The instead cups are a bit different. They are larger around and supposed to fit closer to your cervix, kind of like a diaphragm. They are made to be disposable and some people can even have sex with them in. To me, they are super uncomfortable and I could never get them to work right. To be honest, after trying the Instead cups, I was very hesitant to try any other menstrual cup because I had such a hard time with them. The diva cup is around $45 dollars so I did some research and got the Athena cup instead. It was around $15 bucks on amazon prime and it is so much more comfortable! I love it and it has made my period so much easier to deal with. These cups are a game changer.

Try a silicone pad for the smaller side. It's the only thing I've found that helps balance them out without actually bothering me. The silicone will warm up to your body temp and effectively disappear rather quickly. It does take some time to get used to, but it's a total sanity saver. I wish I could go braless, but the strain on my back/shoulders is too real and I'll actually have to lay down with something between them to get the pain to stop if I go too long!

This is basically what I use. Picked them up at Walmart for ≤$20. Obviously just use one on the small side, but that works out so you can air out one and wear the other every other day. They wipe clean easily, don't abdorb sweat/stink, and are the most comfortable padding support I've found.

I don't think there is any downside to trying. This is the brand I take. You can see the dosage is 1300 mg per pill. I find that buying it online is cheaper. The company that sells it also has free shipping if your order is above a certain amount, and they sell all sorts of things so if there is something else you normally use you can bundle that into your order and get free shipping. They even have some drugstore brand things, like Cetaphil and Eucerin and CeraVe.

If you have Amazon Prime you can get the same dose in this and get the free shipping.

"Most manga is of a sexual nature" is an enormous overreach. It might be disproportionately represented by English-language internet anime fanboys, but that doesn't reflect the state of manga in Japan. Manga is read widely in Japan, including young children. Some of the manga I've been reading lately include Chi's Sweet Home, a comedy manga about a kitten and her family; Yotsuba&!, a completely wholesome manga about a kindergartener; and a lot of manga based on Pokemon, which are as family-friendly as the Pokemon cartoon that's aired for children for decades.

I'm not defending the sexually exploitative nature of the many manga that are, but saying all manga is sexualized is as absurd as saying most video games are hyper-violent murder-sprees. M rated games exist, but most people play Mario, Pokemon, sports games, etc. Hypersexualized manga exist, but most Japanese people read non-sexual manga like Doraemon and Astro Boy.

Take a look at the historically highest-selling manga in Japan; most of the biggest contain little to no sexual content: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_manga

Chuck Tingle is well worth checking out

(She's A Sentient Shampoo And He's A Living Conditioner Who Wants To Pound My Butt)[https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YYWZNL8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_9rgXDb8JQJZ6P]

Carl is a struggling actor with a huge audition on the horizon, and he’s determined to embody every aspect of the role. The man Carl’s hoping to portray is ultra clean-cut, which couldn’t be farther from Carl’s rugged ways, but his sentient shampoo wife, Rinby, is willing to help him out with a bit of a makeover.

It suddenly becomes apparent that Carl has never once used conditioner, and to obtain the look he’s going for, this is a must. Now the loving couple is bringing home a handsome living bottle of conditioner named Norb, and Carl is about to experience the bisexual encounter of a lifetime. But is this shampoo and conditioner combo enough to spruce him up for the big audition?

This erotic tale is 4,100 words of sizzling bisexual human on sentient hair product action.

Edit: how the fuck do links work

You're essentially saying people aren't allowed to have interests or abilities outside their profession or main talent.

So for example Rosey Grier is "known for" being a badass NFL player, but saying that's "all" he can do reduces him to a one-dimensional caricature of a dumb jock. Besides playing football, Grier can sing, is an ordained minister... and [knits] (https://www.amazon.com/Rosey-Griers-Needlepoint-Men-Grier/dp/0802704212).

As long as an interest or ability hasn't been specifically ruled out by the canon I don't really have a problem with fan media speculating on what characters do on their off time.

It is interesting you mention that. There is a famous book well worth a read. Difficult Conversations. There is a section of it that discusses blame and how we always cast ourselves as the hero no matter what. That it is almost impossible to look at situations from other people's views or stances. Its a good book written by some harvard business school guys, well worth a read.

Probably because they gave the name and author in the title! :)

From what I remember it seemed like a pretty reasonable book though. I'm going to see if I can look it up somewhere

Try these. I don't have periods anymore, but when I did, I used and liked these. It might be worth it to try it before deciding if you'd like to try the cup.

u/rubiscoisrad · 4 pointsr/badwomensanatomy

They do alright. The ones I ordered came with double sided tape, if needed, but I wear them with snug undies like bikini cuts and boyshorts. They stay put pretty well on their own, but sometimes I adjust them a bit when I hit the bathroom.

Plus, I only rely on them completely for light days. Otherwise they're just a backup for the menstrual cup.

It's becoming a real issue in China now as there is a shortage of women to marry. On top of that, many women are leaving their parents' houses and going to work in the factories. They're earning their own money, which is giving them economic power and giving them more control on when or if they get married. There's a great book about it called Factory Girls

I found this book at the library when I was twelve and it was extremely helpful. lots of diagrams about what you should expect at different ages/stages. (the link has a "look inside" option so you can see the table of contents). definitely something young girls should read!

u/Yewnicorns · 2 pointsr/badwomensanatomy

So I actually use a hyaluronic serum from Pearl Essence that I mixed with some Mario Badescu rose water & Pacifica’s Caffeine spray, I have a Fine Mist Spray Bottle I pour it into (which I highly recommend for spraying anything involving an oil or serum). However, I first realized the value of putting hyaluronic acid over makeup when my SIL recommended Tatcha’s Luminous Dewy Skin Mist (but it’s $48 for 1.35 oz- yikes).

There’s a book called Come As You Are that one of my friends swore by that helped with this kind of thing. From the small snippet I read, it did mention trans and nb people so it may be helpful

u/wicksa · 13 pointsr/badwomensanatomy

Yasss! Get yourself this bra. It's in UK sizing though so make sure you aren't using US sizing. And it runs a little tight so you might have to sister size up for comfort. But it's true, it keeps those things in their place.

u/WorstDogEver · 3 pointsr/badwomensanatomy

Under $20! I got this cheap Sprite water filter because it fit my shower and they have it at my nearby Lowe's. There are tons of cheap well-reviewed ones on Amazon.
