OP, in other recent posts of yours, you are asking for basic songwriting advice and stated you don’t know how to write songs. Nothing wrong with that.
Songwriting, and releasing an EP, should take you a year+ anyways. I would spend the next year working on songwriting. It takes practice.
If your drummer refuses to practice, move on. If he is practicing, then he can accomplish a lot while you are learning to write. Be patient. A friendship and musical chemistry will be far more valuable to a band than instrument chops.
To go a step further, get organized. Set individual goals and group goals. Write them down. Something like “this month I will write a basic 3 chord song and drummer will learn two different parts for it.” Achievable, reasonable, and has a timeline.
Purchase and read How to Make It In the New Music Business, it will give you some perspective on what it takes to put out this EP you’re dreaming of.
Lastly, ask yourself if you’re taking out your frustration and anxiety about writing and recording... on your drummer. This requires some real honesty. It took me longer than I’d wish to realize this about myself, but it’s easy for us to project our insecurities on a bandmate when the best thing we could do is just contribute more ourselves. Especially if you’re in a leadership role, most of the time you need to inspire others through your actions, not words.
This is all normal by the way. The best bands go far with honesty about ego and a lot of hard work. The ability to listen while playing is infinitely more important than technical skill and theory.
Good luck!
Oooh! I'd recommend Likable Social Media as well. It's a great way to re-think ways of engaging with your audience online.
The Martin Atkins books are great. And Martin is a friggin' hilarious individual.
I'm not in mosh pits, but I use a Levis Holster and it works great. I think the cable would come out of my guitar long before that thing would come off. It's got two nice options. You can either thread it through a belt loop, or through a strap lengthwise. You can thread thin straps, or velcro it around thicker ones. In your case, I'd go with the strap as you'll be able to keep the cable short and more out of the way.

Mine was very well built. I'm on my 3rd transmitter, but only my 1st holster.
Yes the singer to hear himself. Obviously anyone standing nearby will also hear him as well (like the rest of the band) It looks like the right idea, 50w is pretty low. If your jam room has acoustic drums and the guitars are turned up to match the volume you might have trouble hearing yourself, but that's pretty subjective - you will have to see what works for you. Personally I like these (I use 2 of them): http://www.amazon.com/Alto-Professional-TS112A-Loudspeaker-Built-In/dp/B005FUWTJU/ but that's a different budget and is likely a little overkill. As you can see both products have a built in 2 channel mixer so if all you are running through them is one mic, you don't need another mixer, you can even run a second mic or another sound source through them as well without adding a mixer.
If you like that you should really read their book, The Indie Band Survival Guide: The Complete Manual for the Do-It-Yourself Musician.
It's a great book with a lot of good advice.
In response to the claim that the "throne idea" is not available:
You're gonna have to get creative but that kind of thing is totally possible.
You can get a GLS Audio ES-58 SM-58 clone for $39. I have a ton of these and they're great mics. I've used them when running sound for quite a few touring bands.
I use Ableton and was thinking of buying a Enttec DMXIS 70570, a Chauvet DMX-4LED 4-Channel Dimmer Pack, and a handful of strung lights, so they can dim and brighten automatically in time with the music. gotta find that max patch I had that converted track volume to midicc tho...
For most of our gigs we hire a sound and lighting company. They have far more (and better) gear than we ever will, and not having to set up/take down more stuff is awesome.
For smaller gigs, we have a fog machine, two Chauvet 4-Bar LEDs (Amazon Link) and a LED "Magic Ball" (Amazon Link). The 4-Bars are set up at the front of the stage at a 45, generally pointed at our singer. The "Magic Ball" sits in front of the kick drum. We also have a strobe that has an on/off footswitch controlled by the drummer, who also controls the fog machine (usually to excess, so we often threaten to take it away).
The 4-Bars are connected together and controlled by a footswitch that our singer controls. The "Magic Ball" is sound activated and generally follows the kick.
Throw in a large black curtain/sheet and our 3' x 10' band banner behind the drummer, and it's a (relatively) inexpensive setup that only uses a single 15-amp circuit.
This is what we used for our singer when he first joined and was still getting up to speed. Way more subtle than a music stand. Find a way to clip it onto the mic stand, and flip straight through the set.

I think she'd be fine with those Etymotics then. I mixed it up though. Meant ER 20, not RE20.

Why get a vocal amp when you can get a decent stereo PA system with multiple input and FX for that price?
Phonic Powerpod 410/S710 PA Package https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009AGFYWY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_XyU7xbNCXX3CG
Would this do the job? Aren't monitors for the singer to hear himself?
Oh and would I need a mixer in addition to that?
I'd look around for a used "all in one" type monitor speaker. Lots of them have 2 inputs, and an output to add an additional (active) speaker if needed.
If you have more than 1 vocal, pickup a small/cheap 2-4 channel mixer.
One example.
If you're looking for a literal self storage unit to practice in, there are adapters that can give you 110v outlets from light bulb sockets. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NV876K6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_AjkRDbBP2FBE1
Though that option may be a little chilly for this time of year.
ah, gotcha. I already have this in my personal inventory and thought about using it, but all the merch seemed disorganized in it.
What i like about the duffel idea is that it shrinks as the merch count does, whereas the tote stays the same even if empty.
Bad news its $470 now https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00M8AMDXW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_RiVrDb9GSC2G8
