Another good and cheap way for a camera is a Raspberry Pi Zero W with a small camera and this installed on it:

https://github.com/ccrisan/motioneyeos

You can set it up to email you photos, videos, upload to the cloud, ftp, etc - total cost for a complete camera with be around $50.00. It's the cheapest full wifi IP camera you can do - parts I've used:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071L2ZQZX/

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LH10HYE/

You can fit the whole thing inside the case provided by the Canakit - just use the one -without- the camera hole (it doesn't fit that camera) - and drill your own hole. Hot glue the camera in place. You'll have to come up with your own solution for a mount (I ended up drilling a hole in the back case, putting a 1/4-20 thin-pan-head screw in and a standard camera mount).

Or get a a bigger case for the whole unit - a cheap decoy camera can make a great custom case:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MC05K9W/

https://www.amazon.com/Security-Surveillance-Realistic-Recording-Warning/dp/B01HDZM66K/

Those are actual cases that are used by "cheap" security camera makers, just with false parts and a blinking LED added. So they are easy to repurpose for custom security cameras made with RasPi components. Also, the larger cases allow you to stick something bigger than a Pi Zero inside - a full Raspberry Pi 3 or 4 could be fitted in there, plus a larger (more pixels) camera module if you wanted it (plus anything else you could think of - IR illumination, temperature and humidity sensors, etc).

The only thing cheaper than a RasPi security camera system like this would be the ESP32 camera modules:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QS7VFMJ/

But they aren't as easy to set up and use; software is still a very-much hands-on experience (if you know Python, though - they can fun little units). You'll have to come up with your own enclosure, too. But if experimentation is up your alley, they are the absolute cheapest option for an wifi IP camera.

My information came from a PLC course I took in college, which covered an electrical safety section following this textbook. I've re-read the section and it actually says to keep one hand in your pocket to prevent "shock current to pass through the chest region."

I can quote the section if you'd like:

>The primary safety process used throughout industry is a lock-out/tag-out procedure. This technique is normally not used in instructional laboratories but is quite common in industry. In the PLC laboratory it is good practice to check for the presence of voltage with a meter ... this is especially important when AC voltage is present or when DC voltage greater than 5 volts is used.

>Many industrial safety manuals include the following three step procedure when measuring a voltage:

>1. Verify that the meter is working by measuring a known voltage source.
>2. Use the meter to test the circuit you plan to touch for the presence of voltage.
>3. Verify again that the meter is working by measuring a known voltage source.

>... A final precaution is to make initial contact with the conductor(s) with the back of one hand or fingers before grasping it between the fingers ... Another suggestion often stated when working around high power circuits is to work with one of your hands in your pocket.

Does anybody else think this is maybe a 'fart machine' like this: Fart Machine

While inappropriate (although funny IMO) I could see them pranking her. Especially the way one or two of them can't stop laughing. It sounds like someone actually started to snicker right before the second fart - kinda like it was all planned.

Still funny either way, because air escaping from your butthole = funny.

Ultra-Purewhip and Whip-It! brands seem to be most commonly used for huffing. The Whip-It! brand actually specifies that they use medical grade nitrous... for whipped cream. And check out the graphics. I'm amazed they get away with it.

edit: So this is fucked up, if anyone cares. Turns out I got really drunk after posting this last night... I must have either remembered this comment or looked at my comment history, because today I got a shipping confirmation email out of the blue for a big box of these, plus a canister. Thanks, Drunk Me, for ordering shit I don't really want, but will happily accept anyway. My weekend will now be hilarious.

you know propane is much more stable and cost effective. you can make a flamethrower with a backpack frame, milk crate,a pare burner. and a propane tank for really cheap. or buy the red dragon for like $283. They also work great for organic weeding in rocky areas, or melting snow.

Aren't these telescoping ladders? I definitely would never trust one of them, but the ladder in the .gif was a pretty standard extension ladder. I see them all the time and never saw them fail on their own.

But then, I've never seen someone stupid enough to try something like putting the bottom of a ladder on anything but solid ground in person either.

>I do a bench press from the floor

Sounds like you're not getting full range of motion, not to mention missing out on fly's and incline/decline presses. I'd recommend getting an adjustable bench like this. Of course, if you're happy with the situation then that's cool.

Yeah, people are nuts. I can't imagine what would inspire someone to use a chainsaw for what would should be near-finishing quality of work on the interior of a home. I wonder what his next trick was... boil the chainsaw so it was sterile enough to perform an appendectomy with?

======================

I have one of these Milwaukee cordless sawzalls that would have worked nicely for what he was going at. It's small enough to get in at the angle needed, it's got great power, and can be used with a single hand. But I'd use it because I already have it... if I didn't I just grab any number of hand saws that'd make short work of that cut.

But a chainsaw? WTF??

He wrote about it in his (mostly) jokey [autobiography] (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bigger-than-Hitler-Better-Christ/dp/000720728X)

I personally didn't like the book as it was too wacky and whimsical for me (even though I was expecting it to be like that) but the 2 chapters written by the Rik Mayall the man, rather than Rik Mayall the character were brilliant.

[This review] (https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/188968988) sums it up nicely.

If you like hard boiled eggs a lot, this is one of the best things you can buy under $20. I get perfect hard boiled eggs every time with 0 effort. It also has trays for poaching and omelets, they don't make anything amazing but they will make decent eggs with a bonus that it was steamed and not fried.

Not a big deal, I'm always happy to help

It seems like they're popular with the outdoor/survival crowd? I've skimmed through some amazon reviews of one model and there are apparently some benefits, but I'm everything else than well informed when it comes to lighters

EDIT: I'm still not sure how they are called(in English) though
