    Features:
  • EASY GLIDE BELT CLIP: Unlike other hands free leashes which force your leash to stay in one position, our durable clip smoothly slides along the lightweight belt allowing your dog move easily from side to side which means more freedom for you and your pup.
  • ADEQUATE RUNNING ROOM: Your dog can comfortably run in front of you, or beside you, without feeling like you are stepping on their heels. The 4 foot leash is long enough to provide plenty of space and stretches out to 5 feet when fully extended.
  • BEST FOR MEDIUM and LARGE DOGS: A strong durable bungee is placed between the two handles to keep your dogs pulling to a minimum and to absorb shock. To get the full benefits of the leash we recommend your dog be at least 30 lbs, as smaller dogs are not typically strong enough to utilize the bungee in our leash.
  • EASILY CONTROL YOUR DOG: It's no fun having to stop right in the middle of an energetic run. Our two conveniently placed handles allow you to control your pup without breaking stride. Use a hands on approach with the handle by your hip to guide your dog back on track, or the collar handle for more direct control in tight situations.
  • REFLECTIVE THREAD & QUALITY MATERIAL: Designed with luminous reflective stitching that run the length of the leash and the 48" belt to insure you stay safe and visible on your late evening runs. LIFETIME GUARANTEE: Our leash will improve your walks and runs with your dog, or your money back!

Check out this set on Amazon. I don't know what your budget is, but I have that board (got the set with single-convex stones), and then I bought double convex stones because I liked the look and feel of them better. This set comes set up with the double-convex stones.

There is a Tucson Go club that meets on Sundays at 16:00 at the Panera on Broadway. You can contact them on Facebook. I live a ways away from that, but am up for meeting some time at Exo Roast Co to play if you like.

I just picked it up last year and have been really enjoying it. Good luck!

If I am reading that right, your folks should be able to get 4(NBC), 6(PBS), 9(ABC), and 13(CBS) with a TV mounted antenna. And 11(Fox) is in yellow. Honestly, those are the only channels I really watch. I disabled more than half because they were in Spanish.

Best bet would be to purchase an antenna like this one and just set it up at different places around the room and see what gives the best reception. If you don't get much or anything, then you might want to look into an outdoor antenna, but there are some nice cheap ones as well. You might not need to spend much, this is the antenna I have duct taped to my satellite dish and I get great reception, way better than the $40 flat antenna box with amplifier that was hung in the window.

Also, if you don't want to get your dad a new TV, you can get at digital converter box for $30-40 at walmart or amazon.

Biggest solution is to eliminate their food supply. diatomaceous earth anywhere you see a potential entry point. Get a few tubes of paintable caulking and some steel wool. Shove the steel wool into any crevices then caulk over it, cracks and gaps in the eaves, gaps around windows, etc. You can get little duster cans like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004FBKLZE/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_i_9eroDbMYCZ6RQ

You don't need a pile of diatomaceous earth, just a light dusting will do. Getting it in the back of cabinets, behind furniture, under baseboards, etc will do tons towards prevention

To treat for scorpions (as well as many other insects) you want "Demand CS" (or one of the generics) this is what most pest control companies will actually use in Tucson. I recommend a pump sprayer and at minimum a dust mask while spraying it. Read the instructions carefully, and be smart while applying it. Spray 4-6 times a year, full perimeter and around all openings, and you should be pretty good

Marshall Gulch is a pretty good hike on Mount Lemmon that is dog friendly. There's some running water there, and my dog always enjoys it. A lot of people hike it with their dog off-leash though, so it may not be good if your dog is not friendly with others.

Also, tacking onto the leash comment above, a nice hands-free leash is great for hiking! I have this leash, and a Ruffwear harness that you can buy at REI in town.

I'm selling:

[Stair climber] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K6ZURAW/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1) for sale for $75. See the amazon post for specs and reviews. This works well and it is put together so you can try it out before you buy it. I've upgraded to a treadmill so I no longer need it. It's compact and easy to fold up for storage, so it's good for small spaces.

Fitbit Flex for sale for $35, which includes a package of colored replacement bands, a $15 value alone (wrist bands are the smaller of the 2 wrist sizes). The Flex was bought less than a year ago and still works perfectly. See the amazon post for specs and reviews. I've upgraded to one with a heart rate monitor, so I no longer need it. This comes with the setup instructions, charger, and wrist bands. The black bands are little worn, but others are in good shape.

TV stand with Flat Panel Mount for sale for $50. See the post for specs and reviews. I bought this, but didn't really fit my decor, so put it in storage shortly thereafter. Perfect condition and is assembled.

I live near Oracle and Orange Grove.

Not a govt program but look up Brad Lancaster. I took a class with him once at UofA. He builds rainwater harvesting systems and has worked with the city on a lot of stuff improving neighborhoods to be more sustainable. My class did a tour of his little eco home around university that runs 100% off rainwater and solar year-round. Guy had a rainwater shower and a full washing machine in his front yard that ran off into the garden haha.

I still refer back to the textbook from class, amazing resource

That's a great idea! My favorite purchase so far this summer has been this thing -- you fill it with ice cubes and water and mist yourself like you're a houseplant: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WJDZBR8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_5iaIkm7MVHLz9

It was also useful last night when we lost power and I didn't feel like suffocating myself in the garage to get AC, lol.

I was rather surprised how comfortable mine is. It has certainly been better than the mattress it replaces.

FYI, one of the reasons that memory foam mattresses can be so cheap is that they ship compressed into a roll about 16 inches in diameter.

10yr exp plus computer tech here. If you're willing to drop money on proper hardware, I'm willing to donate my time to come out and help you out. If the guest house is further than 50-100 feet away from the main house though, I'd probably recommending either sending out cable, or depending on how the power is configured you could use an Ethernet over Power configuration.

I've had really good luck with these: http://www.amazon.com/Ethernet-over-POWER-Adapter-Pair/dp/B004C4XWN2

Like I mentioned in a previous post, Wireless power is mandated by the FCC. Pretty much whatever router you get, you're still going to be limited by that range in a residential setting.

I want to chime in on the refillable water bottle. You don't have to get this fancy thing, but it's pretty amazing to have a vacuum insulated water bottle because if you accidentally leave it in your hot car for hours, it can still have ice floating in it.

If you do get this model, just be sure to vent it before bringing it near your face as sometimes the pressure difference causes a puff and a little spray. It's a good habit as cold water in your face is just embarrassing but hot tea isn't so funny.

I actually like making tea with hot water and then shaking up the bottle (mixing and heating it through) as it builds up pressure. Then I then press the button to vent the pressure, with a satisfying "FUMP!", ejecting a fine mist of herbal tea that doubles as an air freshener.

...But you don't have to do that if you don't like having fun.

If you want a lock that'll be tough to cut here's what I've got for the few times I brave locking my nicer bikes outside: http://www.onguardlock.com/store/mastiff-8020

This monster is HEAVY but makes me feel slightly better in addition to using a U-Lock from the same company. You'll need a backpack to haul this around though... Otherwise I ride a cheap bike I picked up off of Craigslist that I won't miss if it is stolen. Too many people I know have had their bikes stolen so I'm very cautious.

We store ours inside using these stands/racks in case you were looking for a solid storage solution:

  1. Wall rack: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01725VF2C/
  2. Floor stand: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001AX6MMG/

Edit: that bike lock offers theft protection for up to $2k, solid investment IMO.

Edit 2: for the wall rack I meant to link the two-bike solution. It sits on the wall and really opens up a lot of space.
