If you like this caption for this particular (gorgeous) photo, I highly recommend reading the scifi novel Children Of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky. It's one of my favorites and the second book in the series, Children Of Ruin, just came out and it's great too!

A good friend of mine wrote a nice book on keeping Isopods. Well 2, I’ll post the link below.

Ever thought of one of the smart phone snap-on macro lenses? I picked up one similar to this and used it to get these two photos of a damselfly last week:

1: Tail
2: Body

Obviously works a bit better on things that don't move around quite as much, though! :)

Yeah, the astronaut is her little sister! She's the lander itself, and has memorized "it's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind" -- the costume was inspired by this book, which I can't recommend enough: https://www.amazon.com/Armstrong-Ordinary-People-Change-World/dp/0735228728/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=neil+armstron+kids&qid=1571626171&sr=8-1-spell

Not really a paper weight, but can play the job of a paper weight too!

Nikon D90 with a set of extension tubes and a reverse mounted, decently small aperture 50mm lens. It's also possible to mount two lenses together for even more magnification.

You should try this inexpensive macro lens. The rubber band wraps around your phone and is portable and light. The pictures are decent too, if you have enough light and stabilize yourself somehow.
