Seokjin + Hoseok: This!
They are packing cubes. Giving the same gift to 2 members is lame, I know. But while these would be great for all the boys. I deffinitely think 2Seok would use them a lot and appreciate them. It would honestly be great for all the boys since they travel so much. It's not only great for organising but also compressing so you can pack more and keep your clothes wrinkle free. These boys love their clothes so keeping everything neat, wrinke-free and organised in their bags seems like it'd be useful.

Yoongi: I think he's not the type to splurge on himself too much and would like practical gifts. So a fancy but practical product would be good. Like an electric blanket, fancy set of superwarm and soft sheets(lifechanger) or a towelwarmer since he likes baths and there's nothing better than a warm set of towels after a bath.

Namjoon: There are these pocket sized trackers that you can use with app. They're pretty pricey. But I'd get him 10. One for his phone, one for his keys, one for his wallet, one for his passport and 6 for him to lose XD There are also these small charger cables that are also keychains. Since I'm sure he'd lose his charger as well, I'd get a couple of those too.

Jimin: Traveler Jewelery box. To me Jimin seems to be one of the members who enjoys jewelery the most. He's also pretty bad at losing things. So I'd get him a traveler jewelery box to keep track of all his bling while he's abroad.

Taehyung: 20 Outfits for Yeontan. I know he has a lot of fur so he doesn't need it and he'd probably hate it too. But please! All I need in my life is one picture of Yeontan in a little bowtie TT.TT Please fashionista V, unleash your love of ties on him.

Jk: One of these! It's basically a clip to attach your camera to your belt/bag/bagstrap/etc. It keeps your camera secure even when hiking/cycling/playing etc and is quicker and less clunky than a camera bag. I think he'd have a lot of fun playing with a drone too but I doubt he'd have many opportunities to use it since it's hard to carry around.

There's also some stuff in general I feel like they should have as a group... Like a portable luggage scale, international power adaptor(they probably have this but from my experience... You can never have enough), phone charger keychains, mini travelsized hairdryer, microfiber towels, This infinity mug

It could help you to look into conflict resolution techniques. I found a [page] that can give you a good start on the basics. You can read more on certain topics by googling it. Due to how people react differently based on their personalities, it can help you ascertain which approach you may use when tackling issues in regards to your best friend. Think about what you want to say and how to say it. Draw boundaries and though it may seem tempting, try not to antagonize her even if she antagonizes you. Don't go into a confrontation with fuel. Prepare for any reactions she might have based on the guide I linked. Also I enjoyed this useful [book] as it goes indepth and gives examples.

Personally I had a former friend of 8 years who she thought she could say anything to me and treat me rudely because she believed our long friendship was unbreakable - your best friend might be thinking the same way. My former friend was extremely insecure, said very disrespectful things about sensitive topics, and to a point she was narcissistic - she broke my trust in her. I was younger and knew nothing about conflict resolution so I ex-communicated her and our friend group. Though it broke my heart to do so, it's how I felt I needed to protect myself. That was a drastic action I did but I still don't regret it.

In my experiences now, my childhood best friend has at one point said it was weird that I liked BTS (her reservation was that they're collectively younger than us), but that was a very long time ago and hasn't said anything negative since. She cares more about me as a person than my music tastes. Everyone who I'm currently close now as well have the same sentiments and only say nice things about BTS because they know I am a fan. If they say anything negative, it's usually lightly teasing rather than being malicious.

So people who care about you will not try to tear you down and if your friend really respects you and cares for you, she will reconsider her actions should you bring it up to her. If not... well, I think you would already know how she sees you as a person. I hope she will eventually treat you better and consider your feelings more.

Edit - Okay, now that I can think...I love this concept because it depicts voyeurism with the implied camera within a mirror. Yet the subjects are also playing up to the camera, taking part. It’s a symbiotic narrative that also has a hint of exploitation to it. And the retro bathroom setting implies old Hollywood, especially with the kitschy palm trees painting. This reinforces the idea of the subjects struggling to make it in show business.

Edit 2 - There are 7 toothbrushes at the sink. This apartment has one bathroom for 7 people, reinforcing the idea of struggling performers sharing a small space. This also hearkens back to their earliest days of Bangtan.

Edit 3 - The story behind the concept aside, I think this layout is very smart, because it's immediately accessible for a Western audience. I have loved past BTS concepts, including the elements of fantasy, street, and history, and I own a lot of past albums. But I think this shoot will be very easy for Western consumers to relate to, and I think the retro American coastal aesthetic is familiar to many people around the world because of the prevalence of American entertainment in several countries.

Edit 4 - Maybe I'm thinking too much about this, but I wonder if the reference to the California aesthetic within the packaging is a shout-out to the Recording Academy, like, "Here's us doing some American stuff in our album packaging! When are you going to give us what we deserve? Are we mainstream enough for you guys yet?"

Edit 5 - Another thing (because I have no life, apparently)...the colors also remind me of the You Never Walk Alone album printings. The colors were pink and aqua. That's a pretty common color scheme, though, so I don't know how significant something like that is. BTS LY concert was the first concert I used high fidelity ear plugs. I used these and thought they did a pretty great job blocking out the high pitched screaming from fans but still letting me hear the music. They were about $19 when I got them and I thought they were absolutely worth it. I strongly feel my ears would've been ringing the next day if I didn't have them. Now I don't have a lot of experience with these types of ear plugs but I found that these types of ear plugs seem to range between $15-30 and all claim to do the same thing. The round Shark Tank ones do look like they may be more comfortable in your ears than the common pine tree looking ones I bought lol. I mean, mine were comfortable because they were squishy but the shape is pretty different from ear buds.

I bought some inexpensive concert earplugs off of amazon. I don’t go to concerts much, so I didn’t want to spend a bunch of money on something I’d only use a couple of times. The ones I bought worked great! The music and their voices were crystal clear, but it’s like the volume of the crowd was turned down. I could still hear the fanchants perfectly fine, and I had no problem talking with my sister next to me. I lost my voice singing and screaming, but at least I saved my hearing!

I have a quick question - sorry if the answer is obvious, but I've googled around and can't seem to find it.

When I go to preorder Love Yourself: Her on Amazon, it shows two different formats - one has a release date of Sept 18 and is sold out - the other is available and has an Oct. 4 release date.

With small local stores you can always check on their store finder if they stock it (not guaranteed!). If they don't have it, make them order. :P If you go to bigger stores (say Berlin Alexanderplatz), they seem to stock a whole BTS arsenal including the "Notes" books in several languages. :D

I know that MediaMarkt/Saturn and Müller have it, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are more. Especially now that it has been in the charts for so long. Several stores have some promotional setup for chart albums.

Small anecdote about version choices: They have one product code for all versions and the MM clerk tried to get all 4 on hand so I can choose, but they only ended up with 3+4. I wanted 1 or 2, but decided to get one anyway to make sure my sales count for the first tracking week. We barely missed #1 album though. TT

Yes, the 4 versions are different! You can see the specifications here.

Most albums with come with a photobook + a CD, plus extras. In this case, if you preorder first press edition, the extras include 2 photocards, a minibook, and a poster. The 4 versions will all have the same CD, but 4 different photobooks and 4 different posters. The PC are random 1 out of 28 PCs.

Unfortunately, buying from Kpop Mart or other 3rd parties such as kpoptown, ktown4u, yesasia, koreanmall, etc. don't count towards Billboard. Only this particular listing on Amazon officially posted by Bighit (with Amazon Prime shipping) counts towards Billboard. Some of the other sites do count towards Hanteo and Gaon though!
