This Asus laptop is $350 new or $260 used on Amazon. It is at the higher end of your budget, so it may be much. Unless you know that you won't be downloading any applications, I would recommend a windows laptop over a Chromebook. This laptop has an i3, 4Gb of ram, 1080p scree, 15in. My robotics team got this laptop last year and it works great for what we need it for, programming.

Whats AGPM?

In general, you want a backpack that can fit a laptop+ charger, 1-2 notebooks, and maybe a bulky textbook as well. and have some room for a water bottle, pencils etc and a sandwhich or something. I would get something medium to large.

My backpack is:

And it hold everything i evber need. Try looking for a back this size I would say :)

Hello again! I have a question about the young and fredman physics textbook. Which version should I purchase and should I also purchase the solutions manual? Also would that textbook be better than say this https://www.amazon.com/No-bullshit-guide-math-physics/dp/0992001005/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1466240189&sr=8-3&keywords=physics
Thank you for all your help so far (:

You can definitely get the book cheaper on Amazon, used. That listing on the bookstore's site is for a "bundle" which includes the physical textbook, pdf of the book, and online homework code. Looks like CHEM1P is doing a trial online homework website this quarter. That will be completely separate from the textbook. As for the textbook, Randa's syllabus does state to get the 7th edition, although there may be some leniency, as we were allowed to use the 6th edition last fall quarter. However, if you're going to complete the gen chem series (CHEM 1A, 1B, 1C) it may be worth the investment.

It really depends on your budget and what you want, for ease of use and portability I would get AirPods. If you're and audiophile and really want wireless IEMs you can get some shures or mee. If you want over headphones that have noise cancelling you can get either qc 35s or surface headphones. If you prefer high quality IEM's and cost isn't an issue theres CIEMs. Lastly if you just want some good headphones you want to listen at home theres a selection of sennheisers.

There's no ethernet in several RHs now, if you have a desktop you'll need to install a wifi card into your computer.

Here's the wifi card I plan to buy: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016K0896K/?coliid=I1W9S6IUSCKLC5&colid=1SR8XZDV06J3N&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

It's pretty easy to install, but if you're uncomfortable with that I could help you once I move in on the 21st, maybe for like 5 bucks or something, but anyone should be able to do after watching a few youtube videos, there's probably instructions included.

For anyone else wondering, here are all the RHs that apparently no longer have active ethernet ports: https://its.ucsc.edu/resnet/networkupgrades.html

AC isn't the keyword you want. If you want better speeds you need to look for one with gigabit ethernet ports like this one. You also need to plug the router into the wall with a gigabit cable.

Let me tempt you with cheaper albeit lesser quality items I bought. I love the way they look as well: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HK8F3PM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I know some UC students I'll ask them about it. Thanks alot for the suggestion.
Also when uni libraries order a book for you, does the library pay for the book? Furthermore, do you have any idea how long would be the whole process?

The book is about 200 bucks which is kinda ridiculous. I am hoping through the library process I wouldn't have to pay for anything. UCSC library membership seems bit pricey too.

Between you and me, any girl will go out with you. But the only ones that'll let you onto 3rd base and take it home are the ones who have a bodypillow waifu to rival with.

I believe in you and want you to know I support you so I'll leave this Amazon link here for you! https://www.amazon.com/Top-Tiger-Sword-Art-Online/dp/B01AMXJZ8W/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1468922694&sr=8-2&keywords=asuna+body+pillow

I realize this does not directly answer your question. However I bought the bed frame below. Solid poplar wood construction (no plastic, particle board), very sturdy, great price. Never squeaks. I could not be happier. Only downside (some consider it a plus) is that it is unstained so I was able to stain it a darker shade.

I never slept on it without a mattress topper, but the one I had made it really comfortable. I never had any complaints about it being uncomfortable.

This one that I used.

I know this bulb is expensive, but if you look on amazon for related items, you might find something similar for cheaper. Also, I have amazon prime (so should you if you use your .ucsc address) so I tend to shop there, but I saw cheaper bulbs at 1000bulbs.
