I use a gigabyte with a 1060 in it. Specifically this one: https://www.amazon.com/GIGABYTE-P57W-SL3-GTX970M-i7-6700HQ-Computer/dp/B01B962FXS

It runs everything on medium easily when plugged in, and can chug along on super low setting for the hour or so the battery lasts when gaming unplugged lol

TeckNet Laptop Cooling Pad, Portable Ultra-Slim Quiet Laptop Notebook Cooler Cooling Pad Stand with 2 USB Powered Fans, Fits 12-16 Inches https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014F4SBMK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Cht6CbQQA6NJN

Something like this would help you have some extended gaming sessions while keeping the thing cool and should help reduce sound.

For gaming laptops, be prepared to go BIG on your budget to get performance. That laptop would probably suffice, but the Asus ROG that I linked would give you better bang, probably constant 60 FPS. I'd also reccomend when you do get your laptop, cracking into the BIOS settings and force turning off the Intel Integrated Graphics so that you don't have any problems with that.

CPU: intel i7 6700hq
GPU gtx 1060 6gb
RAM 6 gb
My system is a gaming laptop (I use it to work/ gamming) at 1080p the game play aroud 50 fps in very high with dropes in cities,
at 1440p at high I play around 40 fps

However the draw distance in this game is very short then you can sew how a lot npc and items spawn,

I'm glad I bought my 1080ti when I did. How much are you willing to spend?

I built a small system for my girl friend's kids and used a GTX 1050 which actually runs the game on medium settings fine with the expected frame drop in congested areas. These are still relatively affordable despite bitcoin miners.

You can get a 1050ti for around $250, but I see a 1060 on Amazon for $259.

I would stick with Nvidia regardless though.

If you have 3k to spend on a game you probably aren't worrying about money. It's a recreational expense, like buying a stupidly expensive kayak or fitting all your aquariums (no, nobody just has one) with $300 canisters. People with extra money do spend on their hobbies, and gaming is a hobby.

Yes, I did see some distasteful comments about Acer support. This was the ASUS monitor I was considering: https://www.amazon.com/PG279Q-2560x1440-G-SYNC-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B01N4ENDXR/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1509493821&sr=8-1&keywords=PG279Q&th=1 but 21 hz for 150 bucks did not sound too appealing for me.

I have an Acer Predator X34, and the screen size & resolution spoiled me against playing on anything smaller. However, it is an older model, both Alienware and LG are newer with higher OC-able fps. Monoprice also have a decent one at half the price of others.

Don't need to worry about free/g-sync with these, since you won't be able to push anywhere close to these monitors limits with a 1070; my 1080ti only getting 60~90 fps

Stick to any other setting that’s between 60 to lower 80s. You could try getting a laptop cooling pad or this ..i dont own one since mine is incompatible..seems very effective according to reviews.

I have an external fan that sucks the air out of my laptop. It's ran through USB and it was $25. Works really well

Rocking this baby at 240hz, 144hz is fine and 120hz is minimum standard today.

This is the processor you are talking about. For $300 you can get a CPU/Motherboard combo on Newegg.com that would easily outperform that processor.

It's your money, but I would not invest $300 into that motherboard, which is what you would be doing.

I have this one. It's night and day on the PS4. It's a simple matter of plugging it into the USB port and switching the drive under settings.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073GZBT36/ref=twister_B074T4VYCV

Don't worry about max speed and all that shit. The USB ports on the PS4 are well equipped for the max speed of this drive, and it's among the fastest, most stable, and most affordable.

Here's a post I made a couple months back with 3 different PS4 setups: https://www.reddit.com/r/blackdesertonline/comments/cwco0e/my_experience_ps4_hdd_ps4_pro_hdd_ps4_pro_ssd/
