Listen my friend: If you haven't read the comic you are missing out. Please go grab book one. The show is good. I have some issues with it but I make it a point to get somewhere on Sundays to watch because it is good. The comic is amazing! Or you know, download it off the internet to check it out. I downloaded issues 1-51 along time ago. At around issue 30, I went to amazon and ordered everything I pirated. It was worth it.

I have a set of Logitech G930 headphones, and I love them. The sound quality is phenomenal (for my standards, at least). The mic is affixed to the headset, and all you have to do to mute it is push it up or set a mute button. It is wireless, but also has the ability to play wired, and it continues to charge while playing. I have had no issues with the sound while playing wireless. It has a USB connector that I have plugged into my keyboard, so maybe having it such short range is making a difference; I really don't know. The only con I can think of is after a few hours of gaming, they start to feel a bit heavy. Don't get me wrong, there is some great padding, but I can feel their weight after a long session.

Thank you for bringing the spot coolers to my attention. I've built countless amounts of rigs over the years for customers and yet have never come across or heard of them. Do you have any idea if they come without the blue LEDs? Better yet, can you turn the LEDs off? I have a Cooler Master HAF X with red and orange fans, so the blue would look pretty horrible. Also, how loud are they at full speed? I'm planning on adding another 560ti to my rig when I get the money and definitely want to utilize a fan system like this, as the top of the video card seems to just shit out some serious heat when it's under load. Right now I have something similar to this sitting above my GPU, and even though they do push good air, they are flimsy and unstable. I'm also going to assume you have them pointed to simply pass air over the bottom GPU and out of the back?

Sorry for the interrogation, you just seem to understand quality airflow and I'd like the input of someone who actually has experience with these fans.

Edit: Also, nice rig. :]

Thank you. I've been looking at recording solutions for a while, and since I have a desktop PC right next to my Xbox, I bought a Hauppauge
Colossus PCIe card. The thing is tiny, and you plug your Xbox into the card, then the card into the TV. Even when the PC was off it still passed through video. Super cool.

One downside is I can record only my friends' voice output, since it comes through the speakers. If you want a slightly more complicated setup, my friend BoneKin records with a Hauppauge HD PVR and some nifty wiring and a microphone. He's got a mixer patching the mic audio into the game audio, so you can hear everyone at once. I can probably dig up a crude MS Paint drawing he made to illustrate how it works, if you'd like.

I use these. Fucking. Amazing. Sits almost flush and I have 40+ gigs (a 32gb and a 16gb). They would be PERFECT for your xbox as well, Buy 2 - $40 - extra 64 gb of HDD space. You put all your music in folders I just name the folder the CD or artist. I can then search by spelling. Technology is amazing.

a good mouse is a huge advantage in bf3. I got the logitech G700 a few months ago, and it's seriously indispensable. You can change your sensitivity on the fly ... go lowest when you're sniping or doing long range shots, go highest when you're in jets and such.

Not to mention it looks awesome + it feels great in your hand.

sure thing, man! PROTIP: If you have a .edu email account, you can sign up for amazon student, and get amazon prime for free while you're in school. Really nifty.

for original xbox, amazon prime eligible: $56.70

for xbox slim, prime eligible: $50.86

You'll also need a Transfer cable Prime eligible: $7.49

edit: you get 6 months free, then it costs $39/yr, instead of $80/yr

Exciting! Just let me know if you ever have any questions or anything :)

The other thing I'd recommend is reading this: http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-History-Video-Games-Pokemon/dp/0761536434

Thank you so much for the compliments. I feel lucky to do what I do, so it means a lot! :D

The MX518 is no longer made and can be tough to find (though it is in stock at Amazon right now). Logitech just came out with the G400 to replace it. It's very similar in size, shape, and button layout with an improved sensor. I have a G5 and just recently bought a G500, they're both great. I wrestled between the G400 and the G500, but went with the G500 because it has adjustable sens, adjustable weight, and a laser sensor.

Also, don't forget about a good mouse pad! A good pad will improve your game at least as much as a good mouse. I have a Razer eXactMat (which is now tough to find) and a SteelSeries 4HD. I prefer the Razer, because it's aluminum and two-sided, but the SteelSeries does the job for half the cost.

Ive got a couple pairs...

I have the Senheiser 380 pro headphones, that is what I was playing on last night. As much as I love these headphones, they werent worth the money I paid for them.

I have a set of Berhingers that I got from amazon for like 25 bucks, they sound great for the money!

Thanks for the advice. This is my router, I assumed it was pretty good. I'm currently working through forwarding ALL THE PORTS and hopefully that solves the issue.

These are my favorite. SO JUICY.

Also, Amazon's customer care is ridonkulous, you can complain about whatever and they'll give you concessions. Price dropped after purchase? Here's a refund of the difference! Shipment was late? Here's a $5 gift card!

After looking for a good but cheap pair of full-cover headphones years ago I settled with the Sennheiser HD 201. I'm still using them for gaming music and movies, not a single problem ever.

I'm sure you can find better now but I would recommend Sennheiser. I use a separate mic as I don't really like gaming headsets.

I use the RAT 7.

Really good build quality, comes with 5 interchangeable grips and the mouse articulates to fit almost any hand.

You can switch DPI on the fly as well as cycle through preset profiles on the fly.

Had it for over a year without any problems.

Cases can be expensive, and expensive to ship, but for my first case, I got a mid tower case from cooler master, and if you sign up for a free month trial of amazon prime (no obligation, cancel it at any time/before the fre trial is up), you can get free 2 day shipping.

I have just solved this after two years of non HD battlefield. The HD content will not download onto anything other than an official Microsoft hard drive, annoying I know. You have two options:

1: Buy an official xbox slim hard drive (fake ones will NOT work). These are super expensive, approx £70 plus.

2: This is what I done. Buy an old xbox hard drive like this (original xbox hard drive in 120gb, 250gb or 320gb) and buy a slim hard drive case like this. Remove the old hard drive from the casing, for this you will need a torx 6 screwdriver. There are videos in YouTube should you require them. Take the hard drive out, put it into the slim hard drive case and it will work fine. Hard drives are EXACTLY the same!

I managed to pick up an old 120gb hard drive for £15 and a case for £5. I've also realised the benefit of installing games, vastly reduces the noise your xbox makes. Enjoy the HD!

I'm using optical out for my speakers, therefore, my analog connections are available still on my soundcard. I have the battlelog chat setup to use my mic and direct audio to my analog speakers which is what my headset is using. Therefore, I hear the game in my nice speakers, and hear people talking in just my headset while I can also talk back to them.

I actually use the Xbox 360 headset and it works perfectly:
http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Head-Set-Communicator/dp/B000B6MLU0/ref=dp_cp_ob_vg_title_2

You have to use this to connect it to your pc which will allow you to use the speaker and the mic:
