That's the book I used to get started. It provides a good basic starting point and it gives you the basic ties and knowledge. After that? If you want to keep learning finding someone to teach you or a class to take is my reccomendation. There's lots of different styles and ideas.
I will also say, there is a second book in that series that was also good, but that I found less useful then the first. /shrug
When you are ready to go rope, check this rope out as a good starter rope. And this book will show you the ropes when it comes to knot-tying.
