Friends of mine have sworn by Brolly brand protectors (they're big for bedwetting here in NZ): http://www.amazon.com/Brolly-Sheets-Kids-Waterproof-Protector/dp/B00O7M6S3A
Once you hit amazon up at that link there will be a few more suggested items that look promising too :) Best of luck!
We use this stroller and I love it because it folds up into a shape similar to the umbrella strollers. It has some under carriage storage, a reclining seat for kiddo, and the material wipes clean pretty easily. It doesn't include any sort of cup holder though so we added this little guy to velcro between the handle bars up top. It works out pretty nicely but you have to un velcro one side each time you close up the stroller is all. We use a diaper bag that is carried like a backpack and so we generally hang it on the handles behind the drink carrier.
Since you are having little one #2 - this stroller is compatible with the baby trend travel system as well, so that could be handy too. I can't review the use of it though since I have never tried it with the car seat attached.
Clothing will be about the same, though bring the hoodie for the occasional cool morning/evening. Umbrella/raincoat. We use this brand of bug spray. You can find it in any natural foods store here.
How much you get bitten depends on where you are and what you want to do. If you're going in the woods, no matter the time of day you are going to get bitten a lot. Any shady, forested area is swarming with them by this point in the year. If you're mainly in the city and not out very early or late, you might not even see one. However, bites really aren't that bad, so don't worry about it much. Kids often aren't even bothered. The lightweight hoodies will do you no good at all, so don't bother--mosquitos can get you through all your clothes, even jeans, unless you have thick, multiple layers on. They tend to go for exposed skin first but certainly not exclusively. The only advantage of full-coverage clothing is you can spray DEET on the clothes and not get it on your skin.
I like these ones:

I took some of their classes and loved them!
Heh, well. Keep in mind that she'll figure out how to defeat it eventually -- my son figured out how to turn the knob inside the guard after about two nights.
Frankly, if you're bound and determined to keep her in her room, swapping her doorknob with the bathroom's (and putting the lock on the outside) is a surer bet. We had to do that briefly (two nights).
But, imho, the better long-term bet is to teach them when it's appropriate to leave their room and when it isn't. We got the original version of this clock, which goes blue for bedtime (and light blue for naps) and turns yellow again automatically for "it's okay to get up and leave your room now!".

These are pretty great. We use it for my son's nightlight which is plugged into the wall. Allows things to be plugged in and if they take it out they can't use the outlet. I didn't see you mentioning moving into a toddler bed or something like that? Once they regularly start climbing out of the crib it can be dangerous due to the long fall.
My dd has just started using an open cup without screaming and/or crying. We have this cup
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00EUNWYQ6/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1422399060&sr=8-1&dpPl=1&dpID=41Z4idizr1L&ref=plSrch&pi=AC_SX200_QL40
and I think the novelty of the little animal inside makes her want to use it. I just added a little bit of water (maybe 5mL) the first time, and have slowly increased it as she gets used to the cup. Hope you find something that works for you soon!
Rose went from bottles straight to straws. She didn't figure out sippy cups until she was 2. We went with a Tommee Tippee variety at first, and then bought some Munchkin ones like this. Now we use cups like these, and they have sippy cup lids too (my second daughter prefers sippy lids to straw lids).
We had a little potty seat, but it ended up being this disgusting poop-covered thing getting thrown around the bathroom. We found this which was a lifesaver and we've used it for years.
We use the munchkin brand straw sippy cups from target. They are pretty cheap, and PJ does really well with them. We also have some cups with characters on them for when he is being picky. He will drink anything out of his Mickey Mouse cup. Haha.
I couldn't find them on targets website, but here they are on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B006Y3S838/ref=pd_aw_sims_3?pi=SS115&simLd=1
I got my daughter one of these after having much the same problem. It's sort of a vinyl fabric but if you sew you could always use the existing one as a template and make a new one. I've been very happy with it so far and we've had it 6 months or so.
Yup, came here to suggest these. They work great! http://www.amazon.com/Safety-1st-Adapter-Plug-Cover/dp/B003YVHXAW/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1427397491&sr=8-3&keywords=Outlet+cover

It's got some really good ideas!
We got lucky with our Lil girl. We were gifted this straw sippy and she looooves it. Zoli Baby BOT - Straw Sippy Cup - Orange - 6 oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BH0P1E2/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_XUjhub08KAS57
We recently had a trip up to Canada and got these boots for my 17-month-old. They worked out well. We ordered a size up because he would be wearing bulkier pants than usual, but he was still able to walk in them just fine.
Basically like these, but in toddler sizes. http://www.amazon.com/Burts-Bees-Baby-Unisex-Essentials/dp/B00DF28T1W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1451529189&sr=8-1&keywords=footed+pants
Yep, like this but a different brand.
