Yep - bought them!

I was after a pair for gaming primarily - though I've concluded I'll use the wire when gaming (they come with a wire so you have the option) - there's a tiny moment of lag with bluetooth, no matter how premium the cans. When you play an album, lag behind your iPod doesn't matter as the song just plays. But gaming - yeah that tiny mismatch between pulling the trigger and hearing the shot is off-putting.

The 4.40s feel great to wear - wide soft pads that are snug without squeezing your ears (hate that!) parts all have that premium 'soft-coat' feel. And the sound quality is really good. Deep bass, with an isolated intimate space - if you want a wide-stage feel, these aren't for you.

I tried on every display set in the store and the others on my short list were: Beats EP's - (though NOT wireless) everyone likes to rag on Beats but these had a great build quality and sound. Also the Jabra Moves Those are two options Id recommend if you want to spend a bit less but the discount price from $249 to $187 was a factor!

only 'phones I thought were a lot better were the Bose QuietComforts - those sounded great and were really soft to wear, but pricey! The 4.40s were 90% as good for a third the price.

Im not that good at selling - particularly headphones as they are hugely subjective. I just went with what felt good, sounded good and was a good price! Check the reviews on Amazon for more detailed feedback!

Your build is solid, you won’t notice your PSU. It’s good.

I would: keep everything but swap the case. Add extra 120mm fan (any, doesn’t matter).

You can squeeze a few dollars with this 2060 vendor, same GPU your list but cheaper. it is $492 after coupon. Free shipping.

Also go on amazon and get the $121 RAM that’s 3200. Ryzens really perform better with 3200 speed RAM, and you can absolutely OC those sticks especially with your quality mobo. I think you can expect 4% faster CPU bound performance with the 3200 RAM over 3000.

Happy building and don’t wait too long. I’ve lost on sweet deals because I kept on trying to wait for a better deal.

Eh, you can probably find a pretty decent mechanical with Cherry switches for around $100 on sale (eg. something like a Corsair cheapy).

Alternatively you can cheap out even more and get one from Kogan that has inferior switches but cheap and cheerful unless you're a real keyboard nerd (which OP isn't).

It will at least give them a flavour for what it's like, but on a budget.

Personally I'm rocking a Kinesis Freestyle Edge and absolutely love it, but it's definitely not cheap. I started out with a cheap Kogan myself, really loved the feel of mech and worked my way up from there.

Not sure if you bought your parts already but here are some savings (saves you $106 in total):

$228 for Ryzen 2600 -

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/AMD-Ryzen-5-2600-Processor-16-MB-Cache-3-4-GHz-AM4-6-Core-12-Thread-Desktop-CPU/362358893529

$137 for white version of your RAM -

https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07B4G525F/?tag=pcppau-22

$511 for the same Gigabyte RTX 2060 -

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Gigabyte-nVidia-GeForce-RTX-2060-OC-6GB-GDDR6-Gaming-Graphics-Video-Card-HDMI/333013882468

With an extra $106 in your pocket, you can add another $35 for the 512GB Silicon Power PCIe NVMe (much faster than WD Blue SATA NVMe) drive on Amazon for $110 ($104 after cashback via Shopback).

You could save another $7 if you go for a Corsair TX650M for $122 (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Corsair-TX-M-Series-Modular-TX650M-650W-80-Plus-Gold-Certified-Power-Supply-PSU/362358953610) which is pretty much on par in terms of quality. Plus, free shipping rather than paying $15 at mwave.

Buy RAM from Amazon with free amazon prime trial and use a cashback site (CashRewards/shopback) for additional 5-6% off.

Buy everything else from Computer Alliance eBay with free trial of eBay Plus and PCVID15 discount code.

Total ~$1470 shipped for a Ryzen 2600/RTX2070 + more storage space. Alternatively drop the 2070 down to a 2060 or a 1660Ti for savings (buy that from Computer Alliance as well).

EDIT: credit to u/Phantombeasty for parts suggestion. I just found good prices for them :)

Sale is for this weekend only.

FYI I think this is the cheapest option for this particular kit (checked staticice, ebay with discounts applied etc.), let me know if you find it cheaper elsewhere.

It's also a pretty good price for the specs and has RGB as well. I was able to another with similar specs & price but it doesn't have RGB and required Amazon Prime membership for free postage and was shipped by Amazon US (so might take a while to arrive).

Some people think the THX logo is a tweeter. (The THX is not a tweeter)

Here's a review http://noaudiophile.com/Logitech_z623/

I don't like the z623 personally, the satellites sound thin and the subwoofer plays too much midrange.

If you think soundbars sound awesome then get a z623. $70 is cheap for audio with bass.

But if you're after better audio then we run into problems.

Some say the Edifier bookshelf speakers are good, The Edifier R1280T No bluetooth is currently on sale. I can't vouch for it for long term listening but I did hear one in person briefly in a store, sounded decent but unsure which model it was.

You can try a Voll 50 Passive speaker and hook it up with a SMSL Audio SA-36A or SMSL AD18 amp. You will need your own speaker wire if you go that route and it obviously all these audio components aren't cheap.

If you want to add a subwoofer in the future then the SMSL AD18 is the way to go, as it has sub-out.

TL;DR
Keep it simple with the Logitech and enjoy the bass or get serious and spend some more money.

Thanks Peunda!

How do the codes work?

I was quite keen on that particular model as well which is a shame but awell. The NX-EDG27 looks good as well.

I am yet to find a good 1440p 144hz IPS in 24" which is odd

Corsair omega carbide
https://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-Carbide-SPEC-Omega-Mid-Tower-Tempered/dp/B077G2SW34

Gorgeous case, pricey though, I got it one offer for 48 or probs wouldnt have snagged it. You can go ATX or micro ATX with this build.

The corsair works great with the components though, it is a high end case.

Another good value memory kit for those interested

16GB (2x8GB) G.SKILL Aegis 3000Mhz c16 for $129.80 (black/red)

https://www.newegg.com/global/au-en/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820232417

Additionally, also at amazon is white Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000 c16 for $129.87 + $8.24 delivery if not a prime member

u/jeohphys · 5 pointsr/bapcsalesaustralia

I remember buying 16Gb of corsair vengeance DDR4 3000MHz CL15 for AU$85 a year ago. Prices are so fucked at the moment.

As others have said though, you can get some better deals through Newegg and Amazon. I bought my motherboard and SSD from Newegg and saved about $200 (mainly on the mobo) compared to buying in Aus from PCCG etc.

I bought my RAM from Amazon in mid 2016 (when prices weren't crazy) but I'd say they will still be a bit cheaper than an Aussie vendor

EDIT:
Although OOS at the moment, this is sold by EVGA through Amazon and works out to be around AU$730

Cheaper ram - same timings? : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016A29PWA/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza?fbclid=IwAR0r6SGnQZC1Qi6heYElOJlv3izPtW_ICkmc_Z9pgbyU-dsh9jxW9mEeMlo

If you want better ram, good with ryzen 3600: can hit 3600mhz CL14 : https://www.amazon.com/Patriot-Viper-4133MHz-Performance-Memory/dp/B07KXBRR24?ref_=mw_olp_product_details&fbclid=IwAR2UgIPLVS-o5pAODbdJvn3dJr_kXEISxTZnTJsPdvR7SvHERzHfAwcBM1Q

I never really dug expensive motherboards. I'd swap it out for a cheaper one. I dont know Australian prices, but budget b450m motherboards should be around ~120 aud. Maybe buy local and they can update the board for you?

u/nanonan · 1 pointr/bapcsalesaustralia

Amazon will ship you one for free, around $160 after currency conversion: https://www.amazon.com/Fractal-Design-Meshify-TG-Lt/dp/B07B3JDBM2

Quite a few on ebay for around $250.

u/f0nt · 4 pointsr/bapcsalesaustralia

If you want, Amazon ships the 27UL850-B to Aus. Released August 9th. True 1ms, nano IPS, 1440p, 144hz

Yes, check out the comments on the OzBargain submission and you can look up reviews for the Viotek GN27D. The Amazon listing has lots of reviews.

u/foolishking · 1 pointr/bapcsalesaustralia

Looks like UMart is out of almost all there GPUs so I had to find the 1070 ti at amazon for 700$ GPU
