers for advice on where they're staying in the city that can be helpful, but depending on season you might find yourself stuck with the next best hostel that still has room. take your own towel. put cash inside a small inconspicuous pouch at the bottom of your cash and carry valuables for the day around your neck and under clothing if possible.

I’ve tried them all, and this is by far the best:

Travelrest All-in-One Ultimate Travel Pillow/Neck Pillow - Plush Washable Cover with Memory Foam - Lean Into It - Best Pillow for Airplanes, Autos, Trains, Buses, Office Napping (Rolls Up Small) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GQVGS98/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_o3HlDb58FGD98

It ties to the seat back so you actually get support on the side of your head.

Outlet adapters! Assuming she's from the U.S., and she's taking a laptop, cell phone, flat iron, etc., adapters that make it possible for her to use those gadgets without hassle are going to make her travels SO much easier.

When I travel, I use this one and a portable power strip, like this. The power strip makes it so that she use only has to use one adapter, and plug in multiple things at once.

These two items are essentials when I travel now, and are great when you're gone for an extended period of time.

I've tried every kind of pillow — inflatable, cabeau evolution, the standard horseshoe pillows, the trtl pillow. And this is the best one I've found that offers a reasonable amount of comfort, prevents the "rock concert" head bob, while still being semi-compact: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MQQTB51/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This is the one I use and like - Genuine Leather Double Edge Safety Razor Zippered Travel Case with Compartment for Blades too --- from Parker Safety Razor SADDLE BROWN https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DCDOSZY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_zOFCCbWA0SX6V

I have the older style of this piece.

Samsonite Winfield 3 DLX Hardside Carry On Luggage with Double Spinner Wheels, 20-Inch, Silver https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FDNWQJL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_OasxCbE6VHYX4

For some reason, the share button on Amazon wouldn't let me share the listing even though it's still active.

The listing name for the model I have is "Samsonite Winfield 2 Hardside 20" Luggage, Charcoal" if you want to try to search Amazon for that. It's $102 prime eligible, compared to the $155 that the newer model is.

Some dress shoes come with a bag but I am guessing that I long gone. You can put each one in an old sock if it is big enough. Or as you mentioned just wrap a tee shirt around each one. I cannot imagine even needing the zip lock.

You should pack one of the instant buffers to touch them up when you get there also.

You can download the PDF and then print it and make it into an A5 booklet? I have a stapler that can staple the sheets in the middle - Rapesco R79026A3 Long Arm Stapler... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000NLXGZ2?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

This one looks good

Look up "razor blade protector" on Amazon. There's some good shit.

Edit: Fix link

I'm also normally a tummy sleeper, so I bought this baby for a flight from Australia to England:

https://www.amazon.com/Portable-Inflatable-HOMCA-Airplanes-Napping/dp/B071S5PXDB

It is an absolute life saver!!! Can't recommend it highly enough. Also, it's much easier to relax knowing you're not in (as close) physical contact with the horrifically dirty tray tables.
