Since the PSTV has HDCP, you'll need a splitter that supports HDMI 1.3. But here are links to the capture card and splitter I use.

Capture Card - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K5A8FP2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Splitter - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004F9LVXC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I do realize that the splitter is no longer available directly from Amazon, but from sellers, but I still direct people to this, specific model, as I've heard stories from other people having issues with HDMI 1.3 splitters aside from this one. Just note that any splitter SHOULD work as long as it supports HDMI 1.3.

And the drivers for the capture card. I use the ones set for the GL310.

Only advice is to always make sure your mic is plugged in before launching the capture card's software to make sure you don't start commentary on the stream and realize your mic isn't working with the software. And toggle the volume settings in the application itself for a good balance so the game's volume doesn't overbear your own mic voice.

Would you mind sharing a link or something for the cord you use? I ordered one from Amazon with the proper specs and it won't work. . .

Here's the link. . .

Doesn't do a thing. PSTV just keeps rebooting. Works perfectly fine when I use the standard cable and plug.

I think it was this one from amazon, it's been a couple years so I've switched my setup around and no longer use it, but at the time I was googling solutions and someone mentioned it so I just bought the cheapest one on amazon that fit my needs to test it out and it ended up working for me. However I'm sure if you search around now you'll find cheaper ones for sale that'll do the same job.

I bought a Powerline Adapter starter kit from Amazon and it works like a charm for Remote Play:

Sorry, I am away from home for longer period of time.
But! This is the wallmount I was talking about https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Adhesive-Charging-Compatible-Smartphone/dp/B01I42Z5DW
It is for mobile phones, but VitaTV fits there perfectly. Even the rounded side.

I would recommend using a HDMI audio extractor if you can (I have this one
I was using bluetooth for a while but I got sick of the slight amount of lag with my setup.
When I was using bluetooth I swapped between a cheap bluetooth speaker and using this adapter with headphones.

I really really would recommend going with a HDMI audio extractor if you can go with a wired solution. On a plus side if you ever want to use something else with your monitor like a DVD player, Roku or Chromecast etc, then you have a solution that works with anything HDMI.

I used this adapter for a while with success:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00P7CDXI2/

The nice thing about this one is that it also has a 3.5mm audio jack so you can plug in some headphones or speakers.

If you can find a screen that has HDMI you can use the PSTVs portability. You can use a PSP charger to USB and use the 'TV's USB or a power bank to power up the PSTV. I have this setup on my other V outside using a psp to usb charger to power up my pstv instead of using one wall socket.

my brother has this portable TV that is powered by his XBOXone USB. But im not sure if that is exactly it. You can get a power bank with a pretty high capacity now so its pretty easy to make a mod of PSTV+HDTV+powerbank.

That's a cool case. It probably won't work for me, since it won't fit a Dualshock.

I've come up with this Pelican case so far. The Pelican case may not work because the Dualshock 4 is just a bit taller put in vertically. It may fit. I must have mis-measured I'm going to do more measurements when I get my PSTV. and see if it will fit horizontally.

Edit: Actually just don't listen to me about the measurements, turns out I'm looking at the dimensions of the entire case. I'll have a link post to show what I end up doing. Most likely some sort of Pelican case.

u/Slapshot00 · 2 pointsr/VitaTV

I don't know if a Dualshock 4 could fit in this case, but this might be a good one for the PSTV and all its components.

I actually use the Mpow Wireless amazon.ca link They work well except for the microphone that does not get recognized by the PSTV for some reason...
I have yet to find a suitable solution for vocal chat and the Party app. Also the blue tooth range of the PSTV is limited to 6 feet.

I have this one and it works great. I have it connected to ps4, pstv, ps3, wii U, and a computer, and the optical output goes to an Astro Mixamp TR for sound. I had another one, I think it was from Monoprice, that also worked great but didn't have audio extraction which is why i switched to this one when I got the Astro A40 kit with the Mixamp.

The Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter?

I have that. Works very easily if you've paired a bluetooth device before. One thing to note though, you'll be hearing 4 beeps when putting the Vita TV to and off Standby. It's a little annoyance, but at least you'll know the device works. Also make sure the two are in close range.

u/LootableCorpse · 1 pointr/VitaTV

Your current capture card should be fine, you'll just need to use a splitter with it. I recommend the OREI HD-102.

edit: Apparently there is a new version of that splitter and it won't bypass HDCP anymore.

u/ddh819 · 1 pointr/VitaTV

i didn't buy it from this place but it looks like this:

http://www.amazon.com/Sienoc-Female-Video-adapter-Color/dp/B00F8WFEZQ/ref=

i got mine from meritline but they seem to not have it any more.

u/parkerlreed · 3 pointsr/VitaTV

This https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00YC7U0NE/ has audio out on the same connector. Just hook up a pair of speakers and you should be good to go.

u/Spockrocket · 2 pointsr/VitaTV

As a side note, Amazon has now price-matched this.
