There’s 35 degrees at night, and 35 degrees during the day and they’re pretty different. Bring a fleece for daytime when it’s still not so cool, then bring a windproof jacket with some insulation when it’s cooler or at night. If you are still chilly with the jacket, put on the fleece AND the jacket!

If you are going to be out long in the evening, bring some gloves. Maybe some lighter, knit ones. And borrow what you can from friends or family!

This jacket is kind of a cliché, but is an example of one with a little insulation: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AHTAU08/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_88oXDbD1QR0R2. It’s also an explanation of why you should borrow if you can.

You'll need to have them on your vehicle if they enact the winter traction law. When the roads are dry, no problem, but if it gets bad having a set of chains makes a big difference.

Get a set sized to your tires and keep them handy. There are stations along the side of 70 to stop and chain up if necessary.

They're not stopping people to check, but if you're involved in an accident you'll get an extra ticket if you're not compliant.
