Everyone is saying the Logitech G502, and I could not agree more. I actually have 2 of them because I travel quite a bit for work. It has all the buttons you'll need right on the mouse to be an effective slayer of n00bs. It has a button which can select different DPI profiles which makes it easy to switch back-and-forth from Xbox to PC modes.

Keyboards can be subjective based on how you like your "finger feel" and noise level. For me, I cannot say enough good things about the Logitech G13 gaming pad (and holy balls I just realized how expensive it is, I don't think they make these anymore. Check on eBay for a cheaper price if interested). Buttons are right where they need to be, and it has nice ergonomic support for your wrist - it's designed for gaming comfort, not cranking out emails. The keys are not too clicky, but also have a nice feel to them. Also included; buttons to quickly switch between gaming profiles. Handy if you need different button keymaps for various different games.

My main keyboard, which I've also tested for gaming and cannot say enough good things about, is the Logitech G513. It has a sleek, minimalist design and comes with wrist support. The keys are a bit louder than the G13, but they are easier to press. It also has a surprisingly sturdy frame. The weight of it surprised me during the unboxing. It was oddly satisfying to hold in my hands which gave the impression that it was well engineered and of good quality.

As for the XIM, I've been a non-commissioned sales rep for it since the XIM 3 was released. These guys keep making better products, and the XIM Apex is no exception. The key (in my humble opinion) to giving it that PC feel is to find the right ballistics curve. I've found one that works very well with every game I've played. If you want more details on it, send me a private message and I'll give you the code that you can paste right into the XIM app on your phone. Another tip to making your experience even better on the XIM is to set the Hz to 1000 in the XIM app, and also set your mouse to 12000 dpi. Again, if you want more information on how to do that, just send me a message. I take great joy in helping people maximize their experience with the XIM.

Official website: https://xim.tech

XIM Apex on Amazon (US) : https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079SS1CCR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_yeSCCb3DXJFM0

I should also add that the only difference in ordering from the XIM website rather Amazon is shipping time. I've heard ordering from the official website takes a week for shipping but Amazon if you have prime would only be 2 days.
I ordered through Amazon.

XIM Community Post relating to what the differences are between XIM Apex & XIM 4: https://community.xim.tech/index.php?topic=3819.msg641775#msg641775

Most keyboard and mouse are supported but here is a list of ones that work for sure: https://community.xim.tech/index.php?topic=32933.0
I wouldn't go out and buy a new keyboard and mouse if yours isn't on the list. If you decide to buy the XIM Apex or XIM 4 wait to see if it works. If not, go from there.

My honest review on the XIM is for me personally it was hard to find a configuration that worked well for me + what keyboard & mouse I had. But once you find that sweet configuration and set it up it's a really smooth experience. I think any issues you might have might come from your end of hardware. I really enjoyed the XIM for the time I had. I owned it for my PS4. I stopped playing a lot of FPS so I sold my XIM.

Shameless self promotion below

Here is my short review and set up of my XIM Apex. It's not the best video but it's my first tutorial/set up video: https://youtu.be/0kDpsVUc5oI

Hope my reply helps in some way big or small.

I highly recommend the Super Scholar Z-88 (there are multiple revisions of this keyboard). It does have multiple RGB configs and you're able to replace the keys from stock to another type (Blues, Reds, Blacks, Browns). I was able to convert mine from Blue keys to Browns and I've been extremely satisfied. My wife owns the same keyboard with Reds and she loves the feel and response. Most importantly, the keyboard uses a detachable USB and works flawlessly with the Xim Apex.

big fail i forgot to add the link xD click here

edit: oops linked membrane version, changed link to correct one at 3:57pm central us time

- the quality of this + the price is a way better bang for your buck & honestly i cant justify buying an expensive keypad again the benefits of those arent worth the additional price on those.

also im not affiliated or sponsored in any way just a very happy customer

The Corsair K63 and Rocatt Sova are made for couch M&K gaming. I have never tested any out but watched some vids and read reviews. People seem to like them. My current M&K are Corsair and I love them so I would prolly go with Corsair. But I don't think you can go wrong with either.

Turning off the light did nothing for me, I ended up getting this UGREEN USB Switch Selector 2... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MXXQKGM?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

This made it soooo easy to switch back and forth btw my pc and ps4 highly recommend. I got a diagram of you want too

Last question, I promise:

Which do you think would be better? The wireless g602(is wireless even supported?) or wired g502. Both logitech.

On the incredibly rare occurrences I even play a game with a mouse in bed I use the same lapdesk I use for my couch.

Pretty much this.

Can you post up the config files for the game? That way users can simply drop them in?

On a side note, I have thought about adding something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Mechanical-Numeric-Backlit-Desktop-Computer/dp/B07FFLNF5C/ref=sr_1_22_sspa?keywords=keypad&qid=1558538728&s=gateway&sr=8-22-spons&psc=1 for quick swapping profiles. A dedicated device.

I use this and it works really well.

IOGEAR 2 Computer 4-Port USB 2.0 Peripheral Sharing Switch, GUS402

I use one of these - Zeller Laptop Board, Black, 59 x 40 x... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B008KZQQ5K?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

Instead of a keyboard however, I use a Hori Tac Grip which is essentially half a Ps4 controller strapped to your wrist, works really well worth the Xim however.

Can I ask you another questions? Assuming I couldn't find any cheap enough wireless kb / mouse and decided to go with just standard wired things, Id need a USB extension cable between the Xim and the Hub. Do you have any idea if this cable would be good enough for that? (not talking about length, just the USB type / speed etc.)
