I strongly recommend this book, I've used them on all the hawaiian islands to great success.

I recommend the bike trip down Haleakela. The views are breathtaking.

I also HIGHLY recommend this book. If you do Road to Hana make sure to stop at some of the points of interest in the book!

I've purchased two of these... one was actually during my first time in Asia so I had it waiting for me when I got home. Super easy to install, highly recommended.

Ohhh, yup. I use this backpack for Wizz Air because it fits perfectly in the carry on parameters. Usually, if I am flying somewhere on these airlines, it's just a quick trip. I do use my Away small carry on for Easy Jet trips though.

Personally I wouldn't want to risk them not being available. For kids that age we have been happy with inflatable boosters. They pack as tight as a pair of pants when deflated and have been useful with travel in general, especially with Uber. We have this one.

I have this one. Not magnetic but works great. I also travel with a cigarette lighter charger.

Honestly, it doesn't bother me, since I know I'm going to get horribly gross every time I'm on a plane, and then I just clean me/my clothes right afterwards.

But, if you're really excited by this idea, something like this might be best: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003PWS9AI/

It's waterproof/non-permeable, but small enough to pack in a carry-on without too much issue. Essentially just a waterproof fitted sheet.

I have this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00O5JARCI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title

I paid $15 for it, not $40. I think it's showing $40 because it's an old model; I bought it a couple of years ago. But just posting to give an idea of what to look for. I think this is a preferable solution to having to get involved with mounting magnets in your phone case and should provide a more secure grip overall.

That's my plan, a while back someone recommended a small USB powered fan and I'm currently trying to decide if that will be sufficient or if I should go for a bigger one.

You can always buy that one and try it out and if not powerful enough return it to amazon. I have one similar to one below, but it requires D batteries and doesn't have usb hookup.
